Food was excellent and plentiful. I like my crab legs hot and although they were served cold, the waiter could heat them up for you.
Always wonderful service! Food is delicious, desserts could be a little better. Caters too Japan tourist. Not sweet like Americans like it.
Arnold and Sean, fabulous servers. Come back time and time and recommend anyone to be sat in their sections. Drinks always filled or brought from the bar quickly. Table maintains excellent. Very friendly!
Simon our waiter was outstanding and so personable. We appreciated your service. Food was great!
There were not enough choices and the quality of seafood was fair.
This was the 2nd time in a two-week vacation we chose to eat here. The food is fabulous plentiful and they have a wide variety of choices. Of course the best is the fresh seafood. The prime rib is perfect. The service at the tables taking away used dishes and bringing drinks is excellent. Loved every minute and every bite.
Glad we made reservations on Open Table. Walk ins had to wait over an hour. Food was so so tasty. No typical buffet "fillers" here. Came especially for the king crab... but blown away by the other dishes too. Pastas, high quality desserts, various local hummus, prime rib was soooo tasty and tender, somen bar, steamed fish, chunky seafood chowder and even their parm roasted potatoes will wow you!!!! And with their offering of king crab... best buffet in town!!! Can't wait to come back!
Great food and waiter he super nice and good service
Overall was a great experience, our server was so nice. The only thing we did not like was the crab tasted freezer burned, no sashimi & not as much sushi choice as we remembered from the last time we came.
Our server Shawn was awesome The Buffet is lucky to have him.
The service was great! Food was good but I wish there was more selections. Small area of where the food ia being served.
Awesome service from Pam. The food was amazing and well worth the Valentines Day Special plus Kamaaina Rate (:
Went here mainly for the crab legs which was good. The prime rib was overcooked & dry. Sushi selection was minimal. Overall, buffet was ok but probably would t go there again because of price.
The layout of the restaurant was not situated well. We were seated in a main pathway with no view. The main dining area had entertainment but the way diners were seated, did not take advantage
What a great place for dinner. We went for Valentine's day and the view was great. Service was the best thanks to our server Shawn.
King crab was served cold some was mushy tasted old. Most of the desserts were tasteless . Some of the food was tasteless not enough seasoning . Good thing the service was excellent! If the service was bad , it would have bin a very bad Valentines Day for my wife and I
Everything was wonderful, from the easy check in process (don't forget to use your five star reward program) to the delicious dinner.
We arrived a little earlier than our reservation and they were able to accommodate us and get us seated quickly. Our server was awesome and unfortunately I forgot to get his name but he was an older Chinese guy, super friendly and our table was always clean when we came back with more food.
The highlight of this place has to be the snow and king crabs. The scallops and oysters are good too but the hot food line was just okay. I'm pretty sure if you ate it when the restaurant first opens it'll be a lot better but it also gives me an excuse to come back here next time to try out the other dishes on their rotating menu on the weekdays.
A really good deal if you are a local and show them your drivers license or state id.
Very nice place.
Great food, reasonable price and excellent service!!!
Our waiter was very friendly and willing to help in every way.
Our food was very good (the most crab I’ve eaten in a long time). Our waitress was phenomenal ( I forgot her name but she walked with a slight limp). The kamaaina rate rocks too along with validated valet parking. Will definitely return
The food was beyond delicious and such a great variety. I already told people how good it was. They even gave my daughter and father in law birthday cakes separate from the buffet.
If you love fresh food and seafood then there is just one word for this buffet:FABULOUS!
It has everything from soup to nuts.
Including prime rib and chicken dishes too if you are not a seafood lover.
And the frozen mango daiquiri was terrific.
Nice views, pricing decent with kamaaina rates, superb service and a lot of delicious foods.
Pam our waitress even helped us crack our crab shells. Thank you for making my husband’s 60th birthday so special with your outstanding hospitality and delicious food.
The Burns family
Wonderful food and server.
