The Boil Waverly
The food here is absolutely delicious however, for $35 each for a pound of crablegs and a side of corn, I was NOT full and left frustrated that The Boil gives such small portions. They should at least include potatoes and corn in every pound rather than every two pounds. It is ridiculous that one would have to spend $60 minimum to get corn and potatoes included. On top of that, they charge $4 for extra sauce (same price as a side of corn). That is a rip off and ridiculously overpriced, especially considering that they give barely enough sauce for two clusters. After spending $80+ with my partner, we still had to got to the store to get a snack to feel full. We eat normal portions of food. If I pay that much, I want to leave satisfied. Period.
The food is so good.... the place is nice and the people are very friendly
I am a regular! That is how you know it’s good!
I Always have a good time at the Boil! Food is amazing and drinks are strong & tasty. Going back soon!
Make sure you use open table to reserve your table. I would even say do it a day or two ahead. Great place to eat. A little bit pricey and they only take CASH!. Overall great dining experience.
Came to the boil with my son and my mother. They have great options for both kids and adults. As always I choose the “Boil sauce” cause it’s the right amount of spicy.
Awesome as usual!!! Great staff!
Love this place, it’s one of my favorites!
The girl who takes the table was a bad person and very pedantic. Otherwise very good service and excellent food.
Honestly, it's a great place to eat seafood. It's outstandingly expansive but it's worth it. I ordered a king crab legs with pasta, it was a bit salty but very tasty. I would definitely go there again.
Everything from the server to the food was an epic experience.
The food is to expensive and the gratitude that was included in the bill was to high!! To be eating out of plastic bag & paper plates.,
I usually go to The Boil at Chrystie street so I decided to try this location. Bigger spacing and nice servers but for some odd reason I feel like the food was not fully cooked. I ordered shrimp and clams and I feel like they could have kept the seafood in a little longer. For now, I’ll stick to the Chrystie street location.
Great experience as always !
This place is great for groups - there were 8 of us. The food is delicious. It requires effort to peel and eat the seafood you'll be getting but it is way worth it. Can't go wrong with The Boil. I'll be visiting again for sure!
Cash Only place there's an ATM at the main entrance. I loved the food with the whole she bang or special i think it is called here.
I'll be back.!!
I love the food and the way everything is set up so you don’t get messy, dope restaurant
The lobster and shrimp were delicious. The calamare was too spungy and cold could cook more . over all i dont like plastic utensil to eat with in a restaurant and most of all the food comes in a plastic bag on the table. I was expecting maybe they would put it on some kind of platter . so with that daid i dont tjink i will go back there ..i would recommend a friend nut its mot my style of eating
Everytime I've visited the Boil it has been great from the food to the service I only had one small problem and that was when I needed to use the bathroom on Monday when I was there due to the fact I'm in a wheelchair for now the door didn't close to the handicap stall but I was still able to use it though...But other than that the Boil is a great place!!!
Overall it was a Great! Experience i came here with my girlfriend for her birthday. Nice setting, good food nd good service. Only let down was there was a bus boy that was constantly watching us nd coming over to check when we we’re finished with our plate. So it felt alil as if we was being rushed, but other than that we was very pleased.
It was nice and I will go back
-The service is seriously lacking attention and didn’t warrant the 20% they automatically tack on your bill.
-The food was good.
Will always come and eat at The Boil. Especially the Waverly location.
The food was very good, the service was wonderful I will come back again.
Chosen by our youngish daughter for a birthday celebration, it filled the bill. But speaking of the bill, they take CASH ONLY but nowhere on their website does it mention this, nor on Open Table when making the reservation. Seeing as it is a VERY expensive place -- and it caters to groups -- one would have to hit the bank to arrive with the cash needed. So it cost me, and most every other host there, an extra five bucks to use their ATM (fees to the machine and to the bank). NOT GOOD. Also, in this day and age, one suspects that they are cash only for the wrong reasons. It doesn't seem to lower their prices any (it's all paper and plastic, disposables) and it certainly is a very annoying problem for the customers. Two wrongs -- they should announce it beforehand, and they should drop the practice.
Also, I think they should dump the bags and use pots instead.
The food is always great! I always get the crab legs with The Boil sauce..drinks are also good.
We were served very quickly!
You have to work a bit to eat the most delicious seafood. But it makes it interesting and fun. As a starter while you wait for your bags ( literally, bags of seafood) I would highly recommend Cajun fries... mmmm... It was my third time, will go again for sure.
Our waitress Jennifer was awesome. Enjoyed our time.
They ONLY accept CASH! no credit cards... ATM on site.
Snow crab legs. Get the snow crab with sauce on the side. Amazing!! One of the better boils We’ve ever been to.
The food was delicious and the waiter was very professional
The concierge staff was very hospitable to me and my guests. They accommodated my late and last minute change to my reservations and for that I am grateful to them. The staff was friendly as well, however I felt the our server was not as attentive to our requests. She seemed distracted and when one person ordered a drink, she just went back for the one drink and did not ask for other orders. One person ordered King Crab Legs, she brought back Snow Crab legs. She proceeded to say that King Crab legs was not the order and stated she repeated the order afterwards, which she did not. As a result, we were enthused with her service but we were required to tip her because it was included in our bill.
I will still continue to come to The Boil, despite this one time situation.
Best seafood spot hands down! One of my fav places!
We had a great time as always
We just loved and enjoyed our dinning experience thursday. The Boil is the best Cajun experience in the city. Great food, good service all around. Wish I could eat there daily.
The food was great and the service was excellent! I’ll be going back soon!
My first time going and it won’t be my last!!! Food and service was great. Will return again soon
The staff was awesome and accommodating, the food was amazing. I’m headed back next week
Everything was great! We’re regulars at the Boil. The food is great, the staff are quite friendly given the volume they do their best. I do think the prices could be a tad lower; they serve in plastic bags with no silverware, I am sure the cost is quite low. Their bar needs work, we ordered bloody mary and it tasted like pepper juice lol
