The Brewer's Table
We also feature guest taps starring a few friends and favorites, a thoughtfully selected wine list and a full bar punctuated by craft cocktails inspired by the kitchen and brewing process.
We invite you to come by and stay awhile.
Grab a seat at the bar, enjoy a meal in the dining room, join a group for a special experience at The Brewer’s Table on the mezzanine level or throw back some beers on the patio. No matter your agenda, we’ve got a space, a brew and a bite (or more) to suit you.
2018 Restaurant of the Year, Austin Monthly
I don't get here very often since we live a distance, but every time is a delight. The menu evolves and the food offerings are works of art for your taste buds. Service is top notch. Very attentive and friendly but not intrusive, a hard balance to get these days. Always checked in on by a manager or the owner to see if everything is going well. The value is there for the price as well. Just need to live closer!!!!!
East Austin resident. Foodie. I've had fantastic meals at Brewer's Table before, but last night the food was bland, salty, and boring — but STILL tremendously expensive. And they no longer offer the larger sharing dishes. Given all the amazing options in the area, I'm not sure BT is worth the $
This place used to be absolutely fantastic but nothing that we ordered was excellent, and they no longer offer the family style dining experience anymore, which was awesome. It just no longer holds up for the price point of the dishes. $18 for 3-4 pork ribs that were tough and impossible to get off the bone, a couple people got the $17 burger and those were over-cooked as well. Very disappointed. Not sure why they pivoted away from what made them so popular initially, but we def won’t be back. The service was excellent though, no complaints about that.
Place was fun. Food was OK.
I'd come here again for the beer and ambiance, but the entrees were not worth the value.
Patrick was wonderful. The food was great. Should have asked for a tour!
We went there for our 10 year anniversary as most places were booked. However, we’ve never been to BT so we decided to give it a try. Nice ambiance and decor. They have a good drink menu. Not impressed by the food. Our ribs were cold! Mentioned to waitress and nothing was done. The sweet potato dip was tasty, but it came with 4-5 small chips. Asked for more and they brought 3 tiny crostini and charged us $3 - honestly, don’t think we’ll be back.
We were so psyched to go to this restaurant after reading so many raving reviews. Needless to say we were pretty disappointed with the lackluster food. It almost seems like it’s trying to be a fancy hipster restaurant, but their chef is not on board. The burger dish was so oversmoked it was pretty much inedible. On the upside the service was wonderful.
I think we may have ordered things that weren't their knockout dishes but I did not love the food we ordered. I found the ribs to be flavorful but not memorable, but the beef tartare was awesome, though not given enough chips and broccoli to scoop it all up. The gochujang wings were good, but not great. I did not drink that night but my friend who was drinking thought the beer choice was outstanding. Our server was also really friendly and helpful and while I thought the food was adequate the overall experience was very enjoyable and will go back again to give it another shot.
The service was great but the food was bland overall. Tried several dishes and almost everything was under-seasoned.
Went for the restaurant week menus and enjoyed everything. The scallops were beautifully presented. Great BBQ wings.
Food was excellent. We tried many of the items on the menu. We loved everything but the wings. Wait service seemed to be a bit stretched. We had to ask several times for clean silverware and water refills. They were very accommodating when asked but we shouldn't have to keep asking.
Great service - bar seating let us see the dishes and know what to order..
Disappointed - the beer was excellent but food was mediocre and service lacking. For all of the hype and great reviews with this restaurant- we were looking forward to it where is was not a good experience.
Went for restaurant week. Great variety of food for the prix fixe menu that was all delicious. Great selection of house made beers as well as guest taps. Will definitely come again
Slow service, but the food was worth the wait.
We went during Austin Restaurant Week and did the 3-course prix fixe menu for $50 per person. It took nearly an hour to get our first course. Our reservation was for 7:30 pm, but we did not leave until 9:45 pm because it took so long to get our food. The place seemed a bit unorganized and the food itself simply was not worth the wait. The staff were friendly, but I constantly had to flag down a server to get more water while waiting forever. Would not recommend.
Restaurant was super cute but the food was just okay. It wasn’t anything special.
My husband and I tried BT because I’ve seen it on a couple “beat restaurants in Austin” lists for 2019. The building/environment is nice, the service was pretty good, and the beer selection is fun (if you like beer, which my husband does!!). We had the bread (waaaay over priced for bread but delicious), the sweet potato dip (delicious and a “must order”), the ribs (just ok), and the roasted chicken (cooked perfectly but it’s just roasted chicken). I had the mezcal drink (not to my liking) and the Paloma (great). My husband tried about 6 different beers and liked most of them (except the beet beer which he was was the worst beer he’s ever had, but he also doesn’t like beets). Overall, it was a pretty good visit but I don’t think we’ll go back unless we are already in east Austin; it’s pretty far east for us.
