Hubby and I had dinner; the service was on point. Great cocktail recommendations. If you order the fried chicken either be very hungry or know you will have carry out. The flatbread could have used more time in the oven. It was not crispy. The donuts were delicious with the chocolate dipping sauce.
Boon Fly is one of my all time favorites. Though I am usually a breakfast/brunch/lunch patron, my last visit was for dinner with out of town guests. As always, the food was great, as was the ambience. It will continue to be a recommendation of mine.
We really enjoy going to Boon Fly. The fried chicken is a huge, delicious meal - count on leftovers - and there’s always something else that’s interesting on the menu. Fluid service and a very friendly vibe make for a very pleasant time.
Delicious, interesting food. The carbonara was superb as was the salmon. When we arrived, the restaurant was not crowded. We asked for the table next to where we were going to be seated. The Waiter e a big deal of checking his notes, hemming and hawing, before letting us sit there. Not his best move or finest hour. But everything else was very good.
Had a great time with great friends and family. The food was very good and cooked perfectly. I loved the Thursday night Chicken and Donuts.
Quick and casual but refined, a great spot for locals and out of towners. Lots of great small dishes to share.
Solid dinner! Great menu.
This food was amazing, our server, Danielle was great! Overall a great experience. Will go again if in the area.
We had a very special birthday dinner. Everything was terrific. The food, service and everything about the restaurant worked out perfectly. Our birthday girl was thrilled! We can't wait to return.
We had eaten here for breakfast but never dinner and boy it didn’t disappoint! It was very fresh and tasty and the service was amazing- as usual!
Service is spot on. Friendly ,fast, and attentive. Food is fresh and full of flavor. The fish tacos and chopped salad and pulled pork were all winners with us. The deserts looked amazing, but we were too full!
Restaurant fit bus in earlier than our reservation time Hostess was energetic and welcoming and got us seated pretty quickly. Menu is wide ranging. We chose to order several apps and didn't need entrees. Brussels sprouts, lettuce wrapped spare ribs and potato tostones were all good.
We love your place for breakfast but we had a terrible dinner there last Saturday. Started with the French onion soup that 2 people ordered and sent back. It wasn’t just bad it was inedible.....not sure how no one tested that before serving. From then on it was down hill. You have a cabanara pasta on there that is nothing close to that so not sure why you call it that. Burger was good. Fried chicken ok but by that point we were just disappointed.
The lighting made me feel like I was in a hospital.
Again your breakfast is amazing but next time we will be making the trek to Yountville.
Overall good food and good service.
My complements to the entire staff for the professionalism and courtesy. It is always a pleasure coming to the restaurant.
We've always enjoyed the Boon Fly Cafe for a weekend breakfast or brunch, despite an often lengthy wait for a table. We usually wait with a signature bacon Bloody Mary to pass the time. Food is always very good and service is generally efficient for a very busy time.
We decided to try dinner--food was good but not great. Donuts are always amazing. The service was very spotty with only a few tables at 6 pm. I'll continue to come for brunch, but not likely to return for dinner.
Our meal was delicious. The service was the best we've had in awhile. We will be back!
It was Napa restaurant week and the price fixed menu was excellent.
Nice server, good food, fun experience.
Very disappointed with the service we received. Our reservation was at 5:45 pm. As soon as we walked in (we were 5 min. late) the hostess immediately told us that they had another reservation at 7:30 and that we had some time to eat. In other words, we should hurry. It immediately ruined our mood and we did not enjoy our time or meals. We are locals who wanted to take advantage of "Restaurant Week" but they didn't have a good deal. Definitely will not be going back and would not recommend.
Everything was delicious! Only thing I would consider is bringing back chicken and waffles. Chicken and donuts doesn’t make any sense! Ciao!
We arrived at our table at 6:30. The service was poor. The wait between our salad and our main course was an hour. The host gave us free dessert after I told him we had been waiting a long, long time. Everyone who came in after us had been served and departed. What should have been an hour experience ended up being 2 an 1/2 hours. We left after 9 pm. At least it included dessert. Might I say, the food was of solid quality. I hate to wait, so I won't be back for a long while, if I give it another go.
Fantastic always. First time for dinner, usually go for breakfast. Chicken and donuts are awesome.
We are never disappointed in our dining at Boone Fly. We have been stopping by for the past 11 years and will continue indefinitely. Never pass up the fried chicken.
The fried chicken is a must and it’s a great dish to share!
I would say that the food was just ok. The fried chicken was very good, the rest of our food was just ok. Mac n cheese was boring.
Our waitress was excellent. The space is funky, no issue with that.
Interesting historic place wth good service & food
This our 3rd time at this restaurant. Once for breakfast, once for dinner and then again for breakfast with a larger group. LOVE their donuts - melt in your mouth goodness, and their food is both interesting and delicious. Oh - must have the bloody mary's, they are delicious! Their fried chicken was moist and the most "un-greasy" fried chicken I have ever eaten - huge portion that can definitely be shared the mashed potatoes tasted like they must have used the whole stick of butter in it - yum! A fun and lively spot! It will be a regular place for us, for sure!
Great time, excellent service!!
The folks at Boone Fly are friendly and service oriented. A favorite place to dine!!
My family went on New Year's Day. It took our server at least 10 minutes to come to our table. We ordered non-alcoholic beverages and it took 15 minutes to get those. We ordered 3 fried chickens and 2 pizzas, one vegetarian and one with salmon. The restaurant was not busy but service was extremely slow. Our server walked away when he asked if everything was ok and I tried to ask for the check. He did this twice when we were asking for something. We witnessed a patron being served the paper wrapper on their cheese for their cheeseburger, so to say we were not impressed is an understatement. The one person in our party who had the salmon pizza ended up getting sick from it, so I don't think any of us will be back.
We have been dining at Boon Fly for the past 2-years - and I normally have the fry chicken - which I love. It's the best I have ever had and boast to my friends about it - and ask them to try it. But, a few days ago I had the fry chicken for dinner - and was very disappointed! I was shocked how greasy it - never like this in the past. Also, not critical, but the portion seemed less? My girlfriend had the salmon and lentils, and said, the salmon was good but the lentils seemed hard. So, I am not sure if it was just that night or something changed in the kitchen?
We treat this as a local place for us and we are never disappointed. We particularly love the staff. Dani is terrific.
Had a wonderful Christmas Day dinner. The Christmas meal choices are delicious. The service is very friendly and comfortable. And the ambiance of the place is wonderful. Feel like you’re so far away from civilization but in reality you’re right by a highway. In all highly recommended.
Great meal in a comfortable, relaxed setting ithe wine country. Excellent quality when you need a break from the gourmet food obsession at most NAPA Valley restaurants.
My cocktail and deviled eggs were good. Unfortunately the chicken on my flatbread was like jerky. If it didn't have the chicken on it, then it might have been good. My son's fried Chicken didn't have much seasoning or flavor.
My daughter was looking for simple but good food and this place was perfect for her. The atmosphere was informal/country. Our food was very good. The room was on the cold side so dress warmly. I would go again.
What a wonderful evening. The butter lettuce salad is perhaps the best salad I have ever had! The fried chicken and potatoes were excellent as well!
Terrific food in a fun, casual environment. The menu has great options and the pricing is more than fair. Good wine list, as you would expect. The Carneros location is perfect for those who can't decide to head to Napa or Sonoma. Split the difference. Only downside on last visit was our party of 6 was seated at a table for 4. Very uncomfortable. Had made the reservations a couple of weeks in advance, and if they couldn't accommodate that size party comfortably, they should have just said so.
Great food and great service!
