The drinks were great for the happy hour prices, but the serving sizes of the happy hour food was laughable - the pork belly, for example, was barely a slice of pork belly for $5

We very much enjoyed the Coolinary menu. The Shrimp and Grits were delicious, and the shrimp were large. The salad was light and refreshing and the mango dessert was perfect for a hot day.

We reserved a table for two and got a fantastic little alcove table just off the bar. It was quiet and nicely private. The food was excellent and we have to comeback to try the rest of the menu. We did try the house sazerac that was most excellent. We also tried the same drink and substituted the normal rye with cognac as an experiment on the first sazeracs. It was a very similar but wonderfully different taste. The service and advice was perfect. We will be back.

The booking system seems strange as the only table showing as available was for 5:15 pm but when we arrived it was pretty much empty and remained that way until we left @ around 6:45. Very disappointing as we would have gone later . The ploughmans platter was small and not terribly nice. Service was good . All up a very average experience.

We have eaten here before and absolutely raves about the restaurant to others that asks about NOLA. This time we took our son to celebrate him turning 21. Service was slow, it was loud, we hated the coleslaw and the waitress said after the fact that she should have recommended something else. I really don't think we will be back, which is a bummer. We had such great experiences in the past.

I will have to say I have been here several times before at night and had exceptional service!! But today the staff was exceptional HIGH as a kite except the ones that came for the 3pm . The female bartenders were very rude! The looks Gracie gave us could kill just for Simply doing her job! We were the only ones in the restaurant

Come here every Easter and it doesn’t disappoint. Service can be a bit hit or miss but it’s worth the trouble for an intimate setting with unique food choices.

We were there for happy hour. The manager is a very nice guy. The happy offerings were very good. We had a charcuterie board and some fries. The drinks were great. We have been here a number of times and have always enjoyed it.

i've been going to the bombay club for years. i doubt i will go back after our recent experience. i was so embarrassed that it was my recommendation that i paid for everyone's meals and drinks. the service was absolutely horrendous and we were there at 4:30, so they weren't super busy. about 20 minutes passed and we still had not received our drinks and then a server (still don't know which server was ours) came and asked what was in a gimlet. the bombay club fashions itself as a martini bar and they had to ask the table what the ingredients were for a gimlet. 20 minutes after we ordered it. the food came out timely, but again, our drinks were not on the table and came when were more than halfway through eating. luckily (since i picked up the tab) the bartender had not even started to make our after dinner drinks another 20 minutes after we ordered them, so closed out and won't go back until they get some new management or training or something.

Made a reservation thru open table. We were greeted and seated by a friendly hostess. Waited about 20 min. Never saw a server. Apparently there was only one server working. That’s understandable as we know help has been hard to find. We have been to the Bombay Club in the past and definitely will again. I would highly suggest not taking reservations at a time when you can’t provide your guest with service.

This is not the Bombay club I have been to in years past. Their former menu has been replaced with pub food. There was one waitress for the bar area, but the food came out timely. Drinks were slow. Food seemed to be mostly frozen food that came out of the frier. The grilled fish came out dry and bland.

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans. And I would go here for dinner everytime I visited New Orleans. But while it was still okay. The overall place has gone down. The menu used to be amazing with really great food options. Now the menu is basically a bar-food menu. Mostly sandwiches and generic appetizers. The food was still good. But my wife and I had a burger and a pork po-boy. Not exactly the gourmet menu it used to be. The bar is still great and the bartender makes great cocktails. But the food just isn’t what it was. I don’t think I will be going back here on my next trip to the French quarter. This was my last dinner at the Bombay club.

Great happy hour menu, very affordable and food was delicious. Had the short rib poutine and Bombay chips , beers were $3 and French 76 was $5. Sat in courtyard area , very quiet and surrounded by greenery .

Breakfast was DELISH, especially the Bananas Foster french toast! Service was great; kudos to Tory. Morning of Mardi Gras weekend was nice and quiet. Restaurant was a bit chilly.

We ate here yesterday and it was the worst dining experience that I’ve had in New Orleans. It was the Friday before Mardi Gras, which is a hard day to find a table (we had booked 6 weeks out and this was the only place that had availability.). When we arrived, we were told that their tables were taking longer than they expected and that they would be seating us outside. It was 44 degrees and as such the patio was completely empty (as obviously no one wanted to sit outside in that weather). We said absolutely not and they told us it would be 40 minutes to sit indoors. We waited about thirty and they finally sat us. At the beginning of the meal, the manager said she would be our waitress and took our order. Two full hours then went by before they brought us one bite of food and when they did it wasn’t great: the boudoin balls were cold, the gumbo was more like stew. Our waitress disappeared and was replaced with a guy who I think worked at the bar. Definitely will steer clear in the future.

What a shame! A beautiful wood paneled lounge with nice jazz music but the food does not live up to its name. Bombay makes me think of great Indian cuisine however there were only two somewhat Indian dishes. My husband had one and it was close to inedible, eating less than half as is was over spiced and over salted. As for my hamburger, it was also over salted. The cocktail menu was also disappointing with my husband’s mock tail being very unappealing. With such a nice venue they could do more and perhaps revamping their menu.

The service is the only good thing about this place, our waitress was upbeat but when the food came I saw why there’s so many open reservations available. The shepherds pie was more like a soup and have very little flavor along with the beef and mushroom pie when seemed to use the exact same gravy mixture. The meat inside was good but it was extremely overpriced for the subpar food we received.

Food was mediocre. Cocktails were terrible- weak and nowhere up to par with any of our previous experiences in neighboring restaurants. If you must drink, drink neat or the wine/beer! Music was ok and the waitress was very nice. I would not recommend this restaurant- we wanted a restaurant with good jazz music as we have kids that we can’t take to the better jazz clubs due to age restrictions. Next time I would book Preservation Hall for music and go to a better restaurant.

We arrived at our designated reservation time and were seated promptly. We ordered our meals and an appetizer. After a period of time, our server returned to tell us that of the 7 menu items...only 3 were available tonight (Christmas). Of course, none of the selections we made were available. We received our food after a wait, long but not unreasonable, and we did not get the appetizer until after we were finished eating. Not a great Christmas meal experience.

The sign on the door says “open 4pm” we arrived at 6pm and almost half of the entrees were sold out. Food was ok. Nothing super interesting to write home about. Same for the service, it was also average.

The hostess was not very forthcoming and sat us at the table right by the entrance, which looked like the worst spot in the place. When I make a reservation and the restaurant isn’t crowded, I’d think my party would be seated someone better. After our initial interaction with the lousy hostess, we were ready to be disappointed with our experience, but our server was amazing! We weren’t aware that dinner was not served on Sundays in the late afternoon but she was able to speak to the kitchen and hook us up with the entrees we wanted. The food was delicious! Three out of six of us had the fish with pesto and almost licked our plates clean it was so good! Others in our party had the burger and gumbo, which they enjoyed too. We tried a few appetizers (the chips and charcuterie platter), which were good as well. So thankful our server made it into a wonderful night out!

My wife and I went to the Bombay Club for Thanksgiving. They offered a full turkey dinner with all the trimmings. I can honestly say, the food was awful. The turkey tasted like it was delivered there by some cafeteria caterer. Very salty and looked like a cold cut sliced thick. The trimmings such as the ‘green bean casserole’ was nothing more than some string beans on the plate covered with a white glob of something. For a bar, the drinks were also bad. My gin and tonic had flat tonic water and no lime or lemon. My wife ordered a drink advertised as vodka, lemon juice and fresh berries. There was one lonesome crushed berry in her drink. I would stay away from this place. Better food is found at any diner.
