Great atmosphere and very welcoming. Table service a bit hit and miss
My family booked a table for Christmas eve, the staff were all amazing, very friendly and helpful, even though they were fully booked up. The food is delicious, fresh and high quality, my whole family agree. We all recommend the brisket burger.
Really nice atmosphere, good food (although a limited menu in December), and friendly helpful staff. Would recommend for families, groups, or couples.
Newly opened, and hopefully teething problems only. Table Service very slow and not coordinated, no head waiter obvious coordinating waiting staff who seemed inexperienced. We had to wait for ages for our drinks and then had to ask to get our food order taken. My food was lukewarm and after waiting so long I didn’t want to wait even longer for hot food by sending it back - it was probably sitting on the counter waiting to be brought over...
Disappointed as the Bowery was just opened and we want it to do well...
Hopefully it will improve with time!
Very poor menu - a lot of heavy / fried food choices - starters particularly poor selection. Service slow and poor (cutlery 5 mins after meals arrived)- really disappointed won’t be back.
Nice spot but forgot to put our order in. Waited ages. Staff nice but inexperienced. Food good when we got it. All fatty standard stuff. Need fish main, dine lighter options too. Early days but needs to improve.
Disappointed in the food and service was really very slow initially but improved one drinks arrived after 20 minutes after we had ordered them.
Such a shame as will be our only family dinner out this Christmas/New Year.
Average food..menu poor...rip off drinks....cheeseboard next door also a take on..
Lovely atmosphere, great service and fab food & value
We both got steak and chips. The steak was excellent ( and for once) cooked medium/ rare. Steaks were pricey but included all the accompaniment. For a new restaurant, I was impressed by service. Will definitely be back.
Amazing dinner and lovely staff. Had such a lovely evening. Thank you for all your hard work!!
Great to see a new/old bar open again. Need somewhere nice for the over 30s to go in Belfast. Hope it maintains the crowd and clientele.
My friend looked forward to visiting the new Bowery.Things ofcourse were not true to form because of the Covid.Hopefully in the future the ambience will be better with more people enjoying a night out.The food was good and the staff very attentive. We will definitely be back when it opens again.Roll on!!!
Really poor wine list, why!!! Quality of food good but range limited, expect this will improve after the on/off Covid. Sort out the wine and I’ll be back.
We had a gorgeous meal, food was lovely, staff couldn’t of done enough for us. Brilliant atmosphere too.
Tried the Bowery again and apart from the waitress who served our table, the rest of the service was terrible. The person who greets at the door was very rude for the 2nd time. Such a pity, lovely food and great ambience but the service continues to let it down
Had a lovely lunch in great surroundings. We enjoyed some “craic” with our waiter who could not have been more helpful. I thoroughly recommend a visit.
Great to see it open again with good food and service
New location and we were really looking forward to trying the place out
New decor especially outside looks great
Atmosphere lacking we think due to current uncertainty
First server was a bit “to the point” and felt like menus and drinks more slapped down than served
Getting drinks took some time as not really busy
Food good when arrived even with a limited menu
Noticed a number of patrons not conforming to wearing masks when moving around, not challenged
Early days....can only get better
Service very poor ; Food basic ; Staff need a lot of training in current situation
Fantastic atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. Friendly and efficient staff. Food was faultless...overall a great experience
The main bar is not greatly changed from The Albany but we still like it. New wine bar now next door too. Meal was excellent and good adherence to c19 rules. We all should go regularly in 2021 and supply local businesses.
Would recommend the Christmas dinner! Friendly staff and good service.
Kevin, was very friendly and informative. Our meal and service was excellent. He upsold the Crafty Vintner next door, we had to go and try it too.
Great job the place looks fab!
Service by the guys was excellent especially Irvin. I had the burger which was good but not fantastic. The pulled beef was good but the beef pate was lacking flavour. I'll be back.
Really lovely surroundings, staff and food Great to have a new local.
Service, food and staff all fantastic. Looks amazing
Loved the food, Loved the menu choices. Will definitely be back.
We didn’t get any food for our substantial meal but thank goodness for Ian. The service was amazing and he made sure we were sorted with drinks all evening, saviour!
As explained on the night to the duty manager, I had a booking for 6pm but didn't get food until 7:15pm. It was explained that there was a back log in the kitchen which I appreciate but there was no communication from the waiting staff or even the offer of some breads to tie us over until our main course arrived. Perhaps the management\kitchen haven't calculated the number of covers now being produced to meet all the bookings. I hope that this was a one off as the Albany would have been my local and really enjoyed going.
Great service throughout our evening. Burger is a really generous portion and great value for money getting it with the chips as well. Lovely selection of cocktails. Monkfish portion is small and definately wouldnt be a big enough meal. But is delicious just isnt enough
Service was terrible. People were really nice and the food was great, but it was so so slow. Same story as the albany before it. They just need a system, especially when everything is table service. Would be back if they sorted the service. thx
Staff were good, food was excellent. Even with the Covid restrictions, it felt, friendly and comfortable.
We did get rushed of the table with the 1:45 time limit, but we knew that before we arrived... Would have liked to stay longer... Again COVID stuff.
We will be back.
Very poor wine selection especially having a winery next door .
Food was amazing! Really tasty. Kevin was a star, can’t wait to come back!
First night after lockdown, I expected some issues. Service was very slow but we didn't mind because we were the last sitting. Food was very good, if anything my main was slightly cold so I had to eat fast.
What annoyed me most was the random wandering of other patrons with no masks from table to table. This didn't affect my party at my table but I did see several other tables mixing freely. I'm not sure what the management can do about this.
Overall a nice night.
I will be back.
Service slow at start but got better
Food very good
Food very bland and mediocre. Service poor and staff not trained sufficiently in COVID safety measures. Some weren’t wearing masks.
No disposable menus.
Track and trace form passed around the restaurant with one pen. This was both dangerous and against GDPR regulations.
A very disappointing experience
The male table servicer “James” was excellent. The operations manger and floor manger were rude and not helpful. They did not Help the running of the night and instead seemed to run around not contributing to the running of the night. I was over priced on my bill and waited for 40mins before a menu was left.
Both starters were great. Monkfish is quite a small plate of food overall, could do with extra lentils or maybe a side of veg included in the dish. Wasn't a filling meal. Would love to see fillet steak on the menu. Cocktails were brilliant and service was really good, staff were entirely competent and attentive throughout. Will definately return.
