Food lacked flavor and service could be better… expensive dining for what you get
It was a great time. The only issue —-they didn’t record us being there for our reservation and points.
The drinks were so slow, apparently they had a mixology class happening and the bartender couldn’t get drinks out. Dinner was sub par, oysters, and other appetizers were good. Entrees were off a bit. The filet medallions were store bought with gravy on them. Over cooked. Ribs were tough and not great flavor, shrimp scampi was boring, not a lot of flavor.
The place is beautiful and with the right chef in place and another bartender.
Server lovely , food so bad . Nachos appetiser made with fake cheese out of a jar - the really bad type . Couldn’t believe it . One salad good, other terrible, pizza was awful as was soup ( out of a can ?) and bean burger was bad too . Wings and tacos were ok .
Waiter was very nice as was patio although it faces the parking lot .
It was supposed to be a night out with friends. No where on open table did they tell us we would be coming during trivia night. They called to confirm the reservation, could have told us then. The food was nothing special. The area is turning into a fun location, but the restaurant was disappointing. Our server forgot out us a few times, we had to go and find her…. Then she messed up our bill.
The interior and exterior were amazing and has sooo much more potential
Our experience at The Boiler Room was great! I wish I took more pics instead of videos. The crab dip was so good! I would highly recommend the rack of lamb. It was cooked to my specifications (medium well), and did not disappoint. The drinks were tasty too! I wish we didn’t live so far, so we could have enjoyed more. Certainly a hidden gem!
The drinks were good. The crab dip was mediocre. The catfish special was a hit! We loved the patio dining.
Great meal outside before a concert next door.
Had a wonderful evening dinner. Enjoyed the atmosphere both inside & outside. The food was delicious and came out very timely. Enjoyed conversations with the bartender Jason along with a variety of some very well made libations!! My husband enjoyed the Drunken Clams and the crabcake!
brisket pizza was not a winner. meat was chewy. Caesar salad dressing was watery.
Great service. Nice atmosphere. Our server Daisy was wonderful. Food was good, not outstanding. I will go back.
This was our first time there and we were pleasantly surprised. Of course we rode right past it because of the hidden location which also made it even better. I gave 4stars for the food only because I didn’t care for the crab soup, but my salad and his meal was really good.
We took my husband here for Father’s Day. I made a reservation and was seated 15 minutes earlier than the reservation. The outdoor and indoor decor was absolutely amazing. I loved the exposed brick, the high ceilings, and the overall industrial look of the restaurant.
The place didn’t seem too crowded inside, but I could tell there were more people than they’re probably used to servicing. We ordered the nachos only to discover they were completely sold out of the nachos, fish, and lamb. As a replacement we ordered the calamari, which was mediocre at best. The time between our appetizers and entrées seemed exceptionally long. The food wasn’t hot when it arrived, and it was just average. We ordered the crab cakes, brisket pizza, mushroom pizza, and fries. The crab cakes was decorated with aioli, but a basic brown gravy was drizzled over the mashed potatoes. My husband said the flavors didn’t compliment each other. The balsamic glaze that topped the mushroom pizza was over powering and it didn’t have enough cheese. The best thing was the brisket pizza; however, the brisket was barely noticeable.
There seems to be a big variance between the decor and the food.
The food was pretty lack luster and the service not our hostess but the kitchen was entirely too slow with no answers
Nice experience, but they are short staffed due to the pandemic. They also don't have everything that was listed on the menu.
Father’s Day - all was well except for the alcohol level in the drinks. They’re essentially juice, and this is coming from someone who is scared to drink lol
Had the Smokehouse chicken sandwich and calamari both were great.
Food was okay, but not worth the price. The drinks, however, were really good.
We did not have a good experience. The restaurant is SO loud, low ceiling and cement floors are a terrible design. The service was lacking. Our server was new. She was friendly and nice but it took 20 minutes to get water and drinks. And she didn’t check in with us while we waited an hour for our food. The kitchen was backed up and overwhelmed. Some of our food was ok but nothing extraordinary. Not worth it.
