I called to change my reservation that I originally made in the open table app for my bf's birthday (he is from Argentina. I wanted him to have a taste of "home") The DM was very helpful & adjusted the reservation without any issue. She asked if there was a special occasion we were celebrating? When I explained she asked if he had a favorite dish/dessert? I expressed that he loves dulce de leche. She spoke to her chef who said she would make that special for him. The DM requested that I ask for her when we came in.
The evening of our reservation we were sat immediately at a very comfy table with soft swivel chairs. Our waitress, Shelby, was very professional and very and personable. We order the house special drinks, french martini, sweet and very yummy, with a hint of raspberry puree, and 3 empanadas, the ground beef, spinach and korean bbq (which was not authenticatic to Argentina (obviously) but very tasty. We ordered our entrees-fabulous and very well presented. The spare rib with gnocchi with white truffle sauce...a delight! My bf had thin breaded chicken breast covered with perculli and cheese served with delicious seasoned steak fries. Also delicious (but not authentic to Argentina. However, the theme at Butcher n barrel is Italiano-Argentina). While we were there the DM made sure we were well taken care of & Shelby's service was excellent! The chef made crepes with Dulce de leche special for my bf and served it to us with a slice of their famous delicious tiramisu cake as well. Both were impressive we were empresses with the food, service & inviting atmosphere. The DM also asked my bf for tips how they could honor their owners Argentine heritage on their menu. My bf gave her a few ideas. We look forward to our next trip to Butcher n barrel. Maybe we will see a suggestion or 2 that my bf offered on the menu soon. We were both every impressed with his birthday celebration. We will return soon.

They've got Cincinnati's empanadas! What else needs to be said?!?! Seriously, the short ribs are really amazing as is mac and cheese with chorizo. We had a carry-out last month and this was the first restaurant we have eaten in after our vaccinations. Can't wait to try other menu items.

We always enjoy butcher and barrel. It has become one of our favorite spots in the city. Great food and drink and the staff is awesome. They take Covid serious and keep the restaurant to a safe capacity. We look forward to our next visit already!

I would recommend it the food is just mediocre the short rib was dry the chicken wings was burnt the chimi wasn’t spicy the Bolognese wasn’t good no flavor they didn’t even want to let us bring in a birthday cake most restaurant would accommodate you and even cut it for you not this restaurant overall it was a bad experience on a important day

Dinner was very good. Of course to each their own with taste, but our family memebers all like their meals very much. We had a variety to. Would recommend. Higher priced than our usual restaurant but it was a special occasion and we enjoyed dinner very much.

Excellent. Had steak dinner-for-two with repollitos (little cabbages) Brussels and puréed potatoes and charred ranch salad — everything from the word “go” was perfection! Service was spot-on ... one of our new favorite restaurants!

Me and my wife chose Butcher and Barrel for our Anniversary dinner and it did not disappoint. The Argentine-style steakhouse has very good food and service. With the pandemic-based safeguards in place, the restaurant staff did a great job of being hospitable.

The Paradilla Experience was of good quality meats and flavor. Our sides of the Brussel Sprouts and the Grilled Ranch Salad along with a glass of Malbec were a perfect compliment to the mains.

To finish it off, the tiramisu was a nice end to the occasion.

We wouldn’t mind coming back again for another round of some more Argentine cuisine. Hopefully the restaurant will return to its expanded menu once this pandemic is over.

We were so excited to come here and it did not disappoint!! The server was wonderful, she was attentive and was able to recommend some wonderful cocktails and was very patient with us. The food was absolutely mouth watering. It was flavorful and comforting with a flare. The meal was so amazing my fiancé had to bring his dad the very next night! The atmosphere was perfect for us as well. The tall back booths really made it cozy and intimate. We will definitely be returning again!

We enjoyed are dinner celebrating my son's birthday. They were even so kind as to go to the trouble of finding my phone number and letting me know I left my credit card. It was very much appreciated since I wouldn't have discovered it until Sunday morning and they don't open until 5:00 on Sunday so I would have been back in Toledo by the time they opened.

Would definitely recommend or visit again if the opportunity arises.

Our experience was quite nice on Valentine's day. The service and ambience were very good. The ribeye steak was good but not one of the best I have had. Overall we had an enjoyable meal and would probably try this again.

Our table had mixed reviews on food. My filet was amazing my husbands steak, was terrible. The menu was a bit confusing and what they have on line is not the same options in the restaurant. But the place looked great and you could hear. Might be a place to grab a drink before a show.

Went with high expectations and was let down tremendously. The menu was vague and confusing, the service was subpar at best and the food was not appetizing. We ordered the only starter they offered, which was bruschetta, and it was the furthest from bruschetta as bruschetta can get. We ended up leaving after finishing our drinks.

The service was great, but the food was, at best, adequate. We had the assortment of meats, and most wasn’t all that flavorful. Had had far better meats at other places. Desserts were great though. For the price, the food wasn’t worth it. Much better value at the other venues we have tried.

T his is the first time I have been disappointed here. We ordered two burgers, the porterhouse for two and a grilled Cesar with chicken on top. All of the meat was chard on the outside and crusty. It is almost like it was cooked on a broiler that was too hot. Very disappointing as this has always been one of our favorite places for steak. Hope it was just an anomaly with a new line cook

Last minute reservation for the family and their got us in. Surprisingly we came to get steaks but none of us ordered steaks. Our meals were great nonetheless. The drinks were very good and the creme brûlée and tiramisu were awesome. Service was very good and the atmosphere was spot on. Highly recommend.

Great time at Butcher and Barrel! Glad inside dining is open. Large dividers at booths kept our party isolated from others. Curfew and all COVID regulations are followed. Food is delicious! Our friends had just gotten engaged and this was a wonderful celebration dinner. Highly recommend!

Fabulous waitstaff, for starters. Very attentive. Answered all questions about the menu. We ordered empanadas and steaks, all of which were great. The red chimichurri was so good! We both ordered our steaks Pittsburghed, and we were not disappointed. The kitchen achieved a perfect sear on both steaks. My husband enjoyed our mashed potatoes with red chimichurri to much, I barely got any! This was a great night out.

The meal started off great. The grilled salads and empanadas were amazing. Then things went down hill. The waiter "forgot" about use and we waited to order our entrée for about 10 min after we finished our appetizer and salad. The chicken Milanese (their version of Chicken parmigiana) was dry and no much flavor. The mash potatoes were bland but the Short Rib Gnocchi was delightful. They offered us a free dessert for the poor service. The description was a freshly baked chocolate cookie soaked in a leches sauce. The cookie are hard (I could not even stick a fork in it) and and cold. IT tasted more like a smore than tres leches. I would go back for just the salads and empanadas but not much else.

Unfortunately could not eat every single item in the menu. Those we tasted were delicious and left us claiming for more. The empanadas are as great as their ones at Che, new discoveries in this restaurant were the Chorizo Mac & Cheese and the Braised Ribs with Gnocchis. To our dismay we did not have more room to savor the Parrilla Argentina. Guess another visit to The Butcher and Barrel is on the horizon.

Got fried cheese for appetizer. I honestly didn’t understand why it was on menu. Maybe it’s my fault for ordering. Entrees were good not great but good. Love the atmosphere and decor. Good service. It’s a solid spot I wouldn’t list as
