The Bricklayers Arms
We pride ourselves on getting involved with the local community and providing a warm and friendly welcome to our visitors. We serve Harvey's Best Bitter straight from the barrel, a fantastic range of wine and beautifully home cooked British pub food. Located opposite the Chipstead Sailing Lake, we are perfectly positioned for a warm bowl of soup after a walk, a summer cider on the green, or a comforting meal in front of our real, open log fire.

The food was outstanding the server/barman was very attentive friendly and nothing was too much trouble will definitely be coming back
As always great pub. Such a shame they are having to close due to second lockdown when they have worked so hard to put safety of customers and staff as top priority during these awful times.
Keep safe everyone.
We had a very good lunch for my daughter’s birthday. We had a warm welcome and the general atmosphere was excellent. The staff were friendly, helpful and the service first class. The food was cooked to perfection. Looking forward to our next visit, when we’re allowed!
Always a tasty and enjoyable experience at the Bricklayers.
Very nice meal. Good range of choices and options. Lovely seat by the window.
Lovely stop for a pub lunch - with the beautiful lake opposite. We enjoyed our drinks and lunch and service was very good. Would recommend.
Nice mixed menu for a Sunday, not just roasts, . Good table spacing, and Covid friendly .
Happy staff.
Good wholesome pub food with great friendly service
In view of the restrictions, the experience was really good.Good to see a full menu back, just feel sorry that they have to shut their premises again
Cosy with great food and drink. Staff were attentive and super friendly
Always a warm friendly welcome, superb team led by Andy, excellent service, delicious food. We are fortunate it is our local.
Had a socially distanced birthday meal yesterday- what a treat to feel normal & have a delicious lunch in the new ‘outside’ space. Perfectly comfortable- we didn’t even need the heaters on. As usual the food, service & atmosphere were great- congratulations Andy & team on keeping things going smoothly through these challenging times!!
The location of the table was spacious and away from other diners. The food was very good as usual and service friendly and quick.
Had a great lunch, good choice of food plenty to select from, service was very good all friendly staff and lovely pint of Harvey's, we will definitely come back
Good place to have lunch. If I were in the area again I would be happy to go back.
Really lovely and quiet and very friendly staff. The food was delicious after a long walk!
Lovely food & felt very comfortable with measures taken by staff
A lovely welcoming evening with friends. Hope to return soon.
Very nice meal. Always constant in standard which is important that you can rely on good food and service every time you visit .
We were made to feel welcome & safe during these difficult times. The owner had gone the extra mile to met government guidelines. The service & food was excellent. We shall come again.
Really missed not having roast beef on the menu, had been looking forward to it, although the roast pork was tasty.
Pleasant pub with good servers and good quality food.
Great Place and good food and value for money. Service is very good and friendly
This is a "proper" pub. No pretensions in the decor, furnishings etc or food. Just generous, hot, well cooked lunches, served in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Don't expect haute cuisine or 20 different types of craft anything, but they have a good range of well-kept beers. Not too keen on the marquee-type covering to the front, but that's a response to Covid, so I guess it will come down when we get through the crisis.
Great as always
We love going to the Bricklayers Arms.
Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, excellent food & excellent service.
Varied & interesting menu.
We always look forward to our next visit
It was very good. Not so keen on my choice this time but not the fault of the pub. I should have chosen something different. We always enjoy our time there though.
Another wonderful meal with great food and service. Covid arrangements are brilliant and we felt safe at all times.
Always the best, friendly every time. Makes the other pub in Chipstead look amateur
An excellent meal, very friendly and helpful staff and good value. All in all a very enjoyable experience
A lovely meal, value for money and good service. Will be going again
As always very nice. Food good and service good. very friendly and pleasant Staff.
I have eaten here several times and always enjoy browsing the changing choices on the daily menu. The staff are friendly and attentive, the food tasty - vegetables, in particular, are well cooked. Covid precautions are in place and easy to follow.
Best mussels I have tasted this side of the Channel. The night we went was a mussel themed night with mussels cooked in a variety of six ways. We chose the classic Moules Mariniere which came with fries and freshly baked bread, washed down with a reasonably priced bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and followed by a sharing cheeseboard.
All for under £60. What's not to like?
Very good. Making a real effort under difficult circumstances.
The Bricklayers always great! But we did make a request for bday candle on the dessert which I spoke with Jess and she will organise but when we ordered dessert there is no candle, a bit dissapointed really... especially when you let them know in advance.
As good as always with the added advantage of being very very organised with regards the current virus situation. By far the safest pub I have been to in recent months. Hats off the staff. Thanks
Great place for weekday lunch. Pub at heart of community, would thoroughly recommend
A relaxed evening with staff and customers following the rule. Friendly service and delicious food. Highly recommend
Very enjoyable lunch in comfortable surroundings. The food was very good
