The Boatshed La Perouse
No taste in the food. Spending a lot and ordering a lot of hot seafood was not worth it. Terrible.
Charged for table water & holiday surcharge? Waitress should of explained so we could make another choice, get our own water. Coffee was all froth. Waitress clearly wanted to be elsewhere. Price not indicative of good customer service, trading on location
Great food, great service, great location. What more can I say.
Very busy took along time to get served had to asked 4 times where our drinks were glasses were dirty once we received them supposed to replace but they never came back worst service ever
Great location and food. However it took 20 minutes to get anyone to take order & 15 min to get drinks. It was busy but should not take that long. Aside from that I would recommend the venue.
One of my favourite places, very accommodating & always super quick with service .. can’t beat the view & cocktails beautiful! Even my daughters apple juice had a flower for decoration ... love it !
It was a very hot day, and extremely busy, but the service was great and quick. I felt the prawns and crab was a bit salty and not that fresh , maybe due to the heat . I have been there many times and the seafood was always fresh.
Booked online and so quick and easy when we got there. Table service by Lachlan was outstanding, so pleasant. Food servings were a generous size. We ordered kids pancakes and haloumi stack (side of bacon and a poached egg), coffee was nice too. Will definitely be back and would recommend.
Great view, variety of good catering to all palates.
Wrong drink order, food was not hot and the restaurant did not feel clean
The food was amazing and great for value. Will definitely go again soon!
The overall experience was great, but some of the kids service was very poor.
You had 4/5 kids wiping cutlery and it was very hard to get someone’s attention to ask for something. We had ask someone to clear our table after we had finished eating, after an hour.
Luckily we were given a table upstairs on the top deck which was a wonderful surprise and we had a really lovely meal looking at the view. Best visit ever.
(1) We arrive a little early and waited 15 minutes before we were approached by staff. I ordered drinks for which we waited another 10 minutes. The drink order was wrong when received.
(2) Our entree's and main meal was served at the same time. When I complained I was told
"we do not have "entree's" all the food is served when it is cooked"
(3) The fish (flathead fillets) was good however it was served sitting on a pile of hot chips which softened the batter on the underside.
(4) The staff were very pleasant but appeared to be UNTRAINED and were perplexed as to how to handle genuine complaints.
(5)_ In particular the attitude of one of the male "waiters" was, to say the least "truculent".
(6) I was a regular visitor prior to the new ownership and was EXTREMELY disappointed
in my experience
The service was non existent and the manager was rude.
Food was ordinary, not enough variety. Extremely noisy and overcrowded.
Delicious food served quite rapidly and satisfactory.
Great food, reasonable prices. Seafood platter needed more fish instead of hot chips. Sauces were delicious
Seafood platter for two was delicious.
Wait staff polite.
Waitstaff were friendly and attentive. Food was tasty and excellent presentation as expected from the boathouse.
Thankyou for an enjoyable meal.My guest was a first timer and indicated to me that he would return again to dine
I loved the scallops and Sydney Rock Oysters. The prawn linguine was a little over cooked and we did have a small bug in our salad 😳 Loved the location!
Great place to get away and enjoy with family. Food was excellent and drinks were just as good.
Food was really good, prawns were fresh, service was great, attentive staff the whole time, would definitely come back.
Good food and beautiful view, kids Friendly. Will be back soon
We will be back 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
The food all comes at at once, so do a staggered order if you don't want everything at the same time. The view and location were stunning but the service was poor and the hygiene of the plates and cups was questionable. You aren't really choosing this venue for the food or service, it was enjoyable due to the location.
I love this place, I had lunches and breakfast frequently.
Food never disappointing, good presentation menu quite flexible on minor changes and lovely speed doesn’t make you feel in a fast food.
I brought for my bday 3 girls friend booked a table for it.
As usual the staff in very inconsistent some guys smiling and welcoming others won’t even look at you.
Service is poor clearly untrained stuff, to busy laughing and chatting rather then come and check on you or food or drinks.
I’ve always thought I happen in busy times but Monday was very quiet and still have the same feeling.
They’re all lovely young guys although wouldn’t hurt some hospitality basics training.
Anyway just a feedback
Will be back as usual.
Cocktails, wine, food and service......outstanding !!! A great place to spend a Sunday afternoon, celebrating an anniversary and enjoying the great view.
No serviettes, rubbish bowls or utensils were provided with our seafood platters.
Service was extremely poor.
Amazing seafood platter, would definitely recommend
Great spot, friendly staff but the food is average. Prawns were over cooked, and the sauce on the lobster linguine was straight out of a bottle and overpowered the delicate flavour of the lobster. Potted mussels were great.
Overall a good experience with beautiful view. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Was very busy and a bit on the louder side (couldn't be helped) but overall enjoyed the experience and would recommend it. Only negative is the parking situation. Took us about 40 minutes to find parking (on a Sunday).
Great table. Service not the best when it came to seating and ordering but food time was fine
it was a bit disappointing when dining in such an established place that a dress code was not in place.
Was not very nice dining when you are put off your food when you have members of the public who were seated in the restaurant with no shirts on.
Hi we had the seafood platter and it was not as good as the last time as most of the hot food was cold. The taste of the food was fine. When we went there before it was on a week night and it was perfect. I think that on a Saturday evening when the restaurant is fully booked a lot of the hot food is cooked beforehand and sits there for a bit, it is all I can think of. If the chips are cold and they are on the bottom of the plate there is something wrong.
Food and cocktails were great! and great value! However, in times of covid and having to get you own water cups and jug especially when all the cups are stuck together due to heat (from washing) and watching everyone touch them then put them back, I wasn't fond of that. Would be great if smaller groups can sit outside and ocean side like I had requested on the booking but told its reserved for larger groups - we were able to move to a ocean window seat which was still lovely. Would go back.
Been there 6 times, have always loved it, but due to service and treatment, will not be back. Parking took 15mins, just not worth the haste. If it was outstanding wouldn’t mind.
Great location, great staff and the good was amazing and great value for money. Plus - we literally got all of our food within 5 minutes!
Great location, food and cocktails at a reasonable price. Fast and friendly service!
