About The Boon Fly Cafe

Fun, lively, and vibrant, The Boon Fly Café serves modern rustic cuisine in a contemporary roadhouse atmosphere. Start your day with our signature Boon Fly donuts, and end it with our award-winning fried chicken or one of our nightly dinner specials. Resort guests and locals alike are drawn to the energetic vibe and satisfying cuisine that’s based on the agricultural heritage of the region.

Named for a Carneros pioneer named Boon Fly, who planted orchards and vineyards in the area in the mid-1800s, our café is a homage to local flavor.

Boon Fly, descended from settlers of the early New England Colonies, was part of the great tradition of wagon trains that brought many of the early families west. He was drawn to the farmlands north of the city and settled outside of Napa on a property that would become known as the Fly District.

If you are in Napa area the is a place you must visit. Jalapeño artichoke dip was perfect. Enjoyed a Kobe burger and my friend had the pork chops. She only left the bone on the plate. Thanks Walker and Edwardo for making this stop so great!

The only thing that could make this place better is to create an outdoor seating area. The food is always great, the service is always prompt and professional.

Second time here for dinner, this time with a group of six. The wine was great as were the cocktails. Started with truffle fries...still great. We had a mix of ravioli, short ribs, tuna and fried chicken as our various entrees. We got the macaroni and the smashed potatoes sides. Delish! Everyone loved their entrees. The donuts and the brownie/ice cream desserts were perfect, the red velvet cake a little dry. Our server, Danielle, was flawless. We'll be back!

Food was very good. Ambience was farm to table updated. Slight criticism is that it could use more of a selection to choose from. Just a few more choices for variety.

Unique menu items, super fresh ingredients. A real treat for my taste buds! Service was good. Noise level was a little high for my personal taste, but not unreasonable. Overall, a great experience.

My husband and I were in the wine country celebrating our anniversary. This was our causal dinner. They made us feel special. Service was a attentive. They waived our corkage fee and brought us a dessert to take back to our room. I'd definitely go back. We have had many prior delicious breakfasts there and now I consider it a great dinner spot too!

The fried chicken was excellent. I would suggest putting the mashed potatoes in the center of the plate instead of on the side.; that way they'd stay warm because my mashed potatoes got cold quickly. The collard greens were okay but I like them sliced thinly - they were kinda thick. My husband's burger was perfect and my daughter inhaled the salmon. Our waiter was wonderful and even though my daughter ruined the evening, I still look fondly upon our meal. 😉

Read and heard a lot about this place. It was smaller than expected. We went for dinner and was not disappointed. Menu was not very large but what we had was delicious!

The staff was on top of everything. Seated and was comfortable. The food came out and was delicious! (Kobe beef burgers aren't that pricey) The table next to us struck up and conversation and was warm and friendly. Then we got dessert which was phenominal! Can't wait to go back, highly reccomended!

Service was ok. Tables are too close together. Dinner food was bland and a little to expensive. Maybe we'll try their breakfast next time but wouldn't go back for Dinner. Need to call them because debit charge was more than what I have authorized.

This is just really great comfort food. Ideal for after a long day of tastings. Great kobe burger and some of the best truffle fries out there. The flatbread was above average, but not the best ever. Overall, really hits the spot.

Wednesday Dinner. Greeted warmly, service was sharp but friendly without a rush. Loved the jalapeño artichoke dip. The gimlet had plenty of gin :) the draft beer was limited but complimented the food perfectly. Again limited wine list but I liked what I saw. The burger was cooked perfect and the lady's shrimp and grits was cleaned off her plate with nary a sound. Cornbread muffins with honey butter.....honey butter is the balls. Ended the meal with an espresso actually made correctly!!! The wife's coffee was the worst thing we had, too bitter even with cream.

Well worth the price. Will go back.

We loved Boon Fly so much we came 3 times in 5 days--twice for dinner; once for breakfast. Danielle was our server both nights and she was a delight. We love the Kobe Beef Burgers, the onion rings, the fries... and it all goes so well with a bottle of bubbly. Also loved the Green Eggs and Ham (and freshly made donuts) for breakfast on our way out of town. Already can't wait for our next trip--we'll never miss an opportunity to visit Boon Fly if we're anywhere in the area.
