Location and place is lovely.
I was disappointed with the food this time. The lamb was really fatty and think next time will opt out of the Sunday roast!
Staff and service was good.
Excellent Sunday lunch yesterday - fabulous roast dinners including a lovely vegetarian roast. Amazing desserts . Staff faultless as always welcoming, helpful , and well presented . Even found candle to decorate daughters desert for her birthday . Timings perfect . The perfect dog friendly pub on the river - that’s why we keep coming back !
Went very last minute on a Saturday evening, got seated at a lovely table for 2. It had a slight wobble but the waitress fixed it for us right away and then did light a candle for us.
Drinks for served quickly. One beer, one cocktail and water for the table.
Food order taken soon after both ordered the Honey Duck with crushed new potatoes. Was lovely. Very filling and also came out from the kitchen in good time. Well done to the chefs on a busy Saturday.
Also had pudding. One sticky toffee pudding and one brownie. Both delicious.
Our waitress was lovely and checked back on us making sure the food was ok and that we had enough drinks.
Will be coming back soon
Brilliant for children. My one year old was very well catered for. Including getting her food out earlier. Lovely waiting staff to! Will be back again.
Not sure I'd revisit in a hurry.
Yes it was a Tue evening and we were the only ones their but whenever others arrived, rather than spreading us out across the ample sized room the waiting staff insisted on leading people to the tables right next to ours.
Staff not particulalry attentive, on table knowed over a glass which smashed and they didn't so much as turn their heads.
Food average at best, not what we'd been expecting.
3rd visit and they are very lovely and accommodating!! I finally settled on the third table - I felt like Goldilocks !!! The staff are friendly and polite. We had roasts 2 lamb and 2 beef as usual they were delicious and extremely large portions!! Delicious toffee pudding and chocolate coconut brownies finished our meal!! And as added extra it started to snow big fluffy flakes beautiful!! Thank you very much and we will be back soon !!
Really lovely meal, tasty and a good portion. Coffee was lovely and friends who had alcohol ended their drinks. Only downside was we were told we couldn’t order desert as it was time to leave … but would definitely return 😀
Very average burger, lamb was ok, terrace restaurant cold as automatic doors kept opening. Rubbish on the floor from previous guest. Very average
Very enjoyable meal with lovely river view. Only slightly spoilt by the noise level from a large group of men. The service could have been better though and one thing we asked for never arrived.
Food was average, staff was great
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was well cooked and presented. Conservatory on riverside gives nice views.
But menu is rather uninspiring - basic pub food.
Great service from our waiter. Wonderful food. Good value. Lovely atmosphere. Would definitely go again.
Great Sunday Roast!
A lovely toasty warm conservatory to walk into on a cold afternoon.
Friendly service and good foid
The venue was fantastic and everybody loved both the quality, taste and size of the portions. An amazing place to eat - highly recommended
Our coeliac guest had little choice, she was told the chips were GF but not sure they were?
As soon as you arrive you get a good welcome from the staff, the service was good and the food was amazing. Brilliant spot right by the river. Can’t wait to go back.
Lovely food, and we managed to get the 35% off Win-Win
Food great with lovely views over the river. Puddings were delicious
Quality of food below average. The burger was one you’d expect at a van after a night out. Apparently fresh crab tagliatelle…. No chance. Over flavoured with chilli and spring onions. Crab not fresh and tasted a little like mashed up tinned tuna.
Friendly staff, it’s only saving grace. Sorry.
Fabulous location, great food and excellent service - what more could you want?!!
We had a mid-week lunch, sitting in the covered outdoor dining area. The setting and service was very good but unfortunately what we chose to eat wasn’t. We had fish and chips, both of which seemed to have been double fried and were therefore overdone and too crispy, plus tasted heavily of oil. A shame as it’s a nice place.
Booked the Boatman for my husbands birthday after reading great reviews. I can honestly say the reviews were spot on .Great views over the Thames delicious food beautifully presented and very attentive staff.
I would highly recommend booking as the Boatman seems to be a popular destination.
Chose this pub for lunch before our trip to the theatre. A bit colder outside these days so entering the warm restaurant area with a view of the river was a pleasant surprise.
Ordered the lamb shoulder and wasn't disappointed. Warm and hearty meal, much needed at this time of year. Very happy.
Would recommend to anyone looking for a spot of lunch in Windsor.
It was our first visit to the Boatman . And we will definitely be returning again soon.
Overall I will give everything 10 out of 10 .
Excellent ! Couldn’t fault anything.
Was really excited to try here but didn’t think much of it. The venue and location are gorgeous - can’t complain! But the service was pretty slow and the food wasn’t great. The king prawns were more like squid in a bowl of oil. Had 35% off though which eased the blow. Love this place for drinks but won’t be returning for food
Great restaurant, good choices on the menu. Affordable prices. Staff are friendly, attentive and accommodating. Thank you so much.
Lovely delicious food with very attentive courteous staff
Booked for a Sunday for a reason a roast was called before we arrived to say no roasts my friend had chosen your restaurant to be taken for her 60 th birthday so she was disappointed and I was angry
And £177 for 2 people way too expensive I ate at the Dorchester for less and your menu is limited
And close at 9pm really
Food was outstanding as always however service was disappointing. The waitress forgot to put the ticket through for our mains so we waited nearly an hour for our meals. Water was put on table but no glasses and plates weren't cleared away. It seemed that there were inexperienced staff on shift and not the experience we had on our last visit.
The roast was pretty dry, also the chips were like dust. Maybe it is because we went late afternoon. The waiters were nice, but overall just a but ‘meh’. Nice location.
Wasn’t happy with the pork roast today
What a nice place, first time at the boatman, great pub, nice staff, overlooking the thames in the middle of Windsor, went there before visiting the Castle, generous portions so needed a walk around the castle to let lunch go down. We had sunday lunch and thought it was super
Great atmosphere and setting. Good (not excellent food), very good value for money. Affordable and good service. All in all a pleasant evening.
We had the lunch menu, the pork should melted in the mouth and was delicious but those within the party who had the burger were underwhelmed. The service, ambience and overall experience would good. We will be back again soon
Very good meal and service was just as good, definitely recommend.
This is the second time we have traveled to London and eaten at the Boatman Pub. This place does not disappoint. We always have the best cocktails, beer and the absolute best Fish and Chips plus the atmosphere and river views are amazing. If we are ever back in London, we will most certainly go there again!!!
Arrived on Sunday night and we both chose a Sunday roast we had been out walking all day and were famished. Plenty of waiters around but seemed ages before they came over with menu's. Eventually a waitress arrived to take our order
The meal came and we asked for extra gravy when it came it was in a container the size of a egg cup.by then the meal was cold, we told the waiter but he wasn't bothered about it and said so to us .Very bad service and won't recommend or return
We had the Sunday Roast. Our chicken was plentiful and deliciously tender with an abundance of roasted vegetables.
Very good as usual. Slightly cold and noisy in conservatory and menu has changed and felt slightly limited but quality of food was great.
