Honestly one of the best nights of dining my fiancée and I have had in a very very long time. All of the food was absolutely delicious and the service was top notch. Nathan on the wine team went above and beyond to make our night special. Already planning our next visit. Cannot recommend more!

I am gluten-free and I don't eat red meat, so my review of this restaurant is heavily colored by my personal dining experience. I went with a group of 4 - the other 3 diners were interested in ordering the prix fixe menu. The entree offered with the prix fixe menu is the lamb (I don't eat read meat) so I was not interested. Unfortunately, the restaurant requires the entire table to order the prix fixe or doesn't allow anyone to order it. I tried to reach a compromise - the restaurant will sub the tempura soft shell crab for the lamb but that's not gluten free; they won't sub any of their other entrees (even the ones that are cheaper than the lamb) for the lamb or tempura crab, even for an up-charge; and they wouldn't allow me to just order multiple courses so that the pacing of everyone's meal could be maintained. I understand why restaurants do this but I was disappointed that a restaurant at this price point couldn't be just a little more flexible with us. We eventually all chose to order a la carte and the timing of our meal was off - my partner and I received our appetizer and our two entrees at the same time our dining partners received their appetizers. We waited until they received their entrees to eat ours, so I'm sure it wasn't as delicious as it would have been had we eaten it fresh out of the kitchen. The food was very tasty and we enjoyed everything that we ate but all in all, I would say that the price of our dining experience did not match up with either the food or the service. I would like to note that our server was incredibly knowledgable and kind and seemed to do the best he could to accommodate us - my issues with the service were more of an issue with restaurant policy and restaurant expediting than any issue with my server. I would probably recommend this restaurant to a friend who has no dietary restrictions or preferences as a special occasion meal.

We had a delicious meal—four adults ordering from the a la carte menu and two kids who ordered from the kids’ menu. We had the octopus, soup and asparagus salad as starters; risotto and another pasta and two orders of crab + two orders of halibut. It was plenty of food and generally well seasoned, although the risotto seemed overly salty for some. However, the service was really poor for the hefty overall price of $500. Strange multiple questions about order of plates to come out; forgetful of drinks, which were tiny cocktails; not enough silverware for all. Maybe we just aren’t used to fine dining again as we ease back into things, but the price + mediocre service made me think cooking at home isn’t so bad.

The kitchen ran remarkably behind, and we saw very little of our server. The main course (on a menu where the waiter indicated the menu was designed to be 3 course and asked for the order to be entered in its entirety up front to help with pacing) took over 90 minutes to be served.

The prices are shockingly inflated, portion sizes are on the smaller size of reasonable (particularly for main courses), and overall the quality and composition of the dishes was lacking.

I had the lamb entree, which was mediocre, the gamiest lamb I have ever had, and the sides were just unpleasant. A friend had the octopus, which was oddly flavored and somewhat off-putting texturally.

Ultimately, with 16-dollar cocktails included, a celebratory $250 meal for 3 was nowhere near worth the price.

Very disappointing. I’d blame the server if she wasn’t working 14 tables, but the little time we got with the server wasn’t that helpful either. Got a butter knife for the lamb. Hosts were charming and I hate to bash when the server was running the whole floor. Just disappointed. Also risotto wasn’t cooked.

Not sure what the new concept is hoping to achieve, but whatever they’re trying to do, it wasn’t working for our group. The decor says warm and homey, the food says, you’ll need a second meal at home. Not joking, we all went home and ate. We’ve been Bristol patrons since the beginning and we won’t be back until the old menu returns. Chicken, duck fat fries, apple salad...you are missed: (

The food tasted good, the service was very good, but the portion sizes were extremely small and I was left a little hungry even after eating every bite (I also ate some of my girlfriend's food) of 5 whole courses. I don't know, maybe I'm just an uncultured loser from the midwest who is used to larger portion sizes.

After seeing how small the first 2 courses were, I jokingly said that "watch the pasta dish will have only 2 noodles"...The pasta dish literally had 2 noodles in it.

We had an 8:30pm reservation
I asked if we could come in earlier and they said yes and could seat us at 8pm
We showed at 8pm and then they made us wait until 8:30pm
Total pain, especially since I was taking someone for their birthday and we had to wait in a cold area standing up in the doorway. They did not even offer us a hot drink for our wait. Then they finally seat us and put us at a crappy table in a high volume pass through area when a ton of other tables were open, even observing social distancing there was still other nicer places to seat us.
Then we got pasta dishes which were thought out nicely but executed poorly as pasta was either under or over cooked. The pasta dishes were also on the pricey side too. For that cost it should be executed much better.
We will stay away from this place in the future

This was a wonderful experience. It was our second time there, this time we did the price fixe menu with the wine pairings, and the food was delicious and the wine was great (and paired very well). The staff was very attentive and enthusiastic, and the restaurant has a very nice ambiance to it. We’ll definitely be back, would recommend it to family and friends as well.

Thank you for such a great dining experience. The Bristol has been on my list of restaurants to check out for quite awhile as I have heard good things for years, it did not disappoint. This was our first date night out to a restaurant since this summer and we were so pleased with everything! Covid related safety precautions were very well done and the food was delicious. Our favorite dish of the night being the lobster bisque. Above all, we were especially pleased with the service. Our server was warm and friendly and the sommelier was incredibly knowledgable and approachable about answering all of our questions. We also really enjoyed the pairings. All food and beverages came out in a timely manner and the pairings always arrived before the food (as hospitality vet, this is one of those little details that I cant help but appreciate). We will be back! Thank you again!!

I’ve loved and supported this restaurant for years – and especially during the pandemic. Yesterday, the service was strangely more strained and less friendly.

And they used to have real menus upon request, instead of the truly user-unfriendly QR code option. But as of yesterday, they tell me, those are no longer available.

I’ll probably give them another chance but yesterday really changed our opinion of The Bristol.

We went to celebrate a birthday. First, even though I told them in advance, the girl at the door asked us again as they didn’t have that information in the system. Then, they did absolutely nothing to acknowledge the birthday the entire meal except that the girl at the door wished the birthday boy on the way out the door.
Second, we confirmed an indoor table the day of the reservation but they had us listed as sitting in the patio in their system. (Thankfully we were able to sit inside)
Third, out waitress barely came by after taking our order. I wanted to add an item in the middle of the meal and it took us several minutes to catch someone’s attention.
Finally, we ordered the prefixe menu and it was okay at best. Certainly not as good as we were expecting considering the reviews we had seen.
Also, the music was somewhat eclectic and much too loud for comfort.
Overall a very disappointing experience.

Wow, somebody knows how to cook. Amazing, thoughtful plates along with both indoor and outdoor seating options. We loved the fresh made butternut squash Agnolotti (ravioli) and the Earl Grey Panna Cotta (custard).

Service was good, food was great.
We were sat outside in a tent with a heater (plenty warm no complaints) and right behind us was one of their small igloos that you could book. The people in that igloo also had control of the aux and sang Taylor Swift/ Gaga...loudly...too loud. It’s still a restaurant even if you book an igloo.
