We were so happy with our choice for a Thanksgiving meal. The service was excellent. We love the hidden gem location of the Bombay. The food never disappoints.
It’s a great looking place and probably good for some beers to watch the game. The pictures on Open Table suggest it’s a nice dinner venue and it’s not. It’s a bar, with a bar menu. The drinks were weak, the gumbo was barely lukewarm, and disappointingly dull. The Brussels sprouts were good. We had one attentive server and the rest were meh, one was cranky. Can’t blame folks for being meh right now, as things are understaffed, but cranky is no fun. Cannot recommend this spot.
Went back to New Orleans specifically for the Bombay Club. Food was lacking, service slow. NO JAZZ!!!!!!
Will go back in the future because our previous experiences were so good. Hope staffing is better next time.
We got no service
Why can’t I rate 0 stars?!
Terrible service, rude hostess, waiting 30 minutes without a waiter even showing up to get drinks. Wrote email to establishment and have yet to receive a response. Will never return
Menu was limited. They were to have live music but after a while a person showed up with a trumpet.
There was no food before 4 pm and after 10 pm. The ambience was super slow on Halloween night. The lighting was super bright in certain area and some area is super dark. The drinks were good though.
When we originally walked in we almost turned around and left because it seemed too high class for our night but so glad we stayed. Food was excellent! Great vibe. A little slow service but that seems to be everywhere right now due to staffing problems.
The pretzel was divine.
Great food! Under staffed due to Covid but very apologetic and accommodating. Everything we had was delicious. Highlights were the hummus, crab croquettes, brussel sprouts, and the gumbo! Brownie was excellent.
The food and cocktails were outstanding. Best burger in New Orleans! Ambiance is nice but on the night we were there the music was just a trumpeter who was not on par with the musicians you expect to hear in New Orleans.
Probably the best cocktails we had in the city. There's a little courtyard behind the bar where you can hang if you are not quite ready to rub elbows with the public just yet. Otherwise, the bar is a beautiful spot for a dimly-lit, cool experience.
Note - We did not order food.
Mike was an excellent bartender and server. All of his suggestions were perfect.
A great time.
We arrived for our reservation to be told they were closing in 15 minutes, so we were not seated or served. We were also not spoken a single other word. So we have no idea why the listed hours said they were closing at midnight but they actually closed at 10pm. We were turned away and walked outside to regroup. While making our next steps, more people arrived and they walked out angry because they were never acknowledged for walking in. We told them what we were told. They said they were not even spoken to at all.
Service (Gavin) was great. We always have a good time at Bombay Club. Brussels sprouts were fantastic.
The Bombay Club has never disappointed us. I hate to
Love the Bombay Club!
We had such great service & delicious food. It was such a lovely atmosphere. Definitely a hidden gem & the perfect respite from the French Quarter.
😍😍 you will not regret!
My Family and I Enjoyed our brunch at the Bombay club! The Kitchen Manager and Sous Chef made sure we enjoyed our meal!
Unfortunately, because this restaurant has just recently re-opened, they have very few staff and a very limited menu. It’s basically just bar food and appetizers that are available. I was very sad because I have loved this restaurant for years and returning was less than satisfactory. I would give them a chance again in the future, but right now they need some time to get things up and running again.
It’s not the same Bombay club. It had been one of our favorite places to have brunch, post-Covid. Now the menu is very small and the food and cocktails weren’t what they used to be. So bummed!
Very classy and chill, really should be the standard for nightlife in NOLA. Me and the wife will definitely be making this a regular stop on our future NOLA itineraries.
Very slow service, drinks take a very long time to come out. They have a few appetizers which were okay, not a large menu. Only good thing was the live music
This was a fine dining establishment in the past. Now it’s a bar with bar food.
Just go. Trust me
Well done for just reopening, limited menu but good
Great service and best burger in New Orleans
Our experience at The Bombay Club was great! Our server Shanna was awesome, the food was great and the music level was perfect for the better part of the evening. Unfortunately, at one point they were messing with the sound levels in the room and it got uncomfortably loud. They finally got the sound levels correct and it was pleasant from that point forward. My wife and I like to be able able to have a conversation while we are eating and it got too loud to do that at a certain point. Overall our experience was great and we will be back at The Bombay Club when we visit New Orleans again.
The food and drinks were wonderful as always, and the music that night was so great! Casmé was a delightful singer. Hope to be back soon!
It was very nice, service was great, music was very good. We loved the atmosphere!! The food was really goo, also!!
Dinner menu wasn’t available.
Favorite restaurant in New Orleans!
Super fun atmosphere
We were sat at the table of our choosing (in a booth where you can close the curtains) and tried multiple items off the menu. As it was Fat Tuesday, we did not have expectations of stellar service but we ended up having some of the best food and service of our lives. Everything was spectacular.
Amazing food for a “ bar bites “ restaurant . Quiet place to eat in the French quarter even on fat Tuesday. Excellent service friendly people and a very comprehensive bar
Great food. Great ambiance. Love.
Limited menu but the food is very good. Upbeat jazz music in an English Pub was a little off but it is New Orleans.
Great drinks, service and food!
The ambiance is probably one of the BEST in New Orleans! The private feel of our little, romantic booth was amazing and our waitress was phenomenal! If my review was solely dependent on the drinks we ordered and ambiance, i would have given the place 5 stars across the board! However, the food was SO salty. I ordered what would be the shrimp and grits and my boyfriend ordered the burger. I couldn’t eat half of my dish, because it was that salty. Now, i love my salt. I’m from MS where we put salt on our salt, then fry it. If i have to stop eating a dish, because there’s too much salt, there’s a problem. My boyfriend said his burger was on the salty side, but not nearly as bad as mine. He enjoyed what he ordered! Other than that one complaint, this place is Amazing!!
