The Brixton on 2nd
Excellent service. Would definitely come again. Less than a block away.
We got the best seats in the house thanks to the hostess! Great times.
Skip it. Not a good sports bar (small jars of overpriced commonly available beer, screens that are way too small, terrible acoustics), and not a good restaurant (limited menu, abysmal food, poor service).
They're still working out the kinks but the food and beverage were good. Service was where the kinks were but it wasn't bad. It's a good pre and post game venue.
The Brixton is really nice! They remodeled the space beautifully. The food was pretty good, typical SF prices, but very small. I got a $29 steak and left so hungry. A coworker got the short rib grilled cheese or pulled pork grilled cheese and it was pretty filling. Another coworker got an ahí tuna salad and was also hungry after she left. Mostly lettuce with four pieces of tuna. My steak came with asparagus but it had no seasoning or flavor so I couldn’t even eat it. I mostly ate the fries that came with it and the steak that was smaller than the palm of my hand. Great atmosphere though! I’m sure it’s good for a happy hour with just drinks and lite bites
So happy a great restaurant moved into this space! Great burger, hearty salads and other yummy apps and options (try the queso and quac). I haven't tried anything from the bar yet but prices are appropriate for the area. Love the proximity to Oracle park. They have TVs playing the sports, but it's not an overwhelming element of the restaurant. Moderate noise even when busy. Looking forward to coming back!!
Great cocktail selection and good range of draft beers (but the measures are small, at least for the beer). We ordered a couple of starters and 4 main courses, all tasted good. The wait staff seemed to be confused about who was serving our table but it worked out okay for us. Nice ambiance, although I wouldn't want to be here on days when the Giants are playing. I will return!
Nice addition to the South Beach neighborhood. The new owners have done a very good job of designing a warm and inviting space. We experienced excellent service from our waiter. We were not there at a busy time, so can't comment on the service during peak periods. We had three dishes: the regular hamburger which was very good, a grilled cheese and rib meat sandwich which was outstanding and the steak which was just ok. The restaurant is not cheap, but then again, this is San Francisco!
Good before a giants game. Burgers are huge. Might want to share.
Only because it has a good location otherwise won’t got.
Great staff and food. Sure to be a hit
It's very loud, hard to have conversation without leaning across the table.
Seating in the main dining area is close and the noise level is very high but food and service are very good. Salads are fresh and the pasta dish was excellent. Wine list is notable though the prices for same wines are more expensive than at other local restaurants.
Great service, wonderful presentation and delicious cuisine!
Had a good time on Mother’s Day. Looking forward to trying it again on a game day and trying some of their other offerings on the menu.
The Brixton on Union is one of my staff's favorite places to visit, so we were excited when another Brixton opened. My staff and I visited for our annual Teacher Appreciation dinner and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious, drinks were well made and service was phenomenal. Can't wait for our next visit!
Service was dreadful. We were there for 80 minutes and only got our entrees in the last 12. Wouldn’t recommend for a lunch on a workday.
