We had a fantastic time at Breadfruit and Rum Bar. Angelica was our server and she did an amazing job recommending items and guiding us through the menu. As restaurateurs we know what is means to provide excellent service and we found all of our needs anticipated and met with grace. The food was also excellent. Thank you very much. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to experience the best of Phoenix.

Very creative with a Jamaican twist. Lots of interesting ingredients. You can sample small and large plates. Be forewarned the 5 pepper shrimp will make your head sweat! Loved the brisket entree; very tender. The service is flawless teamwork. And best of all was the hot rum toddy for dessert! Will definitely be going back.

Our dining experience at The Breadfruit was like a mini vacation to the Caribbean. Having lived in Jamaica dor a decade I can vouch for the authenticity of the food. The restaurant even smells of Jamaica. The rum drinks are works of art. Love the music and relaxed outdoor seating.

I loved it! The food was delicious, the drinks were amazing, and the setting was very beautiful. Our server was very attentive and did a great job of explaining the menu and answering our questions. There is more on the menu I'd like to try, so I'll be back!

Made reservation well in advance, and noted on the Open Table form that it was for a birthday ... yet was placed at a small table squeezed into the back of the crowded bar and next to the restrooms. Server kept telling us what we should order rather than first asking what we wanted. Acted disappointed when we made a different choice. Even though we made a relatively early reservation at 7:45 on a Saturday, two main entrees that we wanted were already gone. The second choices were not up to par. The clams and shrimp sausage was much too salty ... the server offered another item but didn't want to wait; the salmon was slightly overcooked. However, the Tiger shrimp appetizer that we ordered despite the server's recommendation was easily the best dish of the meal. The cocktails, again the ones we chose, were outstanding. The desert was uneventful.

Pleasantly surprised by this hidden little gem. Beautiful location, attentive service, cigar and tasting patio. The Food isn't for the faint of heart. Jamaican spice and flair throughout - less about the heat more about the flavor. Must appreciate rum!

My husband and I have been celebrating our wedding anniversary here for the past 5 yrs. we have shared and brought many guests with us. Everyone loved the food, the daily punch, and the ambience. Service is always impeccable.

This bar is great! Make sure to make a reservation it makes a world of difference. It is worth it. The menus is thoughtful put together and an upscale twist on classic Jamaican food. It was delicious and the drinks were amazing. Atmosphere is just right for a date night. Staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. One of the best eating experiences I’ve had. Plus the music was spot on. I took my Jamaican husband and he loved it! First Jamaican restaurant we went to where he hasn’t complained about the food not being food enough or authentic enough.

Our server was extremely knowledgable about the dishes and each time she recommended something, we wanted to try it. She also did a wonderful job of recommending cocktails to pair with our food selections. The cocktails were expertly-made and full of flavor. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we are excited to return in the near future.
