Great place. We’ll be back
Service there is generally outstanding. This visit proved otherwise, however. Our waitress just seemed miserable to be there and was generally unpleasant and somewhat abrupt. Sam, the bartender, and the owners are always consistently gracious, helpful, and kind. And in that respect, the service was its regular par excellence. It was just unfortunate that the waitress who had our table tarnished what would have otherwise been a wonderful evening out with my wife. If at all possible, see if Sam can take care of you when you visit!
My wife and I had dinner here on Valentine's Day '20. The food was excellent and we enjoyed the ambiance. We'll definitely be back to try a few more menu items.
Great place for a date or meal with friends. Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere.
Short version: This place is fantastic! Can’t miss this place! Food is incredible! Owner met us personally and catered to my girlfriend’s vegan diet. Nicest, most thoughtful owner I have ever met! Waiter/bartender could have been more upbeat and looked like he just rolled out of bed but we warmed up to him and he even stopped my gf from eating something that had sour cream in it. So, he’s a pretty alright guy in a fantastic restaurant! Will be back! For sure!
Grand Mediterranean menu with an array of dishes nowhere else in town! Staff is great at knowing their customers and services if impeccable!
The bartender talked to us the most. She was fully educated on the menu & gave us a few Turkish lessons, too. It was a lovely evening. The Alana kebop was tremendous. My only less than glowing remark is about the charred pepper that was brought about mid meal. No explanation for it. Not sure what it was supposed to be for?!?!? But, that’s really the only slightly negative comment. otherwise, the BOMB!
What a wonderful first experience we had! The food was amazing and the service was first-rate. I wish we had gotten our servers name so we could thank her personally. We will definitely be back!
Excellent meal, will go back very soon. Service needed work, but overall experience was very good!
Menu is filled with a variety of traditional Turkish dishes. The appetizers are special and everything is made in house! For those looking for something else, the salads and pizzas are quite special! Don't miss dessert--it is extraordinary!
We had a wonderful dinner! The chef was great to create a vegan dish for us as well! We will definitely be going back!
We found this place looking for good Greek/Mediterranean cuisine and it did not disappoint. Sam mixes a near perfect Old Fashioned. No new-fangled gimmicks, just a great drink made with care. He recommended an outstanding entree, dessert, & cocktail for my wife. If I could rate our experience here with 6 stars I would. We will definitely be back and visit and ask for Sam!
Wonderful fresh food! Unlike anything in Lexington. McKenna was efficient, fun and knowledgeable about the food. Chef was able to accommodate gluten and allergy issues without hesitation. Nice little gem to have in the bluegrass. Enjoy!
Our second visit, and food is still very good, with friendly service. I will go back for sure.
We accidentally visited the Bridge for the first time on Turkish independence day, so the scene was kind of like a party. We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Turkish cuisine and the warmth of the service. The soup and salad specials for the holiday were particularly good; the chicken kabobs were juicy and delicious. We are looking forward to returning--on a more ordinary day.
Traveling thru Lexington and found the Bridge. It was a quiet night but we were warmly welcomed. Tried the 5 way starter and it was terrific with baked pita chips and fresh pita. We shared a Greek salad and the chicken kepap. Both were terrific, the chicken was grilled with a little char, very tasty. Would certainly recommend and anxious to try again!
Very friendly atmosphere. Food was amazing! Can't wait to go back and try other dishes.
If you just want pizza or to try something different I highly recommend giving the Bridge a try . Good for all ages
Love the lunch salad but have also stopped in for brunch which was great ! Interesting Turkish options as well as regular brunch choices.. I had a delicious crab cake which they also have on their lunch menu. Prices are reasonable and service is great
Delicious food, great service! I highly recommend the appetizers. We will be back!
Food was fresh and authentic. Shared the Fab Five and Kebap for two. The sauces/dips were bright and fresh, with interesting flavors and zest. And the Kebaps were some of the best we've ever had. So easily overcooked, these were grilled, but all types remained moist and tender.
But, the lavash is why we came, and we weren't disappointed. Light and thin, this fresh bread is the perfect match for everything offered. A rare and different find for Lexington. We'll return, and bring friends with us! Thanks again!
My husband and I had an excellent dinner at The Bridge Eatery. The food was well-prepared, full of seasoning and taste yet still light and healthy. We shared the babaganus and mixed kebap. The service was very good - attentive, but did not make us feel rushed. We were able to linger over dinner and eat at our own pace. The restaurant was lively, but not too noisy. We were able to carry on a conversation and enjoy the background music. The menu prices were quite reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. Overall, it was a very lovely evening!
We reserved on open table, however the bridge doesn’t look at their open table reservations. We sat at the bar and waited, and the bartender/manager didn’t say a word to us for 10 minutes. After 30(!) minutes of waiting, we were finally seated, where the overworked waitress tried to tend to several different tables. The food was good though, however the service was horrible. Can’t recommend this place to anyone.
Good food. GREAT for catering too.
The dining room atmosphere could use some music or some softer acoustics - lots of hard surfaces currently in the room make for awkward ease dropping. But still not a deal breaker. Our waiter was very nice.
it was one of the best restaurant I've ever been in 4-5 years. If living in Lexington KY, this is must-go restaurant. Try "Fab Five" for appetizer and "Mixed Kebap" as entree. And don't forget "Kunefe" for dessert. I'm sure coming back there soon.
Great authentic Turkish food! Will be visiting this place again!
Our first time here, but certainly not the last. Excellent food, friendly service, and nice value. Diverse menu, and sampled from each area, and all were very good. Mediterranean, pasta and pizza, and more. I will be going back soon.
Everything about the Bridge was perfect: our server, Mckenna, the wine, our entrees, and dessert. McKenna was a delight and should mentor other servers. Our table had the Fab Five, Adana platter, spaghetti marinara, lentil soup, saksuka, baklava, and Meimoi Pinot noir wine. A perfect meal and a perfect evening!
Visited this restaurant for the first time for a birthday celebration and loved it! The atmosphere was casual but sophisticated, and the cocktails were very moderately priced. We ordered the fab five for an appetizer - very good recommendation. The mushroom soup was fantastic, and all of the dishes from the salmon to the chicken kabobs was very good. We will go back and order more small plates to share about the table. The staff was excellent, attentive and made sure our dining experience was good.
SULTAN’S KEBAP was awesome! Great place to celebrate Mothers Day, or any day.
Unique menu! The quiche was the fluffiest I’ve ever had and the service was outstanding. This place is a hidden gem in Lexington
First time visit, we enjoyed very much and will return again.
The servers were attentive and the food was EXCELLENT. The time it took our food to reach us was somewhat slow, especially considering it wasn't that busy but the final product was very very good. If you're not in any sort of rush it's worth the wait.
I’ve been at least four times.
All my experiences at The Bridge:
Consistently delicious food. Red lentil soup is excellent. Warm, interesting, artistic surroundings. Pleasant, polite, competent waiters. Fair price. If you like Mediterranean food, go once —- and you’ll go again!
Fantastic food And great service.
I've been here twice, and both times the meals, service, and ambiance were excellent. I highly recommend it.
Food was wonderful and freshly prepared; staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Will definitely return
The staff and Owners make you feel right at home. The food was delicious!
The service was somewhat slow but the food was worth the wait.
