Breakfast before the spa in the hotel for my mom’s birthday. The food was okay but would have gone somewhere with more options if it weren’t for the convenience. Service was friendly and welcoming.
A lovely, sophisticated little spot, with delicious food, cocktails, and excellent service.
Friendly staff and professional
Great service and my duck breast was one of the best I’ve had.
Everything tasted great. Our server was phenomenal. Its was brunch, so there was a lively brunch crowd and live music. Not too crowded though.
It was wonderful being back to one of our standby good restaurants and seeing that nothing has changed. We had a wonderful server, good was perfect, and cocktails par excellant!
Astonishingly small portions
Just okay. Not great.
Yes place has exceptional food with even better service.
James and the entire staff at The Brasserie are so professional, personable and always make me feel special and welcome. I have said many times before, I am so grateful they are back open and doing well. The Jazz Brunch on Sundays is superb.
The Brasserie is an elegant and classic resturant, with excellent food and good service.
Service was fantastic
Been there many times (more than a dozen?). Menu is very limited now.. made reservations days ago and they seated us in the bar (moved us to the door next to the kitchen) . Very noisy night not helped by seating. Prices don't warrant that ambiance. Energetic? NOISY. Waiter and food was very good.
Really loved dinner with exceptional service!
Unfortunately we did not have a great experience. Our reservation was for 8:15 and we were told because several people were late for their 8:00 reservations we had to wait. Upon finally being seated 25 minutes late it took over an hour to order a bottle of wine. I recognize several problems with understaffing due to current times are happening across the board, but for the price the service was unacceptable. Food was solid but for the amount of restaurants in Chicago I’m not sure we would go back. Also AC did not seem to be working in the restaurant which did not help out the morale at the table.
Our choices were delicious and service excellent!
A terrific room in the style of a traditional French brasserie. Good, typical bistro food. Adequate wine list albeit a bit pricey (as is the case with all too many restaurants these days). The service and welcome was first rate with every effort made to be accommodating. The Michael Mina brand is, happily gone and it is now run exclusively by the hotel . Coming back from the challenges of the pandemic is a difficult task and The Brasserie is well on its way to accomplishing just that.
Honestly we had a phenomenal experience. Amazing drinks, appetizer, entree, dessert, etc. Yes it’s pricey, but it’s also expected for a Waldorf Astoria restaurant and we left with no regrets. We will be back for sure. Also, had a very attentive waiter. Great experience overall.
Everything was fantastic portion of duck given was just disappointing.
Nicole made excellent wine suggestions. Jesse was an excellent server.
This is such a wonderful restaurant for their Sunday jazz brunch, or, any time. Everyone is so service oriented while maintaining the highest professional standards. It is fine dining with zero pretentions. James is the best. Todd Temperly is a great Complex General Manager. Everyone at the Brasserie is superb as is the cuisine. And, they have the best bartender in the City.
The waiter was exceptional. Did an outstanding job. Highly recommend him. Wow
The Halibut is excellent
For really average dining, go here. It is average but at least it is expensive.
