Superb food fantastic waitress Georgina
Beautiful place will be back
Fantastic food and generous wine portion. Would definitely book again.
Beautiful setting. Friendly, professional staff. Well presented, good quality food. Will return. Many thanks
My friend and I had a nice lunch and the service was excellent.
Delicious food and big portions, restaurant was very quiet as we were one of two tables in at 5pm due to restaurant closing earlier in winter
Dunes was lovely to take my American friends too and they thoroughly enjoyed their visit with a delicious lunch.
Food, service, atmosphere……👌🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😁
Really enjoyed our visit for breakfast. Food and surroundings were excellent. There was only one other couple in the restaurant during our visit.
Service would have been five star had we not been given and payed for the other couples bill which we didn’t notice until we had left.
Top class food and service in great surroundings and views.
Had breakfast before golf which was the best and a meal afterwards. The service and treatment was 5 star
Just felt very expensive nearly fifteen pounds for macaroni and cheese..huge margins there!!
The food was tasty and the waitress was so lovely.
Lovely breakfast - attentive staff - great place to meet friends and chat. Good value
Fantastic meal the fish was amazing
Staff fabulous and made our evening Special as it was my parents Diamond anniversary.
Lovely evening will be going again soon
Lunch for two at the Dunes. Was very nice, quiet and service was prompt. Food was excellent and would go again for sure.
Just to say whilst we were very satisfied with the quality of food and of service, we were more than a little concerned
How close the next table was. If I moved my chair back at all , the chair hit the chair behind which was also a table of four.
On reflection, we should have asked to be moved, however it was a special occasion and we were entertaining guests
And did not wish to cause a fuss. In these times it is difficult to understand why the staff were filling all the tables close to each other when there were ample vacant tables to allow sensible social distancing between all.
We will return but on reflection will have no hesitation in future to ask for a change of table.
Excellent service. Food good. although risotto portion would have benefitted from more pickled veg. Wines quite expensive
Lovely meal at reasonable cost. Would go back again
We had a well presented, nicely cooked meal for two - not a vast menu - portions just right.
Food and service amazing. Lovely setting and the staff very attentive , especially Molly Shepherd our waitress.
Service was very polite but very slow. Not busy so was quiet atmosphere. No raspberry gin from bar, had ran out, surprising for hospitality. Used to be chunky fries which made my dining better for me. Now skinny fries which made it feel like a McDonalds. Restaurant was very clean and staff very presentable and very polite, good staff and very accommodating.
We love visiting the Dunes Restaurant as it’s always amazing food, excellent service & good value for money.
We also received a very decorative “Anniversary” plate with complimentary chocolates which was very much appreciated.
We were met upon arrival with not the best of greetings we were then seated at a table which was next to a door which was continually opened by staff and customers alike to either serve food outside or for customers to take children away from their table which for me was really cold and certainly not comfortable. The Dunes was extremely busy and noisy due to a large booking staff had no interaction with the customers service was poor and when I mentioned this upon leaving the female server said that they were really busy and could not provide a full service certainly no excuse in dealing with the public. I have been to the Dunes before and was so looking forward to returning with my sister as a birthday present left feeling utterly disappointed.
This restaurant does not cater for people with allergies
I think that your menu is very restrictive and the quality is not up to standard
We had to send the french fries back to the kitchen, they had been reheated and were not palatable
Having had the experience of dining at turnberry we expected this to be similar and as it was a birthday treat it was very disappointing
Food was great, menu is small but something for everyone. Lovely staff and great service. Will be going back for sure!
22nd Wedding Anniversary
Lovely as always
Lovely setting with attentive staff and good food. Staff friendly and well presented
Nice quality food , good choice and staff look after you very well .
Really enjoyed our delicious lunch in lovely surroundings with very attentive staff.
The restaurant itself is a very nice place to be. Spotlessly clean, modern decor and great views across the dunes. The staff were excellent, very well presented and attentive. The food was excellent but the portion sizes were very small taking into account the prices.
Delicious food, very attentive staff and excellent service.
Efficient friendly service. Excellent food, well presented. Good portion sizes. Small plate instead of a main meant I could have the fabulous rhubarb and custard dessert. Risotto and pea soup were both very tasty.
Excellent food and service . Liked the St Andrew’s lager very refreshing
Food and service quality was excellent but the food was expensive for what you get and drinks are extortionately expensive. Probably looking at almost twice the price of other good restaurants.
While you do expect to pay a bit more for a quality restaurant in a lovely setting, I felt a little “cheated” with the price of the drinks.
Ruth was amazing!! Food lovely, are really special evening!!
Ruth deserves a medal, her attention to detail and friendly nature , she went the extra mile.
A fantastic meal with very attentive waiters. It was our anniversary and they bought us out a lovely chocolate board to celebrate so thank you.
Delicious food at very reasonable prices. Great service in comfortable setting
Rib eye was average - I have had much better/thicker
Fish and chips - Batter was a bit soggy, fish was ok
Wine was fine
Nice restaurant with a good view and ambience. The food was quite good, but slightly too salty. The service was keen but overly intrusive.
