love this restaurant for brunch. always awesome!!
Expense for every day dining, but excellent service and perfect for a date or friends get together.
We went there for brunch, and the food was fantastic! We had the french toast and greek yogurt as well as sides of bacon and pain au chocolat. The Sparrow Coffee was amazing! We could not have enough that our server was kind enough to give us refills. The server was great -- he even showed us the personalized coffee blend, and to even go above and send us home with a cup of the beans :) Food, service, and ambiance was perfect for brunch. Now I need to go there for their dinner :)
We had an excellent experience here. The service and food were great!
Drinks and service were great but we were charged higher prices for the up in smoke cocktails and the cheeseboard than what was listed on the menu which is suspicious
Look - it's the Waldarf. The food, ambience, and service should all be wonderful - and they are. Also, there bottomless sparkling or still rose is a really nice option! It's never going to be your best value - the prices are inflated (but not insulting) - and that's part-for-the-course when it comes to luxury hotel restaurants.
The restaurant decor is nice. I had duck, literally two thin slices for hefty $38, my date had sea bass she said it was overdone, but she felt bad complaining, desert was tiny slice of key lime pie. Waiter was attentive. First time dining here, disappointed, not coming back this place again.
Friendly server but we had to wait about 20 minutes from bringing the coffee to get the order.
Over-priced for a very basic brunch. The staff was nice, but nothing exceptional.
Many other options in Chicago to choose to eat that will cost you a lot less and get the same menu.
La comida nada espectacular, podría decir que más hacia mal que buena aún que nuestro mesero fue muy amable y servicial.
Wonderful New Year celebration with delicious menu items.
I would dine here again! Very upscale and the service staff did and excellent job being very attentive.
The service was excellent and so was the food.
Brunch was amazing, incredible experience and excellent service.
Service and food was excellent. It is on every visit.
Food was delicious even if the portions were incredibly small. I get it- nice restaurant, Chicago prices, but this was taking it a little far. The worst part- the part that made it not worth the money or the visit- was the service. Although the bar was impressively stocked, the waiter was not at all knowledgeable or helpful with drink selection. More importantly than that, our waiter seemed completely disinterested in providing quality service and only focused on spending the absolute least amount of time at our table as possible. Not once could we get a refill on water. Never had the opportunity to order a second drink. This might be an alright place to stop in and sit at the bar after dinner if the bartender is more helpful than the waiter, but don’t eat your meal here.
Food was good. Service was excellent for both meals that we had there. Some things a bit overpriced for what you got but that’s probably typical for a hotel restaurant. Limited menu. Breakfast was very good, specifically brioche French toast and lemon blueberry pancakes.
Fantastic Christmas dinner
The menu on website is outdated and incorrect. When I clicked on the "menu" button, a one-page menu showed that features a trimmed-down list of what seemed to be an all-day menu (it did not indicate time). We went there at 1:30pm and the menu provided, and the food selection, was strictly for brunch. I went specifically to try the steak tartare (available in the one page menu online) but they would not serve it.
The brunch menu pricing is outdated. Of our 4 orders, two were incorrect:
Bloody Mary: listed at $12.00, but billed for $14.00
Seafood Tower: listed at $28.00, but billed for $42.00
The food was great, and it was Christmas day, so I didn't bother to ask about the discrepancy in pricing. But it doesn't make sense to have different pricing on the menu vs. actual price charged.
Our second Christmas morning in a row at the Brasserie. We love the place, Quiet but lovely atmoshere, great personable service and good food. A terrific place to enjoy Christmas morning.
Nice quite dining room, Alex provided attentive service and was a big help in
picking out a bottle of wine. sea bass & steak tar tar were excellent. Brasserie
was a nice alternative to the crowed & loud restaurants down the street.
Outstanding service and amazing food!
The food was really good. Portions are just right. The assistance from the Sommelier was very good as she selected a wine with great taste at an affordable price. Overall we will definitely return.
Overall very good, however, the establishment was out of stock on an inordinate number of listed Spirits especially Scotches and Tawny Port that should have been available.
Seated at 11:30 am and didn’t have a drink or food until 45 minutes later. Once they placed bread on the table, another 10 minutes to get plates. They served the OJ first without the champagne. At this point made a complaint to the manager and the awful service continued on. You would think after asking to speak to the manager things would get better but it probably got worse. Only thing that saved the day was the great live music.
The whole experience was terrific
Scott our server was knowledgeable and charming
We thoroughly enjoyed the meal, service and ambiance including live music!
Good food, but we got the wrong bill when we we’re checking
