Well, I saw the Butchers Daughter and I thought "meat", not realizing that it meant the 'Rogue" daughter that went vegan so I was surprised when I arrived to a vegan menu. I am not vegan and actually eat a lot of meat. That sid, They had some interesting options and the food was very good. I had The Greek Eggs. I also had a delicious tea called Golden Hour or something and it was wonderful. So, if you are a Vegan in Brooklyn, you'll love it. If you think you are coming to a chop house, you'll be sorely disappointed.

Visiting my daughter in Brooklyn for the weekend and the hotel offered a 10% discount at this restaurant so we decided to try it since we were starving and it was easy. Very charming atmosphere and great location, especially for people watching, but somehow I did not realize this was a vegetarian restaurant, and I am not a vegetarian. The name is deceptive in that “butcher” in the name would indicate meat, but alas, in this case, the Butcher’s daughter became a vegetarian! I ordered a salad, which was just OK and were it not for the very delicious hummus and pita I would have left hungry. My daughter really enjoyed her couscous salad, and the tres leches cake we got for dessert was light and not too sweet. The servers were very polite, but could have been more attentive as we waited what seemed like too long for the things we ordered. I thought it was pretty pricey for what we got, but remembering it is NY!