I went to Hyatt buffet 1 year ago (March 2019) and I loved the food quality and experience then. When I returned in
January 2020, they changed many food items from their menu for the worst. For example, they took away the sushi chef and sushi section. The quality of their food got worse. Before, their food had a local flavor to it. Now the food tastes like chinese food. Not that anything is wrong with chinese food, it just wasn't what I was wanted to pay $60 for. I hope they bring back the original management and chef. I used to think this was the best buffet restaurant in Honolulu, now I'd rather go to 100 sails.
The king crab wasn’t the worst I had...tasteless and a lot of the other items were cold and dried out...won’t be back unless I hear the buffet has improved drastically.
Everything was great BUT the crab legs. They were still somewhat frozen and just hard/bad to eat. Other than that ALL other food was Devine. They could have a better desert bar though.
Awesome atmosphere, Wonderful selection of food, and great service from Staff. The price was affordable since we are in Waikiki Beach. Great view of the sunset
They provided excellent service highly reccomended. Good was always fresh and refilled right away when it went low. It was worth it.
Having made reservations, we arrived about 15 minutes before 530PM opening. While waiting in lobby, hostess Barbara came and welcomed us and asked if we had reservations. She said she would make note and come for us in 10 minutes. We were shown to our table and graciously shown the buffet spread. It was varied and attractively presented.
We were not disappointed in the flavor and tenderness of the entrees. We were attended by Simon, who surprised me with a small chocolate birthday cake, candle, and sliced strawberries.
the service was good but the food is not..its not worth the price.. needs improvement
I love this place. This is one of our favorite places. Our go to waitresses are Shirley and Pam! The manager rick was great. All of them give such amazing customer service.
The Buffet at the Hyatt is amazing. The food is incredible. There is even food station for kids, a popcorn bar and a soft serve ice cream station with a variety of flavors and toppings. And to top it all is the kamaaina discount!!! This is definitely a must go to place. We had the best server named Arnold. He is awesome!
The food wasn’t as good as it portrayed to be. Definitely not worth $65 a person.
This may sound weird but I really enjoyed the Hyatt Buffet but I'm allergic to seafood. There were choices that I enjoyed such as the huli huli chicken, kalua cabbage vegetable tempura and prime rib. My friend enjoyed the crab legs, which they will heat for you if you ask.
There were plenty of awesome seafood selections including crab legs, shrimp tempura, prawns, oysters, clams, calamari, poké and sushi.
I wish I saved room for more dessert. They have a soft serve ice cream machine that dispenses flavored ice cream but I could only manage one bowl. I also tried a strawberry rolled mini cake and a piece of carrot cake. Both desserts were nice and light.
I asked my friend if she would come back and she said yes. She asked me and I said yes but I would start with my head under the soft serve spout.
Food was displayed in small batches and employees filled constantly. This is so much better than the giant pans that don't look appealing after awhile. Staff was friendly and wait staff was attentive. Valet parking was free and there is a kama'aina discount.
I would definitely come back and bring friends.
Pam was right on with service and hospitality. Will ask for her serving area next round
Once again, Hyatt Buffet never fails to provide such great service!!
We RSVP for a party of 6 & got seated right away. Our server Terry was amazing! He served us right away with drinks and information on the buffet options. He also offered to bring to our table a plate of Snowcrabs & king crab all warmed up. He was quick and professional. He offered to take a photo for my family and he came back often enough to check on us, refilled our waters and cleaned up our table. He does such an amazing job and is absolutely friendly! Keep up the great work Terry!
The many variety of food options were great!
Prime Rib, Sea food, pasta, salads, kids buffet, poke, desserts and more! Definitely worth your money, time & service! They also provide Kamaaina for locals.
I still loooooooove the fresh oysters! The Prime Rib was also cooked perfect! If I could give this place more stars I would. I been back here 3 times and they have never failed to give us a great night.
Nice seat in terrace. Fresh seafood. Kind server. Great atmosphere.
