My absolute FAVORITE place for brunch in LA! The smoked salmon eggs Benedict are one of my top 5 favorite meals in LA!
We were very happy with our French toast and our Omelette - both were very good.
Our server and the rest of the staff were very nice, very attentive - even though they were mobbed and even though they were about to get shut down for the quarantine.
I’m so glad we were able to make it out before all the restaurants were ordered closed.
made reservation for 4 on opentable but they said the reservation was for 2! we wait another hour for that!
Staff and food are amazing!! Great place for brunch
Nice and courteous service, but it stops there. Food looks beautiful but is lacking in flavor. Another over-hyped LA restaurant
The food is always great!
Loved having breakfast here! The presentation of the food is so cute, and the cafe itself is very pretty. Our server, Oscar, was exceptionally attentive and very friendly!! I loved this place :)
The food was good! We had a very long wait time so I checked on open table and was able to make a reservation 25 minutes sooner than when the hostess said she’d seat us. (Little weird) The server was nice but seemed very busy and could have used some help. My mimosa flight was so cute but took 15 minutes to be brought to me.... the food arrived before my drink. Good ambiance.
Come on your birthday for a free birthday shake! The seafood omelette was also so good
Hostess was kind, although I had to wait a bit because my friend was running a few minutes behind and there were obvious open table. Ambience was nice. We sat right outside on a nice sunny days First thing we ordered were our coffees but they didn’t come for about twenty five minutes, which was basically at the same time as our food. It was good though. Food was presented beautifully but the breakfast sandwich and the smothered potatoes were a bit too greasy for my tastebuds all at once. It was tasty but not my favorite. I’d say if you order the sandwich get some fruit to even out the flavors.
Lovely waitress, delicious food, lovely atmosphere! A great brunch experience!
They are SUPER BUSY. Always a line outside. But for the business the service was on point. The server greeted us right away. Checked on us a few times and she answered our questions throughly. The food and lattes we ordered cake out pretty quickly for the volume of customers they had. The lattes are super cute and tasty. Even the food was very delicious. It is on the pricier side, but definitely worth trying it out.
Love this place. Food is interesting and sooooo good, atmosphere fun, and although there was a wait, even with reservations, we'd go back. Worth it.
Overall, food and coffee were average. The breakfast potatoes lacked salt and overall flavor, the breakfast burrito was something I could have made at home, the sausage wasn’t even cut up. The colorburst latte looked cool, tasted average for a coffee house. Ambience was good, and server was friendly.
I planned an awesome fun filled day for my soon to be married friend. We started at BBCM and it was sheer perfection. The ladies could stop raving about the start to our day of dress shopping. We will definitely be back. From the prompt service yo the most beautifully artistic coffee I’ve ever had. Memories were made!
Really comfortable dining. Relaxed and welcoming non complex food.
No one had their order at the same time. The food was horrible. The milkshake took 35 mins. We left everything we ordered.
I loved everything about this classic yet trendy eatery! The food, service and decor is enough to lift anyone’s spirits! When I return to LA the Butcher the Baker and the Cappuccino Maker will be my first stop!
Bravo!
Didn't get seated until 30 mins after my reservation time. Ordered the mushroom/potato/onion/kale skillet omelette, received a plain egg omelette with sauteed mushrooms/potato/onion/kale heaped on top...?
Amazing everything: mimosa flight, lattes, eggs benny, French toast thick and awesome. Can’t wait to return
The food was decent, but not life changing. The service however was dreadful. We got our food before our coffee, which took 40 mins (!!!) to arrive. The waiter didn't apologize & attempted to charge us full price. I'm really not a person who complains or gets things taken off of bills. I'm also not a person who tips less than 20%, but OUCH this place did not have customer service to match the ambiance and food.
Outstanding!
Be prepared to wait for a table, even with a reservation. We waited another 15-20 minutes after our reservation time. Also, the food took a long time to come out so don't expect a quick brunch (At least 30 minutes and our food was delivered at different times). Server was nice and food was pretty good.
I would never come again. Benedict was cold as if it had been for an hour when served, salmon was not fresh at all. SERVICE WAS REALLY RUDE. The guy asked us for at least five times whether we had finished or not, he urged us to leave ASAP when we had finished🙂At last we let him take away and he had our check immediately placed on table, so rude and ridiculous servant. He also acted like a “butcher” —rudely got our plates away and did not pay attention to the table linen. The linen fell on my dress and made it dirty af. He never apologized even though I almost screamed at that time.
Worst brunch experience.
The waitress, Lindsey, was great and the food was phenomenal.
It was wonderful!! We loved the food and drinks! Will be back for sure!
The restaurant was empty and the music was blasting.
I ordered a burger medium, and it came raw with the cheese barely melted. But the service was so slow (I blame it on the kitchen, not the server), there wasn't time to send it back.
I never write these negative reviews, but I'm making an exception for this place. I want to warn potential customers as unsuspecting as I was that they would be much better off choosing another restaurant or just going hungry.
My friend and I sat at the bar. We were served by Dimitri, who was extremely personable and friendly.
My friend had to catch a flight from LAX, so we were in a hurry. We each ordered coffee drinks. I ordered the smoked trout tartine, and my friend ordered avocado toast. A long time passed before we received anything. Finally, our coffee drinks arrived. About 25 minutes later, Dimitri noted that our food was on its way out. We received our entrees 10 minutes later. My friend enjoyed his avocado toast, but my tartine was deplorable. First, it was served with a fish that was clearly smoked SALMON (due to
Its pink color and texture), not smoked trout. It was dry and had no flavor. Dimitri mentioned that because of the holiday, the kitchen had not received its orders and staff had to run out to gather ingredients. I imagine that smoked trout could not be found at the nearest 7/11z
The tartine was to be layered with marscpone cheese. It tasted as if it was spread with crème freche and has been sitting out for hours. It was actually not good at all. The only reason I ate it is because we had been waiting for so long and I was starving. We didn’t have time for me to send it back and order something else, but I would have had we not been on a time constraint.
I’m offended that I was served a fish that the kitchen thought could pass for trout. I am not an idiot.
I used to love this place, but I’ll never be back.
Great lunch.
Service slow. Ran out of potatoes?!
Ordered eggs - they came out raw with burnt toast. Had to send them back as not edible.
My friends French toast was awesome though.
Wouldn’t go back.
Walked out!!! had no coffee after 30 min wait, were out of potatoes and were out of fruit, lousy management and food choices on menu were few and poor
Just down the street from me so I might be biased but its great
waited for over an hour and our food never came! ended up just paying for the drinks and walked out! such a bad experience
I don’t understand if the chef forgot to put any kind of salt or spice in the food that day or they should just turn it into a strict coffee place
Great location and ambience. We had an amazing friendly waiter and the food tasted yummy.
Cool spot!
Every visit has been great. The food is good and the service is top notch. When we've booked in advance we've been given a great booth inside. Can't wait to come back!
Great brunch with great drinks and great coffee.
I had a pretty good time, my friends and I each got a Benedict and tried a little of each. The maple bacon biscuits were perfection, the color burst lattes were exactly what we were hoping. I do wish I could request specific colors, but it was a great experience. My server who’s name I am forgetting but I believe it started with an R, and I’m almost positive it was Rasheata? I could be totally won’t and if so, I’m sorry. Your service was great.
The staff seemed to be a bit alarmed because of the forecasted rain situation, thank goodness I made reservations otherwise I would have been turned away.
Great service, the restaurant was packed but the food came out quickly. Food was excellent - definitely plan on coming back for brunch.
