Fun, lively, and vibrant, The Boon Fly Café serves modern rustic cuisine in a contemporary roadhouse atmosphere. Start your day with our signature Boon Fly donuts, and end it with our award-winning fried chicken or one of our nightly dinner specials. Resort guests and locals alike are drawn to the energetic vibe and satisfying cuisine that’s based on the agricultural heritage of the region.

Named for a Carneros pioneer named Boon Fly, who planted orchards and vineyards in the area in the mid-1800s, our café is a homage to local flavor.

Boon Fly, descended from settlers of the early New England Colonies, was part of the great tradition of wagon trains that brought many of the early families west. He was drawn to the farmlands north of the city and settled outside of Napa on a property that would become known as the Fly District.

We had a very special birthday dinner. Everything was terrific. The food, service and everything about the restaurant worked out perfectly. Our birthday girl was thrilled! We can't wait to return.

We had eaten here for breakfast but never dinner and boy it didn’t disappoint! It was very fresh and tasty and the service was amazing- as usual!

Service is spot on. Friendly ,fast, and attentive. Food is fresh and full of flavor. The fish tacos and chopped salad and pulled pork were all winners with us. The deserts looked amazing, but we were too full!

Restaurant fit bus in earlier than our reservation time Hostess was energetic and welcoming and got us seated pretty quickly. Menu is wide ranging. We chose to order several apps and didn't need entrees. Brussels sprouts, lettuce wrapped spare ribs and potato tostones were all good.

We love your place for breakfast but we had a terrible dinner there last Saturday. Started with the French onion soup that 2 people ordered and sent back. It wasn’t just bad it was inedible.....not sure how no one tested that before serving. From then on it was down hill. You have a cabanara pasta on there that is nothing close to that so not sure why you call it that. Burger was good. Fried chicken ok but by that point we were just disappointed.

The lighting made me feel like I was in a hospital.

Again your breakfast is amazing but next time we will be making the trek to Yountville.

We've always enjoyed the Boon Fly Cafe for a weekend breakfast or brunch, despite an often lengthy wait for a table. We usually wait with a signature bacon Bloody Mary to pass the time. Food is always very good and service is generally efficient for a very busy time.
We decided to try dinner--food was good but not great. Donuts are always amazing. The service was very spotty with only a few tables at 6 pm. I'll continue to come for brunch, but not likely to return for dinner.

Very disappointed with the service we received. Our reservation was at 5:45 pm. As soon as we walked in (we were 5 min. late) the hostess immediately told us that they had another reservation at 7:30 and that we had some time to eat. In other words, we should hurry. It immediately ruined our mood and we did not enjoy our time or meals. We are locals who wanted to take advantage of "Restaurant Week" but they didn't have a good deal. Definitely will not be going back and would not recommend.

We arrived at our table at 6:30. The service was poor. The wait between our salad and our main course was an hour. The host gave us free dessert after I told him we had been waiting a long, long time. Everyone who came in after us had been served and departed. What should have been an hour experience ended up being 2 an 1/2 hours. We left after 9 pm. At least it included dessert. Might I say, the food was of solid quality. I hate to wait, so I won't be back for a long while, if I give it another go.

I would say that the food was just ok. The fried chicken was very good, the rest of our food was just ok. Mac n cheese was boring.
Our waitress was excellent. The space is funky, no issue with that.

This our 3rd time at this restaurant. Once for breakfast, once for dinner and then again for breakfast with a larger group. LOVE their donuts - melt in your mouth goodness, and their food is both interesting and delicious. Oh - must have the bloody mary's, they are delicious! Their fried chicken was moist and the most "un-greasy" fried chicken I have ever eaten - huge portion that can definitely be shared the mashed potatoes tasted like they must have used the whole stick of butter in it - yum! A fun and lively spot! It will be a regular place for us, for sure!
