It was just okay. Not sure if I’ll go back. Poached egg on salad was over cooked and music was too loud.
The bar and wait staff were super friendly, patient with our lingering, and happily agreed to course out our dishes on a shared plate menu. I can’t stand when everything shows up at once and then gets cold. The monkey bread is usually a favorite but was a tad undercooked and difficult to pull apart. The dill butter was fantastic with it and different from whatever was served with it on my last visit a few years ago. The tomato salad was to die for. Risotto tasted pretty good but was somewhat soupy. The chicken dish wish used to be my favorite was dry and disappointing. It was relatively bland and could have been warmer. The celery might have been the best part of the dish. Spaetzel was mush from sitting in broth and had no flavor. Parsley on top was not cut at all and made for awkward bites or just generally avoiding it. Outside of he chicken an otherwise great experience.
My group of five basically had the upstairs to ourselves. They turned the music down so we could talk, everything we ordered came fast, and the food and cocktails were all delicious.
The basque cake was stellar- both of our meals were fantastic
We shared a few dishes and loved the salmon appetizer, the BEST trout, and the corn pasta. The monkey bread was just ok.
The staff was friendly and helpful.
Fantastic food. Pasta is both classic, yet adds a tinge of intrigue. Starters provide fresh and seasonal entries. We will be back!
One note: we had pretty slow service on a Saturday night. Our waiter was jovial, but lacked the promptness and attentiveness I had previously here.
A lot of my friends love the Bristol and I've generally thought my meals there were ok/adequate. This brunch was an exception though, it was delicious. I had the smoked salmon board and it hit the spot, everything was perfect and seemed very high quality. My picky mom also liked her meal. My only regret is that we didn't get the basque cake!
Server was sub-par
Service at the bar started well enough.
Drinks were tasty.
Steak tartare was just ok, a little dry and loose, steak was a little too chewy and not much richness.
Duck fat fries used to be delicious but lately they taste like they were freezer burned or something and the texture is just soft, but very crispy outside. The flavor is still nice but they used to be so much better.
Pasta: the corn risotto was lovely. The cacio e pepe was wonderful.
Main: the porchetta was alright. It was heavily spiced like an autumn dish, despite this being the end of summer. It was quite dry, and the gravy didn’t do much to help. Also the mixture of greens on top was a weird choice.
Desserts: the peanut butter cookies were dried out and uninteresting, and the caramel sauce that came with them was just one dull note. The basque cake was interesting and very flavorful. The French press coffee was full of grounds and tasted like an ashtray, and they basically just left it to sit and brew until I pressed down the plunger on my own minutes later. Their scotch listing featured multiple items that weren’t even available.
The service degraded over the course of the night, and we were convinced the staff had all decided to get really high since the place was dead anyway. They all seemed happy enough but totally in their own world and uninterested in checking on us or even offering us the check for the better part of a half hour of us sitting and not touching any of the gross coffee or weak desserts. We eventually had to stack up our plates and then wait a solid 10 minutes before someone asked how we were... as if that wasn’t enough of a signal. Also they didn’t inquire about our enjoyment of anything after the main. Which is why I’m writing it all here instead of telling them; I wasn’t asked.
This place has seriously gone downhill from what used to be a very special experience.

Great neighborhood restaurant. Good service and really tasty food
Overall good but too many tables, way too noisy and the portion size was a little small. That would have been ok if you had a bigger desert menu.
Delicious pre-fixe dinner with wine. The meal was tasty and interesting, and the service was attentive. It was a great experience!
I love the Bristol! They had a rough day today with service. But it’s still the best and must go!
I will definitely return
Fabulous food!! Loved the informal atmosphere. But be prepared to have your dessert elsewhere. They do not have an inspiring desserts section.
Food was great but the best part of our mail was our server Emily who took excellent care of us!
Had an amazing experience! Chef Adam really prepared an incredible custom dish for our table. Will definitely be back!
Delicious, interesting food and wonderful service. Try the corn risotto!
Food is great, service is great, portions are perfect! I especially loved the level of attention to the guests, we were greeted at the door and greeted good bye and thanked at the door on our way out. one of the few establishments in the area that have withstood the times and competition. keep up the good work!
Very average. Food was 4/5, but nothing else made the experience stand out.
Decent brunch food and cocktails, service was good. Not a place I’m going to rush back to, but a good, solid choice.
The food was really lovely and the service was excellent. We came quite late (9.30) as we had been travelling and the restaurant wasn’t very full. This impacted on the ambience.
Old restaurant with an updated menu and chef! Better than its been for a long time.
We love this place but sadly our service at the bar was severely lacking.
A bit over smoked and noisy but reliably good. We were told the portions were meant for “sharing” but the steak entree was too small to share.
The food was amazing the service was top notch everyone was so friendly and helpful I would definitely recommend to all my friends and family
Love this place. The food is amazing (the duck fat fries are to die for) and the service was great. We sat at the front table with the windows open on a beautiful evening. We could not have asked for a better dinner
An off night. Normally we love the food here, but the food was over-seasoned and over-sauced tonight. Wine, drinks and service were very good as always.
Food was average. Service was slow. Problems with order.
High noise level makes conversation difficult
I've always had good dinners here, but I would never go back again for brunch after today's experience. My eggs were overcooked, the bacon undercooked, and the so called toasted English muffin couldn't have been toasted for more than 30 seconds. My friend's biscuits and gravy with sunnyside eggs was also a huge disappointment. The eggs were also overcooked and there was hardly any gravy on the biscuits.
Overall huge disappointment for brunch.
Great spot and great food. Really cramped space with big heavy chairs. And it got SO hot in their. The food itself was great but open windows and fans on low made the experience not ideal
Services was really slow during brunch
Everything was fine until a patron eating alone came in and sat two tables away from us started talking on her cell phone while eating. Kind of rude and inconsiderate, however, fortunately, we were almost done. Passed on dessert, paid the bill and we missed more of that action.
Good food, cute design. We went when it was quite busy and it was really hard to hear each other over our 3’0” table. Once the restaurant cleared out a bit the noise level was fine but when packed it was really uncomfortable.
Thoroughly enjoyed the "radish menu" and wine pairings. Generous portions. Warm service. Loved sitting by the open front as it was a lovely evening.
Great brunch.. I tried the breakfast sandwich and loved it.
Staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly. Food tasty and interesting. Would recommend this to others.
