   Lovely restaurent/pub - good service, food and excelent well kept beer. Jo-Anne was very welcoming and David is a good chef. The pub was busy, but not crowded. Whilst it was a small menu, the food freshley cooked and tasty.

   2nd visit to The Butchers Arms and we wasn’t disappointed. It was Valentine’s Day and the staff really looked after us. Had some good chat and the food was exceptional. Everyone should try this restaurant. Incredible.

    Very warm welcome, they had noted my comments on booking form. Cosy position by the fire. Gorgeous range of meals on offer. Service prompt but did not feel hurried at all. Very friendly staff. Overall a fabulous evening, thank you.

    Always a friendly welcome from the moment you walk through the door. Lovely glass of fizz at the bar before going to the table. It’s a lovely environment with log burning stoves. It’s a small venue but great for couples or small groups. Then the food …. Even with a small menu it is almost impossible to choose. The attention to detail is amazing but the food is delicious without being too over complicated. Thank you Butchers Arms for another wonderful evening

    Our first visit to the Butchers Arms and we were not disappointed. It is a lovely old pub that was warm and welcoming on a cold night with a lovely log burner to add to the ambience. We received a warm welcome, friendly professional service and food that was just fabulous. We had a lovely night and will definitely go back. Sue & Karne from Upleadon

    From stepping into the restaurant, the staff were welcoming and engaging. They went above and beyond checking on some of our groups allergies, amending dishes where possible. The food was fantastic and we were still talking about certain dishes the next day. Highly recommend, an absolute delight!

    Excellent restaurant to visit. We were served by a lovely, friendly team that tended to all our requests and really made us feel at home. The food was delicious; all three courses for each customer was different but perfectly presented and really tasty. Thank you very much.

    My girlfriend and I had a brilliant meal on Saturday evening December 17th . The food was totally amazing and presentation of the highest quality. The Butcher’s arms is great country pub with great staff , nothing a problem. This is the second time I’ve been and it didn’t disappoint, festive feel and log fires, great food . Perfect night out just before Christmas. Adrian Arnold .

    First visit. Birthday lunch with my wife, so we didn't hold back; including the venison and the lamb as mains, which were both excellent, beautifully plated, great range of interesting flavours. Staff friendly and genuine. This is a pub, not silver service with mood lighting, and the better for it. Will certainly be returning.

    Another excellent meal. The duo of lamb cutlet and rolled shoulder of lamb offered a delicious contrast in texture and flavours, with imaginative vegetables and saucing. A generous piece of hake came with chorizo and a good mix of vegetables and sauce to accompany it. There is a very limited selection of wines by the glass, but they are well chosen. The New Zealand Sauvignon blanc is very pleasant and the Southern French Malbec worked well with the lamb. Lovely desserts - chocolate cremeux and chocolate Grenache with cherries and honeycomb is an old favourite, but the stand out was the baked Alaska, which was really well done. Friendly and efficient service on a busy night.

    Excellent food served by friendly people in a very relaxed and cosy environment. We were warm on a very cold day and the food was both interesting and delicious. Parking was plentiful and easy which is a godsend in these crowded days. Altogether a good experience with none of the little disappointments that so often accompany meals out.

    All you could wish for in a country pub dining experience. Charm, character, conviviality and exceptional food. There is a sense of timelessness here, the space is unfussy and informal, leading me to feel comfortable and relaxed. The welcome is prompt yet warm, and the food beautifully presented and perfectly delicious, and was accompanied only by the hum of other satisfied customers.
