The Guinness beef stew, vegetarian shepherd's pie and Fish and Chips are guest favorites. We have a wide range of vegetarian and vegan options available.
Enjoy one of the many signature cocktails and draft beers available at the full bar. The Burren encourages guests to stay for a lingering social experience while enjoying good conversation
Service was a bit slow considering the number of servers to customers. It took a while for us to place our order while servers were just chatting with each other at the bar.
uncomfortable seating opposite mens room and kitchen. Cold many people wearing outer clothing.
I had to return Guinness Irish stew as it was cold - Beef very tough. Could not hear llive music which was a pity because we stood and listened s we were leaving and they were very good
a broad space dedicated to good music. irish spirit fills in the air. and the music. nice beer brands. summarizing: a place to be happy.
Went with a group of 5 former classmates from graduate school. We stayed for hours and our server could have not been more pleasant. One person in our party showed up a full hour late but our server showed no signs of impatience which one rarely sees in restaurants these days. Thank you for being so kind and patient.
all 4 of us loved our food and particularly enjoyed the multiple vegan and vegetarian options on the menu! Had salmon, spinach salad, quinoa dish, vegetarian pot pie, sweet potato fries, and carrot cake and key lime pie. Highly recommend and will return after trying for 1st time in 15 yrs. since banned smoking inside :D
Classic Irish Bar and Restaurant where you can reserve tables in the FRONT room via Open Table. However, you must buy online tickets to see evening music performances that are held in a separate large BACK room, which serves some food too.
great music, friendly staff, good food and drink. perfect! will be back
Nice place with good brunch and live music, but it seemed outrageous to all of us to be charged $14 cover charge to watch student vocalists sing when we were going to be paying for brunch!
Amazing brunch before a day of college football!! Delicious food, good coffee and Guinness. Who needs more?!
Wonderful service. Great food. Loved the Irish music.
The best. Authentic Irish pub. Lots of lively conversations and NO TV’s!!! The food was fine but not like Mum used to make in Athenry.
They couldn’t honor our reservation. Waited 40 min as they seated people walking in off the street. Walked across the street where they seated 10 of us in 5 min. Great atmosphere but they don’t know how to manage seating.
Went for the first time to the Burren to see Susan O'Neill... She was fabulous and all else was perfectly good. Bring her back if you can!!!
Good food but my Sam draft was warm and had to get a bottled beer instead
Fun place to hang out, eat and drink. Would come again.
We had reservations for Sunday brunch at the Burren. When we arrived on a very hot day, we discovered their air conditioning was out. One server told us it had been out for days. We ended up moving out to the patio since it was too hot inside. At least on the patio there was a breeze. The Burren should have warned customers about this situation before hand.
While it's a cool spot with a surprisingly yummy brunch accompanied by a great band, I'd suggest air conditioning in the summer. It was the hottest weekend in Massachusetts and there was no AC in the pub. It made it really difficult to enjoy our meal while we were sweating profusely. I couldn't wait to finish my meal so I could get out of there. You know it's bad when the outside is cooler than inside. I'd like to return, but probably not until the winter because the heat inside that place was unbearable and disgusting.
This place is so gross I literally saw a mouse run across the stage before the band went on.
I went for a concert in the back room. It's a very cozy atmosphere and is small enough that basically every seat has a great view of the stage. The food was delicious and they even had gluten free beer and burger buns which I certainly appreciate, being allergic. They also keep the bar and food service closed while music is playing so that it's very focused, and feels more like musical "dinner theater" than just a restaurant with a musician playing. Will definitely be going back!
Had a great meal while listening to great Irish music.
Went with the family for Mother's Day brunch - good, unfussy Irish food, pub atmosphere, great Bloody Mary. Friendly servers, reasonably prompt service. Music drifting in from the Back Room just made it more fun. Everyone in the place looked happy. Good times.
I should have known better than to go to brunch at an irish bar. . . that was my mistake. It smells overwhelmingly of cleaning fluid when you walk in. My kids thought it smelled like a bathroom. The food was ok, service was slow. We ordered a BLT to go for my dad but when we got home we saw that it was only bacon and bread. No lettuce and tomato. Go at night to hear live music and drink beer. . . don't go for a meal.
Food was bad. Omelette tasted of maple syrup. My friend returned 2 orders and ended up with no meal
Service was extremely slow - I had to go and find the servers who were chatting at the bar. Food was ok but in no way worth the cost. It was quiet (Easter Sunday) so perhaps unusual.
Great. We go there often. Great ambience, wonderful Irish food.
Terrific weekend brunch. Excellent service. Cool ambiance. Awesome tunes. In short: great neighborhood pub!
