Everything was Perfect...love the food and service... very friendly staff..
Watery crab legs and shrimp, other food over cooked . If the food had been fresh, the buffet might be worth the price, it wasn’t. Also crowded
Pam was an amazing server. Very personal. And friendly. Always love coming here
Good variety. Desserts under par. Good service. 25%discount for kamaainas.
Pricey but excellent buffet, service was efficient. They were not busy the night we ate there so they did not enforce the 90 minute sitting, we spent over 2 hours there enjoying the food. The only criticism is that the King Crab legs were a bit salty.
We loved going to this buffet, at least once a month! That all changed this time!
Nigiri sushi is gone, fresh oysters gone, crispy shrimp gone, shrimp cocktail substituted for a larger one but lower quality, etc. Overall it seems like they're tweaking their food cost, because they did add on some different items.... Which is all just a part of doing business. I just think that they took away their 2nd highest tier of popular food and added on items of lower grade. The most popular draw is crab legs and prime rib, which also seems to have lost some quality. A few items tasted ok, but nothing worth the value.
Unfortunately, we won't be returning.
Shawn was our server and he was on top of it. Filled drinks, cleared the plants made sure we had clean utensils gave us new buckets for the crab shells! He was awesome! The food is top notch and what I’m even more impressed with is they kept everything stocked even though we’re one of the lay groups to eat. It was a full spread. Even the tempura was crunchy and fresh!
Out waiter was very friendly, the other staff was nice all except a man who was working the crab leg/ prime rib section. I am a mom and I had to get my children’s plates then after they were settled I went and got some crab legs for myself. I went to get a second plate for myself and the man who was giving out the crab made the comment “wow, this is your third trip!!” While laughing to another worker!!!! I said well my first couple trips were for my kids!
I returned to my table and began crying because I was fat shamed for getting more crab legs!!!! I’m only 145 lbs... but even if I was 500 lbs it is no one’s place to make a comment on how many trips I make at a buffet!!!
A nice and expensive family dinner was totally ruined by a very unnecessary comment by a worker!!
Used to be way better crab legs were empty and no sushi
The price is too much for the quality and quantity of the food. There is not much food choice, and it’s not tasty.
Pam and other staff are awesome!
Simon and Jimmy were extremely welcoming in making us feel our first night in Hawaii (First time ever as well!) was extremely welcoming. The Aloha spirit was amazing! They gave us tips for places that were less tourist-y and made sure we were well armed to tackle the buffet!
Coming from las vegas this i can truly say it was great
My kids are love to go here! Foods are excellent and service is always great! We usually spend family time here for special occasions!
We always have a wonderful experience at the Hyatt Buffet. The food is consistent, high quality, fresh and flavorful; however, it's the service that's exceptional. The team shows true aloha every visit.
I wish I could remember our waiters name, I've been to a lot of buffet and he gave the best service I have ever had. The crab was so good, that's what we got there for he even heated it up for us, we will differently go back just wish they had AC
This buffet is the best. We live right behind it and this was our 3rd visit. Weekends have a extended menu and that's when we go. The crab legs were very sweet, not salty like other places. The prime rib is the best I have ever had. Service is outstanding everytime. If you don't like this buffet you don't like ice cream. Oh, they have that too. Can't wait to return.
Awesome!! Worth the money!
Modern restaurant/buffet. The quiet and comfortable seats are on the terrace. We had a seat there. Perfect service, which explained us the specialities of the buffet. For the price we went in with high expectations. We were not disappointed. Very good food quality and excellent food selection. As a minimal point of criticism I would mention the led-light above our seat, which made a very cold and sterile light. Otherwise we have nothing to complain about.
Great experience. Many options in Buffett. Acknowledged our anniversary. Wonderful time
Food is so mouth watering. The crab legs are fresh and the roast beef is so soft. I also love the salad selection and variety. The coffee is the best after a feast.
my husband & I were visiting Honolulu and found your buffet restaurant on line. The whole night was perfect. We sat out side on the patio just before the sun went down. We had a nice view if the ocean. Our waiter was excellent we were celebrating our anniversary and he brought us out a nice happy anniversary dessert.
Service was very friendly. Food selection limited for overall price. Enjoyed the small special birthday treat with candle provided for my guest.
If you want a review, pay me because review includes improvements.
If you love seafood, the selection is out of this world. I wish they had cone sushi and make sushi for those who don't eat seafood. The prime rib was delicious.
The waitress was great but the manager was not helpful. There was no one to help buss the table. The waitress tried but she was busy taking orders. If the manager lifted a finger it would have helped.
Haven't eaten at a buffet in a very long time, it was a very pleasant experience and left very full and satisfied
Great service, quality of food was excellent for a buffet. Free 4 hour valet parking with validation.
We are from the Big Island spending 4days in Oahu for our older son’s Baseball Tournament. Besides the tournament, we were also excited for the variety of food selections in every corner of Waikiki. We were staying at the Hilton Garden Inn and we really wanted to spend one night on a very nice worthy meal. My other half was craving for king crab seafood type of buffet. We came across the Hyatt buffet and booked a reservation. It was a nice 5-6minute walk from our hotel. We came in a little early but we were seated right away. Everything looked delightful. The food set up, the variety of different food items, the location of our table were just all going our way. But one thing that made it exceptional and almost perfect was our server, SHAWN NAKAI. He’s one of a kind. We could tell how much he loves what he does.. he’s very personable and genuine. His personality shines through from the way he explains the buffet, to his “talk stories” moments, to accommodating other guests needs. Hyatt is very lucky to have some one like him in the industry. Our time at the restaurant would’ve been 100% perfect if we brought a bigger appetite (don’t get me wrong, I ate for about 3people :)) and spent more time with Shawn. Kudos to the buffet and 10thumbs up to Shawn for being AWESOME!!!
Crabs and shrimps seems to dominate the choices but unfortunately I'm allergic to them and don't like their taste anyways but my wife and son loves them. Not really much selections for a buffet but the food was tasty but overpriced which I believe is due to the shrimp and lobster.
We had a great time for our anniversary! Food was great & Pam our server was incredible. We felt truly pampered!
The Service was excellent! The variety of seafood was very good. However among the 6 food stations, the crab leg/Prime Rib and sushi stations were the highlight of it. The variety at the entrees, salad, sort of Italian stations were not spectacular for a Hyatt. The dessert bar was ok, the soft serve that day had to be attended to as it kept turning off. There were 20 of us. The traffic getting into Waikiki was horrendous since they closed off Kalākaua for a block party. So some of our party were late but the Shirley our server was quite understanding and didn’t push the 90 minute buffet time limit. We were celebrating birthdays, going away to college, and nuptials for a recent marriage. They brought cakes for the celebrations and sang for us. All in all, it was nice for our get together. We were treated very well but the buffet stations were not spectacular. If you focus on the crab and seafood station, you’ll get your monies worth.
