The Bullfish Bar + Kitchen
We’ve been all over the world, and at The Bullfish Bar + Kitchen, we’re bringing a few flavors we picked up along the way back to our home of Louisiana. We’ve dubbed our style Caribiana -- a fusion of the Cajun, Caribbean, and French cuisines that we love. With unique, finely-crafted dishes like our Bull Shark Steak and Jamaican Jerk Burger, you’re sure to find a new favorite on our menu. We also have plenty of local craft beers on tap and a menu of handcrafted cocktails if you’re looking for a refreshing drink. Come on by for our weekly live music and trivia nights, grab a bite to eat, and we’ll make sure you have a great time.
We had a fairly good experience. My 2 issues were #1, we ordered the Mahi sandwich and were served the dinner. I informed the waitress. She offered a replacement but I hate to waste food so we kept it . Think an adjustment could have made to the bill. Also when she was serving another table she squeezed behind one of our chairs a few times. Should have taken another route.
Good dinner. Enjoyed the pork and scallops!
Interesting menu, with many good options. Shark bite appetizer, was good. The chef has worked hard on sauces, all are tasty. Rum drinks served in a pineapple are hilarious and refreshing.
Bull fish is truly a hidden gem. This is not a franchise. The owners are a married couple who are the chef and who manage it. It's rare to find the owners in a restaurant much less making sure you are taken care of and everything is just how you like it! This is not a sports bar but there are probably 12 tv's. This has been my secret spot to go to after an LSU football game. Its just 1/4-1/2 mile from Tiger stadium and we walk to avoid sitting in traffic after the game. The food is truly delicious. The bartender makes great cocktails! The best parmesan char grilled oysters! Better than Mike Andersons!!! The wait staff is awesome- friendly and personable. They are like a family. Everyone who works there wants your experience to be great !!! We came here after every home game last yr and this yr I called the owner in advance to let her know we were coming and to see if anyway she could accommodate something special off the menu for my son. She thought my number was on their caller id but it was not. She went to the hotel where we stayed last yr and begged for my number to be able to call me to let me know that she would be able to do my special request. .. going above and beyond !!! This is what i'm talking about. Bull fish is truly a gem !
We had tickets to a play at Reilly Theater at LSU and chose this restaurant based on its location convenient to the theater and reviews we read. It was our first time here and we were extremely happy with our choice. Two of us ordered the Amberjack special. It was cooked to perfection and served over a delicious coconut/pineapple rice and topped with fresh mango salsa. One in our party ordered the scallops and one ordered the blue cheese, bone in pork loin. Both reported that these dishes were excellent too! We received very good service from Tyler and had a nice table side visit with Carey, one of the owners. Overall a delightful evening with delicious food. There were many other tempting dishes on the menu and we hope to return soon to try some.
Great food & great atmosphere. We will certainly be back! Great location for LSU game days.
This used to be a different, awesome hangout place.. Now, it's even a better concept restaurant, with great delicacies.. service was attentive, by wait staff and owners alike! Must try...shark bites..! We hope the locals are able to appreciate this local joint!! We will be back for sure whenever we are in town. - Houstonian
Went on Wednesday night because of the live entertainment. Asked when we got there and waiter said entertainment was no longer available. Food was excellent.
