Best friends Sam & Ben acquired The Bull in October 2020 after hunting high and low for the last 12 months for the perfect venue. In The Bull they have found it! Having worked together in the hospitality industry for the last seven years it was time to do things their own way. Focusing on being a ’proper pub’ with excellent food and service coupled with a creative wine list and not forgetting the on-site microbrewery. The Bull has been bought back to life after a comprehensive refurbishment, and will be the centre of the local community as well as attracting diners from further afield to sample a carefully curated daily changing menu.

A beautiful large garden with numerous quiet dining spaces awaits diners lucky enough to visit when the sun shines.

    Fabulous fresh food with good size portions…quite pricey though so couldn’t be a regular.

    What a fantastic experience, the food was exceptional, the service outstanding and the ambiance just right. I could not fault it in any way

    Wife said it was best Sunday lunch she had had in a long time. She had the roast beef followed by the brownie and ice cream. My pork was disappointing it was over cooked and the crackling certainly did not crackle. Good selection of veg.

    Exceptional lunch with incredible hosts! What a wonderful surprise to find a truly beautiful pub with food planned each day based on exceptional produce. The meals are substantial so consider sharing a starter, and watch out for the largest sandwich I have ever seen! Fish was beautifully cooked as was the pork loin. We will definitely be returning !

    Dining at The Bull in Troston is always a fantastic experience. Good friendly service and absolutely superb food. The portions are generous and always flavoursome and well prepared. I would highly recommend it. An excellent wine list and good choice of cocktails too.
