The Boil - Jersey City
They were very friendly and courteous. I asked that they sang HBD to my BFF and they did they don’t have cake but they made a cute shot glass. The food was wonderful very flavorful I would definitely be returning. The parking sucks but that’s the price you pay for city type dining. Also there is a gratuity fee of 20 percent so if you go assure your bring the funds for that as well. Other than that it was outstandingly fun…….
The food and experience did not disappoint. The Boil has been my “Go To” spot for a great seafood experience.
Food was amazing. Service was constant. Ambiance was great. Will come back when I have the money.
We had a casual dinner with the family.
Excellent place, loved the food and service.
Food was alright, sauce wasn't as spicy as described and the bag def needed more of it. The king crab was good. Probably wouldn't go again though.
Thoroughly enjoyed my experience at The Boil. Food and service were great. Enjoyable atmosphere.
Good no Complaints
Had a blast! Food was excellent and perfectly seasoned. Wait staff was attentive and observant. Didn’t like the mandatory 20% hospitality fee though.
Simply delicious combos , dope, beachy atmosphere and you can make a reservation/ pay with a card in comparison to the LES location. The boil sauce is a must!
It was wonderful but I should of been able to bring my service dog in with me. I had to eat outside.
Very unique experience. Put on your bibs and gloves and dig in. Table sharing style- order by the pound and choose your sauce.
Great night out with the family. Staff were friendly and on top of making sure we had everything we need. And made sure we all were enjoying our meal and were having a good time.
Food and cocktails were excellent!
I would definitely recommend to all my friends and family.
Had an amazing time at the boil! Food is always freshly served! Definitely recommend this spot if you want delicious seafood.
It was well worth the 2 hour drive! The service was great and the food was even better!
Fresh seafood, nice ambiance, friendly service. Parking will be hard though.
Let's just say the food is never a disappointment. I'm there every 2 weeks. The people are nice and love atmosphere. This is the only place I go for seafood boil. Hands down the best to me
Always great food. First time at JC location, I think it is my favorite!!!!
I love the Boil! The food is SO good, the atmosphere is so much fun, and the waiters are all helpful and friendly. This was my second time going and I'm just in love with the place.
Very nice and polite staff and the food is amazing. Definitely going back again
we alway enjoy the boil and today was not different from our past wxperience. one thing I notice was the size of shrimp and alaskan crab seems smaller than usual. but overall, the taste, service and attention is still the same.
I love this place! It's my second time coming here and this time I went to the bar first where I was greeted by really kind and helpful bartenders. I couldn't recall the beer I liked the last time I visited and they really tried to help me find it and even gave me new options to try out! They weren't rude and seemed to enjoy helping me out which I really appreciate. When it was time for my reservation, we were seated in a minute and our order was taken promptly. Each time I've visited, servers were amazing and willing to give recommendations if asked or if they knew it was your first time, which helps a lot! Definitely recommend the house sauce on anything you purchase (mild to any spice level, it still tastes amazing!) Another server will come every so often to fill up your water so you never have to personally ask for a refill. Everything is reasonably priced, I usually get the Snow Crab with Shrimp (substitute for shellfish) for $40 and share it with a friend! You easily get satisfied to full, add on a beer and you're coming out there with the biggest smile on your face. Happily recommend this place to everyone!
Friendly staff and excellent service
This was our first time eating at The Boil. We all enjoyed our meal and would eat here again!
The hospitality at the restaurant was excellent. The service is 1st class. The portions of the food was just right, served hot and delicious.
Food is always good, service was excellent. Parking is usually an issue but we were able to find something extremely close
It was a great experience I love the food everything was great 😍
Food did not taste good. Calamari, overcooked. Crab Cake had an unpleasant taste and was mostly filler. Gumbo was fine. Beer was fine. My wife had lobster roll. We made with strange sauce.
A complete rip off!!! If you are looking to enjoy a seafood boil, this is not the place. Went for a friend’s birthday and there idea of a boil is 2 types of seafood and 1 piece of corn and a red potato split in 4 pieces. We ordered the King crab legs and it came with shrimp…. I inquired with the waitress if that would be enough for 3 people and she said yes. The ‘boil’ bag showed up and we just laughed out loud. The staff was very kind, but the experience was awful
Always Love It!!!!!
Great ambiance and a fun activity for a group!
The waitress was outstanding, but bartender had trouble getting the drinks right. Food was OK. Pretty expensive considering what we received.
My experience here from day one was so good! Made the reservation with the Manager I believe, Vincent, since we were originally a party of 9 and he was so kind and professional on the phone. The day of our dinner they were very accommodating, and on point! Customer service A+! They helped to make our birthday dinner so special for my sister, from the host Lionna, (sorry if I misspelled her name!) to our waitress Malina. I plan on coming back and definitely recommend it. And yes, the food is so good!!! Shrimp cocktails, crab cakes, the raw oysters..delish!! I have a place to bring family and friends!
Thank you so much!!!
Had an amazing time for a surprise birthday dinner. The food was amazing!
I love the boil. That evening wasnt their best night. It seems like a staff member was injured in the kitchen which caused them to do " last call" early and the service standards dropped after that. I felt like we were being rushed out for something that had nothing to do with us/ wasnt explained well. I was also misgendered by one of the workers which definitely couldve been handled better. :(
I still love the boil but will go to the ones in NYC instead
Love this place. Feel like you're down the shore. Amazing food
Brought my son here for his birthday. The ONLY issue I had (which isn’t even really and issue) was that we had one server then another and then the first one came back then the second one. It was confusing but they were BOTH AMAZING!!! Food was (as always) superb!!! Drinks were also sublime!!! Overall an excellent experience!!!
20% gratuity is included in the visit. Because of this I assume is the reason why the service was really bad. I left notes here on open table for the restaurant. They read the message and ignored it. I specifically asked them to reach out to me if they cannot accommodate what I was asking for. The waitress was cold and short. The drinks were the worst I’ve EVER had. We will not return to this location again and we now won’t be trying any other location.
Great place to get dirty eating with your fingers, in gloves. Well worth the visit take your time and eat talk and enjoy
Drinks was good, cajun wings were good. That's about it. Everything else was oily and gross.
Slow service... had to ask for everything. My mom
And nephew was almost finished with her crab legs before she received the cracker tool she requested.
Female bathroom was overflowing with paper towels all over the floor, told a staff member and pretty much ignored me.
Our Bill was $600- we could have stayed home and enjoyed much better for way less
