The Boil Waverly

Saturday 4:00pm - 12:00am
Sunday 4:00pm - 11:00pm
My waitress wasn’t to friendly or accommodating.. and my crab cake was a slight bit burnt. I couldn’t send it back because the waitress never came back to check up on me or bring the straw that I asked for. This is my very first time being a bit disappointed after several visits to this Resturante. I don’t remember my waiters name but she was an Asian girl if that helps.
Customer Service is always a pleasure. Food was sooooo good.
Everything was great but the service not sure who was my server but the Initial person didn’t check on us as if everything was ok she only took our order down and tended to everyone else around us but us the 2 Nd woman even the busy boy was more curtious
My food was subpar. I went to the Chrystie location and had a wonderful experience, so I took my family to the Waverly location. Nothing that I ordered was good. Fried oysters were not good. At some point I bit into it and it was so rubbery and gristle I had to spit it into a napkin. The chicken was not seasoned. I ordered the wings with the dry rub. Those wings should have been called "no rub". Terrible. The gumbo tasted like smothered chicken and gravy. Yes that is right. Not gumbo, but smothered chicken and gravy over rice and onions. Hmm if I wanted soul would, I would have gone to a soul food restaurant. I didnt eat the gumbo and when I complained I was told they would make another one because it was the end of my meal. Which we all know the only thing they would do is to take a scoop from the whole pot that is already made. Poor service. My niece ordered the chicken fingers. They had less taste than a Wendy's chicken patty.
Terrible food at this location. This was a bust!
I wish they mad reviews that gave NEGATIVE stars. I would give NEGATIVE 5 stars.
The food needed a bit more seasoning but overall it way good . I had crawfish for the first time I personally did not like it but my friends loved it ! 😊
Was surprised they only took cash
Doesn't match The Boil in Chinatown. Atmosphere poor. Food, the same as in Chinatown, did not taste as fresh. The sauce was short of that of Chinatown, in quantity and flavor. Service was caring but could not make up for the negatives.
As always everything was amazing!!! Have new recruits that will make this there normal stop
Food and servers were great.
Definitely worth every dollar
As usual the food was great but our server was very rude and seemed like she was overwhelmed. When we arrived the restaurant was not busy so we were able to be seated before our reservation time. The other service staff members were pleasant when they assisted us with bibs, gloves, and clean up. Overall we had a great time but I recommend the management keeps an eye on the staff's hospitality.
Good is fantastic! Can never go wrong here! I’ve been here more than 2x and o still keep coming back. Never fails! Plus the ambiance is so nice. I love it here
I truly enjoyed my experience, I had a challenging day prior to coming to your establishment and you made it all better😊 The Service also touched my heart in regards to the way my young son was treated by the staff, very attentive.
God bless you all
We had the crab legs in their special seasoning sauces and couldn’t believe how flavorful they were! The crab cake also had a lot of crab meat in it. Would recommend this place and will definitely come again.
The Boil food is amazing. The seasoning and sauces are great and the staff are super personable for the most part
Boil was amazing! Their secret sauce is popping! The lobster and king crabs tend to not soak up the sauce , but the snow crab legs is amazing and the shrimp as well.
I love the boil, every time I go there it gets better
The food was amazing! Our waitress was a dud. She was so unenthusiastic and never came around to check on us. Not only that, I asked that they bring out a birthday dessert with a candle for my friend's birthday, they did it for 2 other parties but us. There were others waiters there that were nice, ours couldn't care less.
Great Cajun-spiced shellfish in a fun, welcoming spot. We ordered shrimp, crawfish and king crab with the old bay rub and “Boil Sauce “ on the side. Everything was super fresh, and the waitstaff goes out of their way to make everyone happy. Love this place!!!
great food & great service. never disappoints
We ordered the Dungeness crab and lobster with a side of fries and corn. The food was definitely flavorful but nothing out of the ordinary. I had a lot of fun cracking my lobster and getting my hands dirty, but my friend was not. Just something to keep in mind. Service was mediocre. Definitely worth checking out but not a repeat restaurant, at least for me.
We loved the food and eating with our hands was a new experience.
It’s a trendy restaurant
I have been here so many times. The food is fantastic however the shrimp is sold with the head on (FYI) the service was/is great. I bit pricey but so worth the money! The crab legs are consistant meaning i have never had any that was over cooked or didnt taste fresh we come here once a month and everyone i recommend this place to loves it as much as we do! If they offered points for all the loyal customers i referred 🤔my food would be free😆 gotta try the boil house sauce with the medium dry rub 🤤 deliciousness! U NEED TO MAKE RESERVATIONS and this is a CASH ONLY ESTABLISHMENT !!
You go for a boil and you get a boil, tried the crawfish and shrimp combo and the flavor was on point. Their special spice blend has a good kick. Went for the Spicy and not Fire since Fire has ghost peppers mixed in and wasn't feeling that adventurous. They give you rubber gloves and bib which definitely helps haha. Got a friendly instructional course on how to eat crawfish from a waitress. Fun times.
Dinner was perfect
Amazing absolutely amazing!!!!! I would definitely recommend also I come here once even twice a month
The waiters were polite and we were served our food pretty quickly. Parking was good in this area for a Saturday night.
My husband and I went for my birthday something different, has we walked it the service was good we got seated right away. The waiter came by to take our order, explain how it works and everything from that point on was good. Yes we will be returning.
I really loved this reastaurant. The authenticity was notable! Best seafood you can find in New York! I will be back again, again, and again.
The best seafood in all of New York
The Boil is very consistent and always a delicious treat. They have a great beer selection and get the food out very quickly.
Always a good time
Farewell dinner for parents
Great food - simple and tasty
We were actually a party of 4 and was charged a 20% tip without being informed by any of the multiple servers who also cane by several times asking if my husband wanted another beer but never bringing it. The restaurant was not crowded so ???? Further our sides did not come out with the meal and we had to ask several times.
Good for food, bar, beer, seafood and people! I will go again!
The Boil Special & Garlic Butter sauces are always the bomb - the size of the seadfood itself was relatively small maybe due to end of the season. But the host could’ve been accommodating and SMILE. She didn’t seem so happy to work there unfortunately.
Great dinner and service
