Always an excellent experience! We notice the same employees over the last few years which speaks volumes about management.
Food quality unappealing.
Had no flavor and hamburger was dry. Tables are right ontop of each other, no privacy and cannot have any type of conversation. As you could mit hear each other.
The prices were outrageous. $74 for a hamburger, a sandwich, 2 sodas and a egg cream.
Will not be returning EVER!
It was just average. Food was so so even with a limited menu. Service slow. Won’t go back
Love this place and will always come back. Food is delish, fast service, and overall super convenient especially for the theater district.
Great service and fun waiter! Really glad we visited!
As usual brunch / breakfast was terrific. Great
Food and service.
Not a lot of variety on the menu and the food was average. I ordered a bagel sandwich that was bland and not what I would expect from a NYC diner.
Bad waitress, had to remind and request for silverware, refills. The blueberry pancakes were good.
The food was a very poor standard. Far to much salt and basic errors made throughout the food. There was to much hummus for the pitta and carrots, the chicken burger was minced chicken with salt cooked on a flat top and so thin, disgusting. The pastrami on rye was disappointing as the meat was salty and the bread tasted old and hard despite being toasted. To share an appetizer, 2 entres and 1 beer the bill without a tip came to over £70.
It was terrible food, over priced for what we got but good service.
Took the family for our first meal in New York City and had a great experience. Our waiter was very nice and even brought us a couple of beers on the house that they had poured for someone else by mistake. Food was tasty and while the noise level was high, for a New York restaurant it didn’t disappoint.
Kinda Meh - not horrible, not great. A restaurant searching for identity. A true diner...relic of a previous era
very good ambience. not very expensive. good service
First time I have been there in a very long time and I found the service to be attentive and the food good. I had a chicken parm which was tasty and of good size. All the entrees at the table looked good.
Water was shut off towards the end of our meal. Couldn’t get water refills. Other than that it was good.
Service was not great monday night, everything else was great
Went here for the first time with a friend prior to our Broadway show. We were pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere and the service. We had special requests that were honored with no problem. The drinks were a bit on the pricier side, but equal to competing venues. I had a cheeseburger with no bun, and wished I had more fries, BUT that is always, so nothing to do with the venue itself. I would definitely return.
Was fine and had a great time before broadway show
Location was great and food was fine. Prices were ridiculous even for NYC! $18.95 for plain buttermilk pancakes!!!! Not worth the price.
Avocado toast was SUPERB. Prompt and Friendly service.
It was a place to eat that appears to have not made me sick. The table was spacious and clean. The waiter was professional and polite. The beer selection good. The food meh.
It is so convenient to the theater. The food is good and they are very accomodating to my special needs.
I know this is weird to start but I thought their cole slaw was fabulous. We stopped there pre-theater Tuesday and had diner staples -- burger, cobb salad with salmon, skirt steak and my crab cake sandwich
with the cole slaw. Benz our server was solicitous and professional - did all the special requests very well,
Food was good, but service could have been up a notch. We got our coffee and bloody Mary's about the same time our meal came. It didn't seem overly busy for a Sunday morning, no waiting line. Although we did reserve table to make sure we had no wait. Maybe they were short staffed.
The food was amazing my waiter was great I had a good time and I would surely recommend this place.
Our waitress was amazing the environment was very exciting and vibrant the food was exactly what we expected we would love to return again soon
Went there for the first time & was happily surprised. It’s close to the theaters, so it was convenient. We made a reservation & waited only 10 minutes. Staff was very friendly. The food was good, too. Nice atmosphere & not too noisy. Would recommend in a minute.
Went early for a pre-theatre meal. My daughter and I both had burgers, which were very good and cooked to our instructions. The accompanying fries weren’t freshly cooked however, they’d been sitting in a warmer for awhile, which was disappointing. The service was great- efficient and attentive. I’d go back- maybe at a busier time in search of freshly cooked fries.
This was a birthday brunch, with my family, prior to the Wicked show. Therefore, my expectations were high in terms of the diner. Alas, neither the smoked salmon omelette, nor the chicken burger, nor the bacon burger, were cooked to be satisfying. The omelette was watery, the chicken in the burger was not seasoned to to be complemented by the bun, and the bacon burger was dry. To my mind, no matter where the location is, food should be cooked, presented and served to correspond with the restaurant’s cuisine offering. So, I would not return to this diner and forget the experience.
P. S. Wicked was one of the best Broadway shows I’ve seen!!!
When we are in the city we look forward to eating here but this visit was disappointing. The waitress was rude. (Yes I know it’s NYC). The Brooklyn egg cream here cost twice as much as Junior’s, but tasted like seltzer with hint of skim milk and chocolate. And the top of their special chicken pot pie lifted right off to show a lack of filling, maybe it was the last one of the day and there was not enough. Not looking to go back anytime soon.
Great food but waited awhile for our meals.
Typical diner food which was very fresh and tasty. Our table enjoyed hamburgers, chicken burger, a steak sandwich and chicken parm. The chicken Parmesan was excellent. The service was excellent. As a local I would return. That says a lot.
Food was tasty but it took a while. Prices are a bit high.
We had a larger group of 10. Our waitress was great! Jenevieve (sp?) was comical and professional. She made sure we had what we needed and was quick to provide anything requested. Fun place to eat on Times Square
They were out of so many entrees offered on the menu it made it difficult to order. When the food came it was not good at all! We then ordered milkshakes but told that their blender was broke before Christmas. All in all it was a very disappointing experience. I wouldn’t go back or recommend it to others.
Good service and good food?
Their noodle kudel is simply amazing ! A must try.
Not worth it at all. Don't go. The phone is terrible and the price is not worth it all.
We go to the Brooklyn Diner every time we are in New York. It is a true New York experience not to be missed. The food is delicious and the staff very friendly. Chris the manager is a gem!
Great diner with a good atmosphere in the perfect location for a visit to the theatres.
