On a sunny day, tables are allocated outside based on the date the booking was made (early birds!) We will do our upmost to accommodate you outside if we can. Please call us on the day to see where you will be seated as special requests are not guaranteed. We have zero tolerance for aggressive behaviour.

The Boatman, is Windsor’s only pub on the river at the foot of Windsor Castle overlooking Eton Bridge. Serving freshly cooked food all day everyday from midday to 9pm at night, in the cosy bar, restaurant or in the stunning riverside all-weather conservatory, there is a fine selection of wine, ales, cocktails to choose from.
The bar area and terrace is dog friendly, we cannot accept any pets in the conservatory or restaurant.

                  Food was lovely but it didn’t all come out together. It took a long time from being seated to being offered a drink and I asked for another drink which never arrived. Staff were friendly but had too much to do I think

                  We were in the Conservatory outside, viewing the Thames, what more could you want? Well we got it superb food and service, at reasonable cost.

                  Boatman in Windsor is tops! It is placed beautifully by The River Thames and copes with all weathers. Food is excellent as are the staff, cleanliness and drinks. Highly recommend

                  First time here, went following a recommendation. Was not disappointed, food very good, but it was the service I think that impressed me most. Well done to all the staff, a smile and a willingness to serve goes a long way. If you are in Windsor, book it. Lovely location too!

                  I had the tuna steak was delicious and made to perfection although the side dish was quite bland white rice . The place was very busy so obviously quite popular. I'll go back. Very noisy though.

                  The portions were very generous and the food was good. The service was warm and friendly until it felt like they wanted the table back. The main building had a wedding event and the marquee had an event for about 30+ people with 2 or 3 large tables which we seated right next to. We had a table for 2 in the middle and quite near the door so we could barely hear ourselves speak. It looked like it was too much for a couple of parties who left before ordering. I like this restaurant a lot because the food and service are good but was really disappointed this time.

                  Visited for lunch yesterday to celebrate Mum’s birthday and early Father’s Day. Such a great atmosphere with great food and service. My Mum suffers with arthritis and one of the waitresses even took her to the downstairs disabled loo and offered to wait for her. They went over and above to ensure that we had a great time on a rainy afternoon in Windsor. We will definitely return when we are next visiting fro. Spain