My husband and I took our friend here for his birthday, and we had a lovely time! I really enjoyed tasting all nine beers, and the food was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the scallop entree. The charcuterie plate was excellent as well.
Great food and great beer. Nice staff and beautiful layout. Really enjoyed the wings, oysters and roasted chicken.
Amazing food and selection. Service was excellent. Drinks are amazing. Great location.
Awesome! Highly recommend
Great food, great booth, easy to hear everyone. Waiter was super accommodating to let me try a few beers before I decided on one.:-)
Great concept. Great food. Great drinks. Josh was an excellent server. I do wish there were one or two vegetable dishes besides the sweet potato dip. And the ice cream cone is laughable. Should be advertised as a mini cone as it's the size of my thumb - still tasty though. We will be back!
Amazing food, excellent service, cool vibe
Great food and ambiance. Customer service was pretty good too.
the beer is just OK and the food is a little bland for my taste
Upon arriving, I wanted to check-in to our 8:30pm reservation with the receptionist. She was occupied with seating an earlier party, so I directed my attention to another member of the restaurant staff standing next to her. When I mentioned that I have a reservation for 2 the receptionist looked up and snapped, “I will get to you as soon as I am able to seat the folks before you.” Seeing that she was clearly frazzled, I let it go.
It was unfortunate that we were seated directly next to a party of 6-8 that were quite loud, exacerbated by concrete floors and no separation. Despite, we had visited once before and enjoyed our brunch experience, so we were hoping the dinner experience would be the same. The limited items on the menu was exciting since we felt the chefs could focus on making them outstanding. When our waiter finally made it to us, we had a few questions that he was not equip to answer, such as, what type of fish is your whole fish feature? Waiter responded with he looked at it earlier and it was about this big [hand gesture] but wasn’t sure what type of fish, and even though he mentioned he would check on it for us, he never did. We went ahead and ordered the whole fish and the main scallop course. We ordered bread to start which was sub-par, in both temperature and cut. Perhaps serving it a room temperature caused the crust to be so chewy that my jaw was exhausted after one slice.
After getting our bread, we waited over an hour and still our main courses did not arrive. No waiter to be found til I flagged him down. His response is there was big party ahead of us and free dessert will make up for it. Since our concern was hunger now and not dessert later, I wanted to get confirmation that our food was being prepared, which no one could tell us, so we opted to leave. The manager came by to offer a major discount but again, it wasn’t about the price, it was about getting our food. If it wasn’t for the manager, we would’ve given the place 1 star.
Great food and service! We sat outside and it was a great choice because inside was packed. The lamb chop was by far the best thing on the menu.
The owner was there and came over to our table multiple times was extremely friendly and even showed us to this amazing sculpture they have in front. We will be going back for sure!
Wonderfully inventive beers, excellent food, and super knowledgeable staff. Exceptional experience. Can’t wait to go back.
The ribs were over-cooked, my friends chicken wings weren't that great. I ate here before and the ribs were perfectly cooked. Consistency seems to be lacking, unfortunately.
The beer was definitely the highlight. We liked all the ones we tried! The food was okay, but not really worth the price. My favorite item was the sweet potato dip.
Portions are smaller and more expensive than the pictures on their site. Overpriced.
Call in advanced to make sure the online menu mirrors what will be available for your meal. We were disappointed that the menu happened to change overnight.
Super cute outdoorsy feeling restaurant with nice calm live music
We didn’t have good service or good food. We’ve been going here since it opened. Unfortunately this will be our last visit. The menu options have changed and do not offer anything unique for the price. The menu used to be more creative and was a good value for the amount of food you got. Our waiter appeared distracted all evening. This was overall a disappointing experience. We wish it was like it used to be.
Food was ok but overpriced. Would come back for a happy hour.
Dining at the Brewer's table is an experience. The service is impeccable and the food is super yummy and very unique. It's designed to pair well with beer using many of the same ingredients, albeit in ways you never imagined. The atmosphere is relaxed. I recommend sitting at the chef's corner for at least one of your visits (face it, you'll be going back). Arguably one of the best restaurants in Austin and it's unique to Austin.
The portion sizes for pricing was definitely off. The food was average but also left still hungry.
While I appreciate the desire to use only local fresh produce, we very much missed the excellent steak tartar that we enjoyed last week and cannot understand why it was removed. There should be a better balance between maintaining popular dishes and introducing new taste adventures. Our waiter, Wood, was not very attentive, particularly since the restaurant was not busy on Thursday.
