With over 20 years of cooking experience, Chef Matt Garcia brings a new dining experience to Tuolumne County. Classically trained at Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in San Francisco, Chef Matt has worked with some of the Bay Area's top chefs. As a young chef he was nominated as 7x7 Rising Star Chef, creating beautiful dishes that showcase the freshness of the ingredients and their bright, natural flavor and he continues to do so. The Branch is a place where we come together, not only to simply eat but to experience the joy, the emotion that his food brings about.

We believe food should create a memory, an emotion, and Chef Matt is able to capture this concept beautifully all within a laid back, fun atmosphere (no white table cloths here!)

Located under the Twain Harte arch, our casual environment allows you to enjoy yourself with a glass of wine, beer or sparkling in hand. We welcome you to The Branch and we look forward to serving you.

THE MENU: Tuna poke tostada, sesame slaw Shrimp + pork dumplings, lemongrass and carrot Chicken-poached tofu + egg spicy garlic oil Coconut + clams, Bok choy, ginger, fresh herbs Beef Two Ways, kim chi spiced broccolini, “fried” rice Tropical panna cotta, Matcha shortbread Small changes may occur to menu based on availability and quality of ingredients. Seatings are now available starting at 5:00 with the last booking at 9:00pm Our menu includes multiple courses using local ingredients such as vegetables, fish, poultry, meat, dairy and grains. If there's a dietary restriction please alert us upon booking and we'll provide a substitution and/or eliminate the protein or allergen to provide for an enjoyable experience.

If you haven’t eaten at The Branch in Twain Harte yet, you’re missing out big time!! The crew that makes these heavenly meals and wonderful atmosphere are truly one of a kind! You can tell they all work hard together to make your experience one of a kind! From the greeting when you walk in to the (literally) MOST scrumptious food and dessert I’ve ever had, it’s an experience you want to have over and over!

Chief Matt is the real deal, if you are looking for a fabulous dining experience, don't miss this hidden gem. All of our dishes were cooked to perfection, along with a very friendly staff making our dining experience perfect. You can spend the same amount of money at other restaurants for a mediocre meal, or have an experience that will make you wanting to come back again. This is now our #1 restaurant in the area. Very highly recommended.

We love the Branch. It's such a refreshing place to have a meal. Originally loved lunch service there and was bummed to see that it moved to dinner but we just had our first dinner there and it was fantastic. Multi-courses for $100; easy peasy. Made for a fun evening and we didn't have to think about what we wanted to eat.

When we arrived both the doors were wide open, it was COLD outside. We did ask them to close them and they did. They sat us right next to the door even though there were other tables available. The food was ok, not worthy of $100 per person. The server was sweet and friendly. Food was not great, over salted and basic.

Chef Matt is serving up the best food in town! We were so excited to get a reservation for his 7 course chefs tasting menu. Each dish was delicious! We are also so glad the a la carte menu is back and we will be able to pop in for an appetizer and entree anytime. Can't wait to come back!

This was our first time for dinner at our favorite lunch spot. They completely transformed the place. It was so warm and intimate. We were greeted with a glass of sparkling wine and seated. The food was incredible all the way from the apps through dessert and the wine list was excellent. All the dishes were explained by the amazing staff, including Chef Matt, who we were able to watch prepare our sophisticated but totally unstuffy meal. We will most definitely be back for another experience.