Th crab cakes and crab balls are not good. Crab balls tasted like salmon cakes and crab cakes tasted like they had mashed potatoes in them. Oysters did not taste fresh. Had to send 3 steaks back because they were overcooked one was burnt, we asked for steak sauce they didn't have any and decided to send gravy instead. The drinks were probably the best and the wings, pizza and burgers. Overall it was an okay experience. I would only recommend to stick with the drinks, and actual bar food.
Nice atmosphere. Server suggestions were helpful. Food was good.
Everything was perfect
Great hidden gem with great food and service. Please check it out
the food took 1.5hrs to come out, one of the margarita pizzas was super burnt and not even edible and the other margarita pizza was undercooked, doughy and soggy (in the middle). the caesar salad that i ordered for my main course never came out so i told the server to forget it (after telling me numerous times it was coming out). he ended up giving me the salad to go and taking that and the burnt pizza off the check. the drunken clams were delicious and was probably the only thing i enjoyed. also took 30-40 mins to get refills on soft drinks. the place was nearly empty as well. they did have a catastrophe in the kitchen but we weren’t told anything until 1.5hrs when we had asked where our food was. all in all, spent 2/2.5hrs and got soup, clams and burnt/undercooked pizza. definitely come here if you have lots of time. it was 730pm when we had arrived so leaving around 10 was definitely not our goal as we thought it would be a semi-quick meal (since no one ordered full entrees).
Had the veggie bowl from their brunch menu, it was amazing. My daughter had the cannoli pancakes which she enjoyed as well. Large portions- very flavorful.
Our waiter, Sven, was fantastic. Total pro!
The food was good but the service was terrible. We waited for 45 min for food and there were only 2 other tables with customers at lunch. Salads and tacos came with ingredients missing. They also forgot our drinks and appetizers and didn’t clear our plates that were sitting empty until we called them over. All the employees wore masks but most kept them on their chins. They even came to the tables without masks. Service really need improvement. But - the atmosphere was great. Love the vibe.
Food was over cooked, claims that were recommended by bartender were over done, burger was burnt.
Crab dip and pan seared tuna were great. Server was nice.
Drunken clams and crab cakes were great. Our server was nice.
The ambience, food, drinks, and service was phenomenal
They must have been understaffed because everything took forever. Ordered a drink before the food arrived and it came out with the check. Refill of waters took about 10-15 minutes, and overall food was sub par. Calamari was soggy and cold, steak tips for the price you pay you get 4 total and the sauce tasted like something scraped off the bottom of the grill. Crabcake was amazing, though. May give it another try, heard the pizza is great.
It was lovely. From the food to the service. Our waiter Tim was lovely and I’ll definitely request him again. The only thing I had a quip about was the calamari was too heavily breaded and not seasoned. Not sure if it was rushed out bc I put it in to go. But otherwise all the food we tried was amazing. Will definitely be back.
There are not enough people working at the Boiler Room. Only one waiter on the patio. Drinks came quickly. Waiter was trying very hard to keep peace. We liked him. Took an hour before appetizers came. Another 30 minutes for the dinner entrees to come. We got there just before 8 and didn’t get our dinners until 9:30, food was decent but everyone was exhausted after a long week.
Really wonder if they are ready to operate in full capacity.
Other than that, it was a nice night to be outside.
So fun! Awesome location.
Good open, urban, post industrial setting. Kind and pleasant staff. Hopefully they are just re-emerging from the Covid fog and will continue to improve. We will definitely go back again to support the effort, and will have beer and light fare instead of dinner entrees and cocktails. Charred oysters were quite good.
The place is beautiful and convenient if you're going Axe throwing :)
We sat outside since the weather is still not too hot and it was so pleasant and comfortable. We had the broiled oyster as app- they were salty. I ordered the seared scallops, which were ok- the scallops themselves were bland. I had a pina colada- taste was very artificial- I didn't like it, but managed to drink most of it.
Great atmosphere, phenomenal food, amazing staff!
Food and service were great.
