Good people with a good vibe in a laid back, fun atmosphere- no white table cloths here!

With over 20 years of cooking experience, Chef Matt Garcia brings a new dining experience to Tuolumne County. Classically trained at Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in San Francisco, Chef Matt has worked with some of the Bay Area's top chefs. As a young chef he was nominated as 7x7 Rising Star Chef, creating beautiful dishes that showcase the freshness of the ingredients and their bright, natural flavor and he continues to do so. The Branch is a place where we come together, to eat, enjoy and relax.

Located under the Twain Harte arch, our casual environment allows you to enjoy yourself with a glass of wine, beer or sparkling in hand. We welcome you to The Branch and we look forward to serving you.

Good eats. You can tell when it's a smaller kitchen a lot gets packed in. The team genuinely wanted everyone to have a good eating experience. The creativity on the menu is why I was drawn in, and I left feeling full of flavor. Maybe I want this place to succeed and sustain since I'm local, but each new menu posting I think there's no way to go wrong. Get out and try it, have a drink, say hi to the table next to you and enjoy! [wow, that really reads like someone paid me to write it with a bunch of flapping gums, but nope, just a guy that likes his food and if there's mex/latin flavors, more power to the team!]

We signed up for the email alerts and when the tapas alert showed up, we made the reservation immediately - and, as usual, the food was terrific! (And for tapas, the portions were very generous.) Best restaurant in Tuolumne County by a pretty wide margin.

Matt and his crew did not fail; we had another amazing dining experience at The Branch. Our server Jane was spot on, and it was only her second day! The only suggestion I would give is maybe get an additional 1 or 2 high back chairs for the patio area in case more than 2 people sit at a table. It was a very enjoyable evening!

Wonderful food and met very interesting guests at the next table. We have been several times and have not been disappointed. We hope in future to throw a party where we can experience their catering service.
