Worked out great for a party of 7. Older folks and the Young adult kids. Good time had by ALL!!
Went for the pre-fixe brunch for my birthday. The food was great , and loved the drink deals. Decent service. Would recommend!
The strip steak was amazing. I never had to ask for more water - the servers were very attentive.
The bar was lively without being overcrowded. Good wine list that is reasonably priced. We really enjoyed the steaks, which were cooked perfectly.
Good food and setting. Waiter was a little over anxious about getting our orders. He asked 5 times in a short time period, and we didn’t have enough time to get settled and read the menu.
Food was decent. We ate on 2nd floor; cool settings and architectural features.
Celebrating birthday for Dr. Charles with good friends
Solid pub-style restaurant. Noisy downstairs - by that I mean lively... and quiet upstairs for conversation with friends. Fried calamari and lobster Mac and cheese to share were delicious. I had the salmon which was not unique but done well. Friends enjoyed their food as well. Great beer selection! Solid place to avoid all the sports bars in Hoboken.
I changed the time of the reservation right before we were supposed to get there and they easily changed my time for an hour later. It was greatly appreciated with no complications on a Saturday night. Food was delicious. This party of 9 was happy and will be returning!
We went for a boozy brunch. It was too loud, service was slow, didn't taste any alcohol in our drinks, my French toast was burnt. Next time if we do go back will try ordering from their regular menu. I read so many great reviews so I was a bit disappointed.
The food was great especially the filet mignon! The white sangria was delicious get a pitcher it’s worth the $26!!
Warm, wonderful service! I was very proud to bring my manhattan friends to Hoboken for brunch here, and theyre very picky! The burnch prix fixe is such a good deal. Will return!
Food was not good and we were sick from it after. Won't go back.
Worst experience ever. It was my Wife's birthday and they forgot !!!!!!! How those that happen I called I reminded them once I got there and we were the only table there and they failed to bring a candle just a candle with her name spelled on the plate that's all I wanted. Just a unpleasant experience. Don't ever go for special occasions . ALSO I called to speak to the owner I ask when I can call him and I got hung up the phone today oct 22 2017 at 11:45 am . Not good customer service I would say.
Service was delayed and mis reported. Food was not great.
Food below par - server wore too much cologne that made us lose our appetite.
Fantastic brunch, the staff was great. My parents had steak and eggs and I had the fried egg & jalapeno hash, all were fantastic.
I have walked by this place many times but have never went in. I dined here on a Saturday night with a friend from out of town. We ate at approximately 7 PM, and the restaurant was busy but not too crowded yet. It was very cozy, with outdoor seating and bar seating as options. The downstairs had TVs with sports events playing and was louder. The upstairs, where we sat, was nice and quiet. The food was very good. I had the delicious honey glazed chicken breast and my friend had the Fillet Mignon, which was prepared exactly as ordered. I also had a mojito which was delicious. The service was very good. Would definitely return and eat here again.
Brass Rail is THE BEST restaurant in Hoboken. I have been on several occasions and have had lunch, brunch, and dinner there. I have never been disappointed or have ever left a drop of food on my plate. It is all delicious! Great variety and even better prices! The service is great with wait staff that is always accommodating! I cannot say enough great things!
Very good service and food you won't go wrong here
Always a great meal at Brass Rail! The quality of food (and the variety/uniqueness of the menu) is amazing. However, your service is weirdly subpar when I go. Our waitress was off-putting, curt, and not warm/friendly. Work on hiring better servers!
Pleasant surroundings and good very friendly service. However the food was at best mediocre.
Went here for Restaurant Week because my girlfriend and I have always wanted to try this place. Appetizers were underwhelming (I got the Tuna tartare with avocado. It was pretty bad and the avocado had ZERO taste. my girlfriend had the caesar salad, which had wilted lettuce). For the mains, I got a rigatoni dish wirh grilled chicken and eggplant. It was okay, nothing special but better than the apps.
The desserts were the best part but I do not think we will go back.
I would definitely recommend getting there early if you go for weekend brunch. My friend and I arrived right when they opened and within 30 minutes there was a a wait because of the AMAZING brunch deal. Our primary waitress seemed a bit overwhelmed and wasn't very friendly, but the additional staff was great and made up for her lack of attention and being a bit rude.
To noisy for business dinning, they would not tweek down the level the slightest, and they weren't close to full; now I know why they weren't.
We celebrated our anniversary here, which was also where we began dating a number of years ago. Service was outstanding and the food was great too! Brass Rail, thank you!
Great food great service and close to everything in Hoboken
I wish I could remember our servers name but she was fantastic! We came in on Saturday and sat upstairs (party of 5). Her recommendations were spot on from beer to entrees and desserts.
The filet mignon with mushrooms and gorgonzola whipped mashed potatoes was excellent! My only gripe is that grape tomatoes were an unusual choice for a vegetable accompaniment. I associate them with a salad and would have much preferred haricot vert.
"The Prohibition Pig," a mixed drink, was excellent. (It's bacon-flavored bourbon with maple syrup, served over one enormous ice cube and garnished with candied bacon.)
The second-floor dining room is considerably quieter than the noisy bar on the first floor.
A great dining experience! Highly recommended!
Our waiter was very friendly and helpful, since my mom couldn't decide what to order. The food is always high-quality and delicous. The $22 prix-fixe brunch is such a great deal! I always bring out-of-town visitors here for brunch and no one is ever disappointed.
All was very good but too loud. We sat upstairs which was not fully occupied and the noise level was beyond energetic since you could here many conversations going on at the same level as we were trying to speak at. I would recommend it to friends but i would warn them of the noise level.
We dined at this restaurant for my birthday and it was absolutely delicious!! I would recommend it to anyone!!
The food was amazing ! I got the eggs and steak for brunch! The prices were really good as well compared to other places . I would recommend this place to anyone . Only thing is it gets crowded and loud so I would avoid bringing kids
Waitresses were great and attentive, food was good, perfiteroles where wonderful and ambience was peaceful upstairs.
Excellent food!! The truffle meatballs and gnocchi were amazing. Best meal I've had so far in Hoboken
I went here for my birthday with a group of friend it was super easy to make a reservation and the management and workers including the people at the hostess stand were awesome, helpful and just really nice from the moment we walked in, I would deff come again!
Good service...ok food. Server very attentive but we could not get past the below par food. Crab enchiladas were terrible. Chicken good but not great. Tuna appetizer...horrible...prepared like a I have never seen and not at all good. Place needs a menu revamp. Server was great and deserved a better menu to work with.
Had the french onion soup and it was delicious! Husband had the calimari and salmon - he loved it. The cocktails were just ok- not great / very little alcohol.
Good food, good service. Nothing too out of the ordinary compared to the other places in the area. There are others nearby that are better, but it was fine for a business lunch.
My family and I came for brunch. The mimosas tasted like thick OJ with no champagne so we switched to the Sangria and had the same disappointment. Tasted like fruit juice. The BLT wasn't very good...little bacon, terrible bread. The white bean omlet was good but not anything that would make me come back. Overall we were disappointed considering the great reviews I saw.
