   As we were staying at Loch Tay Lodges we decided to have a meal at the Boathouse. From the moment we arrived until we departed every aspect of our visit was just perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful. The service was spot on. We enjoyed cocktails to begin with, being a party of 5 and us all choosing different cocktails they arrived quite quickly and were very good. We then went straight onto ordering main course’s 2 of us had the chicken stuffed with haggis, others ordered pan fried chicken and another ordered the sausage & steak pie, all beautifully served and delicious. We then ordered more cocktail’s and some desserts. All very good. Would definitely recommend as staff were very attentive and the food was great and reasonably priced. We shall return when visiting the region once again.

   We had lovely food and the waiting time was acceptable considering how busy the restaurant was. Staff were friendly and attentive. Only a very minor problem with our desert order being slightly wrong, but these things happen. If we are back in the area, we would return.

   Very good but may be worth noting they do include service on bill. We paid twice but there were alot of us and they did well to get us in and out in 2 hours with us having 3 courses

    Visited on a Wednesday evening in March so quiet time. Lovely setting with clear views over loch. Staff very helpful and friendly. Good variety on menu. Food excellent, quick service and large portions.

    The staff were professional and friendly, and the food was absolutely superb! It was a chilly day, and they had the fire on in the middle of the restaurant. I want that fireplace! Amazing looking thing. And of course the views are amazing. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. Ps, try the Iron Bru ice cream, it’ll change your life 😏

    Lovely, friendly & attentive staff and delicious food. Was there on a busy Saturday night but the staff were on the ball and didn’t have any long waits for service or food. On shift was a very young waiter (we think owners son) who was very friendly and professional-the exact person you’d want to serve you. A couple noisy dogs in restaurant but just added to the friendly buzz & atmosphere really.

    Had an Evening meal for 2 (28thJan) Ordered 1 starter (Mushrooms) which were nice, however Sourdough wasn’t toasted so basically mushrooms on bread. Ordered Chicken Balmoral (very nice). Also ordered Steak Sausage Pie. Tasty enough but 2 complaints. The Pie dish was only half full of meat. Even worse, the vegetables consisted of Peas, Broccoli and FROZEN CARROTS!!! The last time I went for a meal and was served frozen veg was back in the 1990s!! Ordered 1 dessert (Cranachan) I didn’t know if the kitchen was having a laugh at our expense! The worlds smallest Cranachan was delivered to our table. 2 spoonfuls and it would have been finished! I called over the female manager who was apologetic and informed the Pastry Chef had to go home early. She took the dessert off our final bill. Young boy who served us was excellent.

    Slow service. Placed orders for desserts which never showed up after 1/2 hour. Asked for the bill at this point. They totally forget with no real apology why and no discount offered

    Bearing in mind that this was a meal for new year's eve i still think that charging £40 for a child's meal was ridiculous. This was not made clear at the time of booking. i actually asked if there was a child's menu and that would have been a good opportunity to confirm the cost. but i take responsibility as well as i never asked. it just never occurred to me. in fact one of the reasons for emailing after booking online was to confirm one of the party was a child so they could plan accordingly. there was also a £17 service charge applied to our bill and no option given to not pay that. i think this is poor - i am not saying that i think it was not due but you should always be given a choice or again it should be made clear up front.

    Lovely lunch on Sunday for three adults, two children and Bonnie the dog, who enjoyed her first restaurant meal of pasta and chicken with vegetables. Very accommodating staff, especially where Bonnie was concerned. We too enjoyed Balmoral Chicken and Cullen Skink, followed by lovely desserts. So highly recommended for food and ambience. Likely to book again

    Ordered Chicken Balmoral which was dry but I ate it anyway, husbands steak and sausage pie was just ok too. But I did love that it was dog friendly. I think as it was a Friday night and busy it impacted on the food. I would return again but maybe earlier in the day. Service was perfect and it is a lovely setting. I would consider staying over a couple of nights.

    Very enjoyable family meal whilst staying at the lodges. Lovely to have somewhere onsite with lovely food and drinks. Service was friendly and attentive and the food was excellent. Added bonus of a lovely view of the Loch.
