The Boathouse on Naples Bay

Service was accommodating and the food delicious. It was a cool evening, but the heaters do the trick outside.

Waiter needs a personality.

Food was mediocre at best. Very salty and heavy on butter but not tasty or memorable. Drink menu was uninspired and the beer selection was an absolute joke. Service was good, not terrific (weekday so probably not well staffed so not going to hold that against them given COVID issues). Fish was actually cooked perfectly, moist and flaky. Seems like it was just cooked in a vat of butter. No true flavor. There is a weird mix/match to sides and such so there is no flavor coherence and made for an meal that was lacking when compared with the bill. Go somewhere else.

Very comfortable experience. Food was terrific and the selection of choices was more then satisfying. I would definitely return.

Still a great view - but had reservations still had a wait had to check in twice people that came after we arrived sitting down almost immediately? Restaurant inside and outside wasnt real busy so must have been the staff , needing more servers. Most everyone had masks or protective covering. Lobster Mac and cheese used to be y favorite here - but price has increased and serving is smaller. I would still recommend trying to out just for the view we sat outside by the water on a cold night but was still nice.

Great selection on the menu. Our server, Mollie, was awesome! Attentive with being overbearing, courteous, fun! Made our dinner there very enjoyable!

Great waiter and food

Our first time dining was fantastic! We had a beautiful view of the water from our table. Wonderful selection of seafood and fare from land. Will definitely be dining again.

Been several times. Not great server this time. Wasn’t notified they were out of ordered food until everyone else’s food arrived. Request Kerri. She’s an amazing server we’ve had in past. Food always great. Reasonable prices. Great location.

We went here intending to have a lobster lunch but the server made us feel so unwelcome we had the coconut shrimp appetizer and left. We were seated outside on a perfect afternoon. The waiter was an older man who would literally drop off our items and keep going. I don't think he said a word to us. It's unfortunate to have somebody like that representing your restaurant.

Enjoyed the food, service excellent, and outdoor dining relaxing

We dined outside and had nice heater to keep us warm as it was a chilly evening. Our server was outstanding. She was very attentive and delivered hot and delicious seafood.
We did have a very vocal toddler at the table next to us which shortened our time there and put to rest any thoughts of dessert or after dinner drink. Saved us some calories!

Always the best fish, prepared the way you like it at the Boathouse. We have been trying to only eat outside and the Boathouse has definitely stepped up to the challenge. They have recently updated the outdoor tables and chairs so it is even nicer than it used to be out on the deck.

We had local Red Grouper, blackened, and it was excellent as always. They make outstanding Clams Casino for an appetizer.

We had a 5:30 reservation and at 6:00 had to argue with hostess to get a seat. I ordered the lite portion of crab stuffed shrimp and got 3 tiny shrimp with a dot if crab. Plain broccoli was my side. I would not go back as it was overpriced and not all that tasty.

Excellent meals and outdoor seating. Service below standard....long wait time but seemed to be limited to our server only. Excellent choice for dining in Naples area.

We have eaten and enjoyed The Boathouse in the past and enjoyed the food, ambiance and just about everything about it however, sad to say, that his restaurant is not covid compliant nor do they seem to be paying attention to the risk to their staff or to the patrons. They do not follow CDC rules. Just a couple of quickies. 1) To get to the desk to sign in you have to go through the crowd on the "ramp", 2) when you get to the desk there were 7 people (not counting the staff) crammed into a very small space, 3) the gal that took us to our seats had her nose over her mouth but not her nose, 4) in order to get to our seat we had to slide between the chairs of seated diners (our girl asked several to "suck it in" so we could get by, 5) when we got to our table we could reach out and easily touch the next 3 tables (the fourth side was a wall). There is so much more that The Boathouse could do to ensure safe dining. Shame on us though since when I looked it up on TripAdvisor other people had already made the same observations. Shame on The Boathouse for not responding properly. PEOPLE WILL LIKELY GET SICK, SOME MAY DIE, BECAUSE THE BOATHOUSE DID NOT TAKE APPROPRIATE PRECAUTIONS....EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE BEEN MADE AWARE.

