   Ad hoc In the area, googled for places to eat and found The Brook Bistro. Good choice as food excellent, taste and presentation all hit the mark. plenty of variety on the menu to cater for all. staff very polite and courteous. will go again.

   Visited on the 26th April 2025, used to enjoy this place but will not be returning after this visit. Mai tai cocktail claimed to have Aged rum, tasted like cheap bacardi mixed with acid. Rose wine - asked for zinfandel- received something that tasted like warm box wine. Starters were disappointing, frozen fried squid rings, duck pate with rock hard croustini, garlic bread was decent. Mains - pork belly was a weird pork roulade with the elastic string surrounding it, half a hard carrot, broccoli was nicely aldente and the best thing on the plate. Lamb rump was dry, what thought was jus was just a puddle of blood on the plate. Steak was small and dry with a couple of soggy chips and watery peppercorn sauce. The worst by far was the skate wing. No seasoning, tasted like it had been boiled. Not even a bit of lemon or butter. Pastey texture. All 4 at table tried it and all shocked at the standard. Sent back. Unable to eat full meals. Actually had to leave and get a Chinese takeaway as everyone was still hungry. Bill came to £155 despite the skate wing being removed from bill. Massive waste of money for an experience where the broccoli was the best part of the meal.

   Great venue with friendly staff and tasty food. Mercedes, our waitress, was very helpful and made for an enjoyable evening.

   Had a lovely evening for my dad’s 65th birthday. The staff were so friendly and attentive exceptional customer service! The food was delicious. Will definitely be coming again and highly recommend :)

   Rushed service, food obviously frozen , mashed potato awful!!! Not enough sauce , every customer had to ask for extra. Ok for a basic lunch. Won’t be returning

   Thank you for your recent visit. I’m sorry you were not satisfied with your experience. As a small independent business we value our guests and rely on positive reviews massively. Looks like today we missed the mark and for that we are very sorry. I did speak to your servers and they were not aware of any dissatisfaction. If we had realised there was any issue we would have happily resolved it in a more positive way for you and your guests. We do attempt to offer an efficient and professional service and most guest value this especially at lunch time when people are enjoying our £19.95 two course lunch. If we were to efficient and you felt rushed we do apologise. Wishing you a lovely weekend.

   As always, a very enjoyable visit to Brook Bistro. Food delicious and served promptly by friendly and polite staff. We all agreed (4 of us) that the waiting staff were attentive but discreet and very smartly dressed. I have been to the Bistro several times and have always enjoyed the excellent food and drinks with professional and friendly service.

    Delicious food (Sunday roast and halloumi burger for the adults, chicken goujons for the kids) and wonderful service, as always. Waiting staff were great with my children, and the Easter chocolates for them at the end of the meal was a nice touch. We’ll be back soon! (Only slight criticism was the white wine wasn’t chilled enough, but everything else was spot on!!)
