Been going to this restaurant for a number of years. This was for my birthday. Noticed this time the portions were smaller, the prices had increased significantly and the service was not as good as times before. I had the lunch set menu which was quite reasonable for the price except my breaded mushrooms much smaller potion but my husband had a main meal from the al a carte choice. Fillet steak Rossini was much smaller than used to be. Also the vegetables we paid for were less than before and the cauliflower cheese was not very tasty, hardly any cheese in it. The restaurant was so hot and stuffy because although very busy they didn’t switch the air con on. I felt quite unwell so we left as soon as we could which took a while because the waiters were not very attentive. Unfortunately we won’t be rushing back.

Our evening did indeed get off to a good start, greeted at the door and drinks in the bar served promptly, unfortunately it all petered off once in the restaurant. Once the main course had been served, every time we looked round for some staff there was nobody there! We didn't get any more drinks and had to go to the bar just to ask for more water. The waiting staff seemed to disappear! Was there a football match on somewhere we all wondered? The waiter assigned to our table appeared indifferent and lacked the usual charm expected from this establishment. On a previous visit, our waiter had been the exact opposite. Nobody came to ask if the food was all right or if everything was satisfactory. The food is a very solid, traditional menu, fine if ravenous but too much with no attempt to offer anything new or innovative. The 'monkfish' Provencal was soggy and had none of its usual distinctive texture. Query whether it actually was monkfish? Tiger prawn thermidor very underwhelming. Both dishes strangely heavy and oily and not enjoyable. The desert trolley was something not seen for many a year. A very dated selection and the portions were so big except for 1 tiny crème caramel. Some of the older clientele may still like the idea of "times gone by", "retro", " 1970's food and vibe" but this restaurant and its management really need to crank themselves into the 21st century. £20 vouchers slid on the table as we were leaving, with a barely audible " for your disappointment" did nothing to encourage our return.

This is our favourite restaurant! Bit of a trek for us but so worth it for the dishes on offer that are rarely seen on menus these days! Flambes at the table no longer a thing of the past! Food always excellent (and large portions!), staff are very friendly and attentive and the decor and ambiance are charming. We've eaten in the bar area and the restaurant and both are comfortable and welcoming - difficult to decide which is preferred! Do give it a try if you haven't already discovered this place - you won't be disappointed!

Excellent Italian cuisine served in a traditional setting. The set dinner menu is great value for money. Good to see a dessert trolley still in use!

I recently celebrated my birthday with friends at the Bull Inn Bisham and had a fantastic time. The food was outstanding, offering a wide selection that ensures everyone will find something they love. The steak options were particularly impressive, with everyone agreeing it was the best steak they've had in a long time. I especially loved the sweet trolley and the crepes. Lastly, the service was exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff.
