Great Indian food, friendly service. We arrived very early during a week day, so could not really enjoy the atmosphere.

Appetizer of chaat samosa and galouti kabab were very good. However, all entrees - chicken tikka masala, lamb kofta curry and chicken biriyani were exceptionally salty to the point that you could not eat more than a teaspoon of it. The paalak paneer was very good however.

Not sure what has happened here, may be change in management, but the service was absolutely awful for a less than half-filled room. The food isn't good enough to overcome the lack of service or appearance.

We dined here on a Friday night and it became really crowded once 7:30 PM rolled around. It was noisy ( a group was having a really good and loud time as the wine flowed) but the great good food and service outweighed that negative. We each ordered an entree and had another meal to take home. This place is far superior to our usual Indian restaurant in Madison. (My husband who has traveled to India several times agrees with this assessment.) Check it out!

My friend and I went out of our ways to visit the Bombay Bistro based on the excellent OpenTable reviews (best Indian in N.NJ evidently). Regrettably, both of us were disappointed by our lunches there. While the quality of the buffet was generally decent, the selection was limited to a smallish number of Americanized favorites (tandoori chicken, curry chicken, basmati rice, etc). We were expecting more. Additionally, we didn't really love the decor of the restaurant. The front area is neat, but the rear of the restaurant is oddly designed with cheesy signage above the open kitchen. Bottom line: likely a reliable choice for local takeout basic Indian food, but definitely not worth the 30 min drive for friend and me.

Very Americanized version of Indian Food. Having just moved to Short Hills from NYC, I was hoping to find a good Indian restaurant. This was not it. Food had no flavor or personality to it. The chicken tasted as though it was boiled and placed into some stock curry. We'll keep looking elsewhere.
