The Bulls Head Alton is located within the beautiful village of Alton, 5 minutes from Alton Towers. Recently extensively refurbished, our bar keep much of its character whist adding a modern industrial twist. Our cosy restaurant offer a warm log burner and a relaxed atmosphere. Our kitchen offers stunning stone baked pizzas, steaks & vegan pub favourites all with a modern twist.

We have a function room if you would like a great environment for a wedding, party, business meeting. This can sit 50.

We also have a 9 seater executive mini bus, so if you have a party and don't want to flip a coin and get a designated driver, we can arrange to pick you up and drop you back in style. See the website for details and call us to discuss.

Please note for tables bookings of 10+ we require a £50 non refundable deposit in the event of a no show. This will be taken off you're bill.

Staying at Alton towers for the weekend, decided not to eat at hotel, looked for local restaurants and found the Bulls Head. What a find it was, great food, clean, service good, and a lovely open fire to keep us warm and a very wet day. The prices were average, good size portions. Can't wait to return

Wonderful gastropub! Food was delicious, ample and quickly served. We were in the upstairs room and still got great service. The kids enjoyed their food which is always good , and it wasn’t just the usual fare of chicken nuggets or pasta or sausages! Will definitely eat here next time we are at Alton Towers.

We visited this pub after recommendation from our holiday cottage hosts. We were not disappointed and went for our evening meal 3 times during the week. The food was consistently good and reasonably priced. We found the staff and other visitors to be helpful and friendly so the place had a good atmosphere. We will certainly return when we next visit the area. The establishment is also dog friendly and has a lot going for it.

Staff were good and made sure to check in with you to check your food and drinks. Food was good but the chef must've been a bit lazy in prep as the pizza had a whole tomato sliced on to it which when combined with a tad too much cheese (grease) made it rather messy! Unfortunately the dining room had a slight odour to it which wasn't too pleasant when first entering it.

We came after a visit to the Alton Towers spa And the food was absolutely gorgeous & very good value for portion sizes and quality. Staff were very friendly and attentive too. Will be returning again!

Great, accessible friendly pub with a lovely menu. Service was speedy and the food was far better than normal ‘pub grub’ would definitely recommend.
