Overall good but the drinks were very late in coming and 1/2 the entrees were cold.
The staff was fantastic and the food was remarkable. I will definitely be back again.
We had a party of 4 and were seated immediately as we had a reservation. (Recommended) The service was prompt and polite. The food was very good. We all ordered something different and there wasn't a complaint on any. I like the brunch offerings as they are varied from hot and spicy to sweet and decadent. I recommend the Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. Very good!
There is nothing more irritating to me than something being listed in a menu and is not accurate. I ordered a Salmon Benedict, and on the menu, it said Hollandaise. It came out and was fire engine red. They clearly added spice or siracha peppers. When I said I could not eat that, I asked for regular Hollandaise as was listed on the menu, and I was told they could not make it. So I tried to order a salad with Green Goddess dressing on it. I asked if it was in fact, green goddess, and was told they added serrano peppers to it. Make whatever you want as the Chef of a restaurant, but accurately describe it on the menu. It was a very disappointing experience, and the two managers stood at the hostess table directly behind our table watching the whole thing unfold, and not once did we get a visit from them. I won't return.
Always enjoy the Boiler House and it’s our “goto” when out of town guests arrive.
Brought out of town work mates. Food was a little different from last time. Disappointed that the food and beer menu had changed. No gabritto and the bubbling Swiss was difficult to spread. Will give it another try soon.
The food is amazing!!! We each had our own meal and all had passed around our plates and not one meal was better than the next. They were all amazing and delicious. Also our waitress Lauren was incredibly attentive and gave excellent customer service.
Got there early for our reservation and was seated right away. But the service was slow. We both had filet mignon one was just right the other over cooked. There were no condiments on the table. Salt and pepper were definitely needed for the salad that had little taste. Said they had a rush due to a concert but I would think they should have been prepared for that!
Food was overpriced and overwhelming. Waitress seemed uninterested
Brunch with my older brother who has not been to San Antonio in a while.
Th BH always delivers a great experience. Wonderful food, great atmosphere, friendly staff. One of our favs.
It was very nice, reservations were correct, hostess was wonderful, food was good
Good atmosphere in an excellent location. Friendly staff and good options on the menu.
Food and service was great. Not sure if this is an open table issue or boiler house issue..the app ask to confirm if the occasion is special, Birthday, date, etc. I selected special occasion and provided a note with some details. No one from boiler house even mention or brought my note. Why even have the option to add this?
Absolutely fabulous brunch with excellent gluten free options. If I was in Sa Antonio longer would go back for dinner also.
We arrived and there were several open tables on the main level. However when they noted that we were open table they took us upstairs and we were sat at a dingy corner table. The food was not great. The food was not great I had a wedge salad with tenderloin and it was extremely fatty. . Service was very slow. Took over 10 min to have a waitress even approach our table.
They need to light the hallway to the restrooms. People were coming in/out and couldn’t see. One woman ran straight into another one and almost fell.
My husband and I tried this restaurant for the first time. I will say they had a few events going on so that may be why we received the service we did. It definitely felt as though the events were getting more attention than normal tables. The food was excellent but took longer than was expected. We will give it another shot but I hope for better service next time.
We first stopped into The Boiler House for lunch and we loved it so much we went back for dinner the same night with another couple! The food was imaginative and delicious, the staff was professional and friendly and the ambiance is lovely. The braised short ribs at lunch were amazing! Every bite was delicious at both meals. Try this place!
I have been there for lunch with a friend one time before. I took a date there for Dinner on this trip and
was so romantic and classy, She is into photography and just loved the decor. Food and all Staff were excellent. We had a very pleasant experience, Thanks and Great Job Boiler House.
Fantastic and unique Sunday brunch choices in a beautiful setting. You won't go away hungry.
Had reservations for 6:30 on a Sat and was seated at a high top in the bar area. Thought it would be too loud to talk and that we'd have people from the bar pressed against our table, but noise and crowding were non-issues. They were already sold out of one of the evenings specials by the time we ordered. Food was very good; service was attentive without being obtrusive and we did not feel rushed. Nice and reasonable wine list. Would definitely go back.
To start...kudos to our waiter, Houston! He took such good care of 8 family members! He was helpful in our selections in Beverages and Entrees! Very fine quality in hiring, Houston!
The food is always suburb in taste and presentation. The Stuffed Snapper with the most delicious risotto! Steak cooked to perfection as well as the Osso Bucco Pork Shank which fell off the bone!
Thank you for your hard work! It’s appreciated!
Drinks were great. Food, kinda disappointed along with the service.
Came here with friends. The server was a delight and the food was good.
The food and service were great, did notice they still the ocasional Christmas song playing.
Love the customer service!!!!
Have eaten thier several times. No real fond of the latest menu. Pork shank was excellent. Avocado spread was very salty, had to send back.
We loved the environment, But my Salmon was overcooked & dry and my boyfriends steak he ordered Medium well was very rare. I would still go back and try it again, because it is in a wonderful location at The Pearl and great for people watching.
The music was too loud- felt like we were at a TGIF. The tables and chairs were all very wobbly. There was even a lady next to us that switched out her chair like 7 times! The food was really pricey although it was edible, lacked flavor. Service was lacking. Just really not impressed. Will not be back.
Wonderful food and great service as always!
Great food outside the riverwalk. A little pricy but totally worths it
Justin was our waiter and was fantastic. He is studying to become a sommelier so we had him pick out a pinot grigio. We loved it! The deviled eggs are fantastic. Wish we lived closer!
1. The silver ware wrapped in the napkin was dirty. The server apologized and changed it after we showed the dirty fork.
2. The table is still unstable.
3. Food: the pork belly appetizer was good. But the duck entree which cost 36$ was hard and dehydrated. could be that it was a leftover and was refried or that it was freezer burned. Into worth the money.
4. Will not recommend
The food was underwhelming. Meatballs were dry. Apps were okay. Nicely constructed menu but the food didn’t live up to par.
This is an interesting place with good ambience. The main room is dominated by a very cool, very long bar. The menu is fairly good, as is the food. On the pricey side for what you get
We waited over an hour for our food (spending average $50 per entree) and the restaurant wasn't even full. You'd think the manager would come by and apologize or at least check in, but no. I had to flag someone down because my steak was ice cold. Won't be back!
too loud for a Sunday
This is priced as an upscale restaurant, but the food doesn't meet that level. We had three different entrees -- all average or less in quality than other comparably priced restaurants. The service was excellent, however, but the menu can use a going over and the dishes re-priced more realistically.
Service and food were stellar. The ribeye was superb and cooked the way medium rare should be, red center pink around edges with a great sear. The lobster Mac and cheese was amazing; highly recommend this side!
