The food and service were amazing! Our server suggested the smoked octopus and it was absolutely phenomenal! We all had the roast chicken with spaetzle. Probably the best roast chicken ever! Don’t forget to save room for the duck fat fries.
Unexpected find. We could not get a last minute reservation anywhere and The Bristol kept popping up on Open Table as a place we might like based on our searches. We booked it, walked in 15 minutes later and had a great meal and a fun and relaxing dining experience. We would definitely go back.
It was our first time to The Bristol. Our service was outstanding and the food delicious. Such a treasure so cose to home. We’ll be back!
Went to The Bristol for the first time with friends on a Friday night. Our server, Josh was awesome! He definitely knew the menu, was very thorough on how best to enjoy our meal. His suggestions were right on! We will definitely be back!
Super cute and cozy! From start to finish the service is impeccable, we love this place! Couple the service with amazing dishes incredible craft cocktails. We would come back anytime!
It was fine. The service was slow. We’ve been before.
Everything was great but in 2020 how are you a brunch spot that doesn't offer an Iced Coffee / Cold Brew option?
The food was okay/fair; the octopus was good, but very salty. The monkey bread was dense and not very flavorful and the cacio de Pepe was on the bland side as well. But, the service was pretty bad; it took a very long time for the waitress to stop by our table. Then, we ordered drinks and they took a long time; the waitress told us the bar was backed up, but in reality they were given to the table next door. It wasn’t a terrible dining experience, but it wasn’t good either.
Maybe. The restaurant is always noisy. The brunch was mediocre and Bristol should offer at least a few dinner options at brunch such as the monkey bread. The brunch options are few and there is no specific dishes that cater to vegetarians.
Great food and service. We enjoyed it very much.
Outstanding in every way
Josh was awesome!!
The food was delicious and the service was great!
Waiter didn’t really come back and check on us, took a long time to get first round of drinks and never were asked if we wanted another. Towards the end we were essentially pushed out the door so they could turn the table over even though we were not 100% ready and were interested in ordering around round of drinks. The check just showed up on the table without asking if we needed anything else. The food was decent, some meals we had were not to par for the price point. Also don’t understand why you had to put a credit card to hold the reservation and then they also called to confirm. Never had a restaurant have me place a credit card to hold our reservation.
Didn’t get seated until 55 minutes after our reservations. Not even a “hey, how about a cocktail while you wait.” Just a “thank you for your patience” as we got seated and a plate of overly salty fries. Should have read the reviews that this place typically overbooks reservations, and it’s the patrons that pays for this management issue. Food was less than impressive. I haven’t sent food back in years, and did this evening because the sodium content made it not edible. The only positive takeaway was that our server was good.
We had a reservation at 8. We waited an hour and were seated at 9. It took another 25 minutes to get any drinks. We didnt actually eat to long after 10. The waitress wasnt attentive. It looked like some of our appetizers were already eaten. Over rated and too expensive.
We have been coming to The Bristol for 10 years and we get the Raviolo every time. The cacio e pepe is also amazing. My wife had been craving a really well made burger and Tge Bristol delivered. The skirt steak was excellent as well. Our service was knowledge and attentive across the board (host, server, food runner, busser).
Great food, great cocktails! Service was good too. If you sit downstairs though, just be aware the tables are very tight. My fiancé and I went and we were basically sitting very close between two other couples. If you don’t feel like sharing your space this may not be the spot for you.
Great experience. Food was interesting and tasty. Basque Cake was absolutely incredible.
Love the Bristol, but seats are too close together and it is way too loud
We went there a week earlier. During our same exact meal in the previous week, our portions were bigger in size. Not sure what happened. Service lagged the night we were there the 2nd time, even though there were a few open tables on the top floor. Again, not sure the reason for this.
Ambiance really is great. Prices are actually reasonable.
I wouldn't get the monkey bread again - not worth it, neither the sauce nor the bread were that special. Chicken liver appetizer was great though, and so was the squash risotto. Very flavorful and fun, and this is coming from a girl who doesn't believe a meal is a meal without some meat.
