   Food quality, service and venue was pretty good but food is overpriced in my opinion. I chose belly pork and scallops, at a price of £19, and the portion size of the belly pork was laughable and there were only 2 scallops (cut in half to make 4 pieces).

   It took a long time for our food to arrive because the pub were very busy and they had very few serving staff. The food was good and I enjoyed the meal.

   A misable greeting by a young lady, couldn’t crack a smile if she tried, we were put next the stairs people up and down to their rooms windy and draughty place. Weren’t impressed at all we won’t be back and will inform our friends in the Motorhome club not to bother.

   They didn’t receive our booking . & had no tables available in the restaurant. We had to use the bar area .

   Great food but utterly awful service had to ask twice for anything and waited ages for drinks, gravy, tea and coffee very poor when it wasn’t that busy and there seemed to be plenty of staff

   The lack of a smile and a cheery welcome should have made us think twice. Although the service proved to be efficient there were a number of things which left us disappointed: one of the waitresses dropped two knives on my fiancee' s leg; neither our waitress nor the lady in charge asked us whether we were enjoying our meal and then there was the food. A main course salad was ordered which was the smallest we have ever seen , whilst my belly pork had not been cooked through adequately, so that a wedge of undercooked fat was inedible. Leaving this on my plate didn't even prompt the waitress to ask me whether there was a problem with the food. We left feeling disappointed, angry that we had been treated not as customers who had been looked after,but as purely as sources of income. The evening was very poor, poorer than our recent evening at a chain restaurant. We will sadly not be returning!

   Excellent food and wine. Recently refurbished with a good ambiance. We visited mid week for a birthday meal around 6.30pm, got somewhat busy as the evening progressed.

    We drove from inner London on a recommendation for the Bulls Head and we were not disappointed! A lovely, friendly atmosphere and our last minute request was accommodated without fuss. The quality of the ingredients was really good and at a fair price
