We really enjoyed our visit to Bocuse. It’s always so interesting to hear of the students’ experience. Dining during restaurant week improved the value, though prices were average for the area. We especially liked the fun service “extras” such as cocktails (the smoky manhattan) and ice cream prepared table side. Both were a nice touch. We also loved that the 17% added service charge gets repurposed for student scholarships. A nice visit all around though a tad noisy, even for a late seating.
Great food! Creative and yummmy. Great treat anytime, particularly restaurant week.
A visit to the Culinary Institute is a unique dining experience. The food is exceptional, but what make it so special is the opportunity to interact with the students who are enthusiastic, knowledgeable and professional. This visit was to Bocuse which is my favorite as I love French cuisine.

This was a get together lunch with two of my good friends from college many years ago. We are all lovers of good food and were definitely not disappointed with our experience. We each chose something different so we could taste each other's meals. We hated to see the meal come to an end. Everything was delicious and the students who served us were very knowledgeable and very friendly and helpful. I can't say enough about the whole experience!
Dined at Bocuse several times before, but first time during restaurant week. It was a pleasure to have a varied menu to chose from, which is not always the case during HVRW at other venues.
Food was excellent, but the only comment was that the servers could have been a bit more pleasant.
We are regular customers of Bocuse and always have superb meals there. However, this time it was Restaurant week and was very disappointing. The service was, as usual, wonderful but the food, starting with a surprisingly bland menu, was not up to their usual standards. My salmon was terribly overcooked; appetizer was tasteless. We had taken friends who had never dined there and I had raved about the special table side ice cream. Well, they had the ice cream listed, but we were told it was not for Restaurant Week. Why bother to put it on the menu? Very annoying.
Of course we will return, but never again for Restaurant Week.

I have been to the Bocuse many times, but this time stood out. Everything was outstanding. I had the chicken en vessie, which is a speciality of Paul Bocuse, and it was excellent. What a great value for Retaurant Week.
Enthusiastic servers. Delicious meal. Great company. I felt like we were on a cruise. Wonderful experience.
Another great experience at Bocuse. The students at the CIA do NOT disappoint. Wonderful meal and service and the winter season Prix Fixe is a great deal.
As always,having lunch at the CIA is an uplifting and rewarding experience. The food preparation and presentation is always exceptional. The staff and students Are really great at making you feel welcome.

Servers we’re personable and friendly. Cocktail cart was good but slow (half way through second course). Parking garage was full.
Always a wonderful treat to eat at the CIA. All the restaurants are tops, so it's just a matter of which cuisine you want. Our French dinner at Bocuse was marvelous.
First time to the CIA and could not have made a better choice! The service was spot on and the ice cream made table side for dessert was a show and delicious!
Overall all our dining was very good.
I thoroughly enjoyed my appetizer but feel the leg of rabitt fell short. Not enough spices to be called Moroccan.

The service was extremely slow, and the waitress apologized for this several times. People at the next table who arrived after us were served much faster. The waitress and her colleagues were extremely gracious. The food wAs good but the truffle soup was thin, truffles were tasteless, and it lacked salt. The chicken breast had rubbery skin and gristle. The cheesecake desert was the best thing I ate, delicious.
We always enjoy our visits to Bocuse and come every year during the time the three-course specials are on. The food is always interesting and there's no place else where you get the kind of attentive service that's offered.
The service is wonderful. The servers will answer any question about the menu and about the roles of current students and alums in the dining service.
Fun experience. A little pricey but food quality matches the price.

Celebrated a belated Birthday for a 12-year old that is a "foodie" and is from a family of "foodies"! We all enjoyed the variety of tasty and visually pleasing food!

Excellent over all experience. The food and service as well as the ambiance were exemplary.
The students were very professional and tried really hard.
A really good meal at a really good price - $39 prix-fixe meal with ad-ons came to $56. A real bargain for what you get. Wait staff are students, so still learning, but all really nice kids trying very hard. They're a pleasure. Lovely space, not noisy, just serene.
We had such a great time! Our server Dorothy was absolutely fantastic! She was so nice and helpful and answered all of our questions about the restaurant. The food was so delicious and we hope to go back soon!
They had a special 4 course meal in memory of Chef Bocuse. We went all the way and selected this option in addition to the Chef's choice of paired wines. French onion soup with Champagne, lobster claw with Chardonnay, beef with the best Pinot Noir that has ever touched my lips, and a pineapple soaked cake which was not paired so I asked for a French red dessert wine similar to Port. Best meal I have ever had! Worth every penny. The service was spot on and the atmosphere and decor was lovely as well. We will be back.
A consistently excellent experience. Their precision in how they train their students is remarkable. Both the kitchen and front of the house staff are incredibly professional and responsive. It's great to see tomorrow's chefs in the making.
The setting, friendly and knowledgeable staff, service and of course the food and its presentation were very enjoyable. The pre-fixe menu allows seniors to enjoy a special lunch or dinner out at a reasonable cost - we thank the culinary for offering this option.
One suggestion: It would help if the menu provided more information (regarding sauces, method of cooking, etc.) on the offerings.
This is our favorite CIA restaurant by far.
Wonderful food but the service was horrendous. Must have been a new waitress because we finished our appetizers before the wine was served. She asked us three different times what wine we ordered. Untensils were placed on the table one a time. Some of us were missing forks, some knives. One of the appetizers was served with the dinners. This waitress was totally oblivious. We were glad we went and did enjoy the meal very much
My 16 year old son and I thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Bocuse. We were there for a Tuesday dinner. There were many tempting choices on the prix fixe menu, so choosing was difficult! Everything was exceptionally tasty and well-presented. Fun to be served by the students, knowing that the meal was also prepared by students!
My salad came out after i've finished my entree, it took a while for our wine to come out. Too many moving bodies. The food is delicious.
My experience was amazing and the food was out of this world!
The food certainly looked good, and it tasted OK, but it was missing something. Seasoning maybe? I understand that the restaurant is almost completely run by students, but I paid $130 for 2 appetizers, 2 lunch entrees, and 4 drinks. That is just too much for the quality we received. The service was really good, although we could not find anyone on the floor that could really tell us about what we were eating. We had dinner in Albany the evening before, and for 20 bucks less it blew Bocuse out of the water.
We went for an early lunch and had great food, along with friendly and attentive service. Can’t be beat!

We loved our meal! The service was outstanding as was the food. We had Oysters and beef tar tare to start duck breast and rabbit for entree and the table side ice cream for desert. Each and everything was perfectly prepared with beautiful seasonal vegetables