We visited The Bristol for VD, and this review is based on our experience on this particular day. We made a reservation and got to the restaurant on time just to be informed that they were running approximately 20min late. We asked if we could get a drink and they just told us the bar was upstairs (the host was busy dealing with other couples in similar situations). We went upstairs and observed a very busy room, and even busier bar. Multiple couples waiting to order or to get their drinks. We then realized there was only one bartender dealing with orders from customers at the bar and from the tables. I asked about a drink and the bartender just passed me the drink menu. We understood and empathized with the situation, so just ordered a bourbon and a glass of rosé. It took approximately 25-30min to get the text from the host, indicating our table was ready. We went downstairs to meet her, just to be informed that our table was upstairs and that another host will show us the table after finishing with another customer. We went upstairs again, and waited for her for another 5min. After finally getting our table and the menus, we overheard the waitress informing another couple that the VD main dish was not available anymore. He then came to us and recommended an appetizer; we agreed to that, but he told us he would need to get our full order, so he gave us some time to decide. We waited for him (he was kind and polite, just very busy given the situation), and when we told him we wanted the appetizer he recommended, he informed us that they ran out of that too. We enjoyed our food, specially the “cacio e pepe” and the “basque cake”, but dishes were overpriced. The restaurant might be a good place to get drinks and good food on a regular weekend, but they definitely need significant improvements when planning special events like VD (number of reservations, food orders, staff). The way they handled the event definitely impacted our experience in a negative way.
Waited 35 minutes for drink. Kitchen ran out of vegetarian appetizer. Food was good. Drinks were good but small. Table beside us came in after and was served first. Understandable as they were busy but pretty mediocre experience for the price.
The food is so well thought out and you can tell it was made with joy. Always a great meal!!
It was great. Good food. Staff was nice. Fun drinks. Overall fantastic time.
The food was solid and service was initially very quick but no one came back to check with us for awhile after our food arrived and there was no salt/pepper on the table. Otherwise the place was great for brunch and everyone enjoyed the food.
I’ve been to The Bristol 3 times now and it’s just the best! Great service, awesome cocktails and amazing food.
They were very accommodating when our party showed up a bit late for our reservation due to traffic. The food was good - we all shared the monkey bread (decent, nothing outstanding. feels like it was missing some sort of flavor), the steak, the burger, and the sturgeon (all were really nice and we would get again). It was a bit too loud in the place for our taste, we could barely hear one another across the table.
Overall, good (not great), but would recommend to friends and would come back again.
Got to get the roast chicken. Amazing. There’s nothing bad on the menu.
Food was delicious and the portions were worth it! The burger and duck fat fries....WOW!
This is a fabulous place to dine! We loved it and highly recommend going to The Bristol!
The Bristol was yummy and the waitress, Rachel was phenomenal! I would recommend trying it and that cake was yummy!
Really wonderful service and great food. The staff is knowledgeable about the food and I didn’t feel intimated about asking questions.
The serving portions for the course during restaurant week were perfect and I actually felt very satisfied!
Amazing as always. Try the money bread, you won’t regret it.
Food was amazing, went there for restaurant week and the portions were so huge I took a lot home. It took a while to get each course which is why I only gave four stars. Wine by the glass was a little pricey but overall enjoyed the experience
I'm sure it costs more to have so many in attendance per guest, but the service was truly attentive and welcome. We never had to sit with dirty plates in front of us, and our next courses were timely, drinks were consistent and delicious. Crystal was our server, and she was fabulous. Food was absolutely terrific, as were the selections. We loved that each course offered 2 choices, and we tried each one, both great! The young lady at the hostess stand could use some insights in being helpful to someone walking in with a cane, and, though early for my reservation, she could have offered me a chair. Most people don't mind that staff are still setting up the dining room, and would rather sit than stand uncomfortably in a cold foyer. As our assigned table was on the wall, and a bench seat, I wasn't in anyone's way. Tables are a little bit close together, but we in the restaurant business do understand this. A great experience, and will recommend. You're all doing a great job!
