   We had a great time dinning at the boatman. Food was good, drinks as well, we felt it’s homemade products

   We booked as a group of 10 for lunch. The location of the Boatman is lovely - right on the river. The seating we were given was brilliant as it was outside but under a tented area. The atmosphere was lovely as it was so lovely a sunny and the venue was buzzing with people. The service was a bit slow as they were so busy and the food took a very long time to arrive. However the food was great - lovely portions and great flavour!

   Great dining experience! Good food, vibe and overall experience with such a big group. The team were accommodating from the front of house our lovely waitress! Can’t remember her name but young Mauritian looking girl. Food was delicious and prepared in good time even with such a big group. Gutted to not experience the outside dinning but was limited due to our group size. However looked amazing and fair play to the staff working very hard on an extremely hot day! Will be returning! Only negative is to ensure you have deep pockets and patiences for car parking.

   Excellent location- good food ( presented nicely and full of flavour) - good service- reasonable prices. Definitely will go again!!

   Had an absolutely wonderful lunch on Bank Holiday Monday with my Daughter, Sister in Law and friends. Highly recommend this restaurant 👌 👏

   Table for two in dining room. Large group of 14 or so Australians joined by others sat close by. Excessive noise shouting above each other to be heard made worse by tradional low ceiling. Unable to converse with my partner. Finished starter, noise got worse asked to move. Staff were apologetic and accomodating and we moved to bar. Not so comfortable or intimate but quieter. The Boatman is not a place for intimate dining. Service reasonably good but long delay for main course. Soup and chicken pate delicious. Chicken main ok, sirloin steak ok but required more seasoning. Eton mess.... exceptional great portion. Food and drink prices much higher than we are used to 'up north'. 10% service charge in a pub not expected but we would have tipped that anyway. Pleasant staff, helpful and smiling. However, I detest being addressed as 'Guys' when my partner is clearly female. It's an offensive, flippant, gender specific term to reinforce male domination. You do not hear that phrase in a decent restaurant or hotel.

   Food really average to poor. Staff good. Waste of money Burger terrible. King prawn starter horrible. Roast potatoes horrible. Vegetable back to the 60s. Sardines on toast c grade kids club.

    We turned up early and were shown to our table and quickly ordered drinks and food. The chicken liver pate was delicious but I was disappointed to be served two slices of what looked like pre cut lamb, it definitely didnt looks like it had been cut fresh from the bone. My husband had the chicken was a generous portion and he really enjoyed it. I had the Eton Mess for dessert which was again OK but was 80% cream with a bit of fruit and a ready made meringue nest. Will come again but just felt a little like it was catering for tourists and not providing top quality / fresh Sunday Roasts.
