Great atmosphere! Decent menu choices. My wife loved the burger. They steaks the rest of us had were good as well. The chorizo meatballs were fantastic!! Service was great! Would recommend!

By far the best place to eat in Cincinnati. Food is better than other more well known restaurants in town. Service is always wonderful and the atmosphere is great. Worry that at some point everyone will find out about hidden gem. Until then it’s going to be our only place to dine.

Outstanding service. Very attentive to our table (had 3 kids) brought cups with lids. Instant tip! Friendly atmosphere. Food is always amazing! We have eaten here on restaurant week and regular weeks. Its always the same good service! Chorizo app and steaks are great. The grill for 2 was to die for. My 3 kids loved that. Burger with an egg is one of my go to’s.

Well the food was good , the barrel sauce on the potatoes and the espresso gelato amazing., but the issue was apparently under staffing? We ordered a Gin Martini, and a Guiness and waited . And waited . And waited … prompted to order dinner without even a drink to enjoy ? The glass of wine for dinner and it arrived mid meal . The old fashion my husband ordered was basically for dessert. We were there for the first time , and my son’s actual 21st birthday. But it’s pricey and to spend $259 bucks plus tip , for 4 , I expect the meal to be wonderful. Sadly , ok experience .

Had dinner to celebrate a birthday last night. Had to be out by a certain time. Not only was our serve proactively watching out for us but he made it almost unnoticeable so we truly enjoyed the experience. I have a gluten allergy and our server was knowledgeable and we had one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend!

We had a great experience at Butcher and Barrel. The service was outstanding from the Hostess, to the Bartender to our Server. All the food was delicious. We had the Argentine Parrillada Experience with the brussels sprouts, mac & cheese and gnocchi. It was outstanding! Highly recommend this dish.

I have to especially comment on our server. We told her when we arrived that we had to get to a soccer game and needed to be in and out in an hour. She was on top of it, and we completed our meal with five minutes to spare, and there was absolutely no dip in service or quality.

This was my first visit to Butcher and Barrel. Was blown away by the bone-in ribeye! It was one of the best steaks I've ever had--and far better than what you typically get at the big chain steakhouses. It was succulent and so flavorful. The secret to all that flavor is the black garlic butter they use to cook it. In fact, I never used the chimichurri sauce that came on the side. The steak was perfect by itself! The provoleta appetizer (melted provolone cheese with marinated tomatoes and onions on top) was also delicious. So the food was top-notch. My only disappointment was the "sports bar" atmosphere of the restaurant. Fortunately it wasn't crowded and the noise level was moderate, so my friend and I still enjoyed a good conversation. I'll probably return for the food, but will be careful to choose a night where it's likely not to be too busy.

My fiancé and I ordered the Parrillada Experience - I would recommend it. The grilled Cesare was unique and dressing was excellent. The main dish came out and all the meat was cooked perfectly. The fries and Brussel sprouts are tasty accompaniments to the dish. We had enough for dinner and lunch the next day. I also had the Argentine Old Fashioned, which was a nice pairing with the dinner. Ambiance was very cool. Would recommend dining here.

Food was decent but overpriced. Server was very friendly and professional. New “convenience fee” of 3.5% which server wasn’t sure about but believed was for credit card fees. They offer a 7%discount if you pay cash, which my parents did, but they were still charged the “convenience fee” . $40-$60 entrees don’t come with side or salad- those are additional 12-15$ each.

Absolutely phenomenal. Hands down the BEST skirt steak I’ve ever had!!! Ever!! All of our food was perfect. We had Brussels the potatoes and our friends had the experience, which they let us sample. We finished with an apple pie empanada. Great service. Casual yet beautiful atmosphere. We will absolutely be back! If you’re on the fence. RUN! Also. Shout out to Jordan, our server. He was very fun and on top of it all!