We were there for New Years Day for dinner
Halibut with lemon butter was fab but salad very small n broccoli was 4 florets.

Definitely not concerned about Covid there. Had I not been with others I would’ve left or asked to be moved. No partitions; no distancing between tables etc. It was clean & masks were worn. I felt uncomfortable.

Made a 3:15 reservation for Jan 1st thinking we would have a relaxing afternoon.
Wait staff complains about being tired from New Years Eve. Server was absent for most of the time, had an “I don’t care attitude”. Food was not good. Potatoes and lobster were over cooked and dry. Prime Rib was.
Medium well after server assured us we could get medium rare. Very disappointing to say the least.

First, I made a reservation for 3people, outside seating. Arrived 15 min prior to reservation time, as directed. There was no one available for at least 3 minutes welcoming the guests. She appears without a smile or an apology for the wait. Then she proceeded to ask how many in my party n if I had a reservation. She located the reservation n told us that we must wait because all the tables were dirty. We waited. Then when she finally was able to sit us, she started to take care of a guest who was interested in buying merchandise. After her transactions she comes back n told us that our table was ready...we walked behind her, and suddenly she stopped n asked us to go back inside because the table was still dirty. After 5 more minutes, she told us that our table (this is way past our reservation time) is ready to follow her outside. She proceeded to sit us in a corner with no water view, next to the serving tower overlooking part of cars parked on the parking lot, n a restaurant window. She threw the menus on the table n said enjoy.
This young girl had NO customer service manners whatsoever n an “I don’t care” attitude. The restaurant owner should really look into an intense orientation for the hostess on how to welcome and treat the guests who come to the restaurant to spend money and make the place desirable for people to go back and enjoy the experience. By the way, it was 2:30 in the afternoon when the restaurant was NOT busy at all!!!
As for us, we will never visit again or recommend the place to family and friends.

The Boathouse is just a great place to go. The food is very good services without comparison, and the ambience is great. I highly recommend this place to anybody!

1st time dining at The Bosthouse. Had dinner on NYE, excellent staff, service, and food. We enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere.

Lovely restaurant with wonderful ambiance. Our server couldn’t have been better. She made my birthday experience really special. Unfortunately my fish was dry and kind of chewy. Everything else was well prepared. I would recommend- just don’t get the red grouper grilled.

We came here based on the reviews and they exceeded our expectations. The manager, bartender and our server were so courteous and helpful. The food and drinks were delicious. Will visit again!!!

Really cool place on the water. Food was good. New Year's Eve was busy but our
waitress was not exceptionally friendly. It was just plain service. She might have better luck being a little more pleasant.

There was a speaker over our table that our server was unsuccessful at getting turned off or at least turned down. She claimed to have tried three times. This was our first time attempting to dine outside at the Boathouse. We have always enjoyed the food, but apparently have only dined inside. From here on out, outside is out!

We will continue to recommend the Boathouse for the food, but never again for outside dining.

Such a great place to sit and relax and enjoy a glass of wine and a delicious dinner!!! Needless to say the view is amazing whether your dining in or out!! Our server Joe was very knowledgeable about the menu and could answer all our questions, he made our experience so much more enjoyable!! We can't wait to go back!!

My birthday dinner was less than great. I won’t be back.

We made it to the boat House for our 8 PM reservation for outdoor seating. We were told we could not be seated outdoors but could be seated indoors within five minutes. I asked how long it would take to be seated outdoors and no one seemed to know. Just told us it would be a long time because there were people before us. I asked for future reference does it matter if we make a reservation or not since it seems they were not honoring reservation times? I could not get a sufficient answer. Said Open table wasn’t really them. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Took 45 minutes for us to be seated.
