Here at The Boathouse we are proud to offer a warm Scottish welcome. Our hearty menu is inspired by the fantastic range of options Scotland has to offer. We have a passion for using seasonal, local produce and are here to ensure our guests have the very best dining experience.

We are delighted to serve up an array of home cooked Scottish favourites including freshly landed fish and chips, The Boathouse steak pie, haggis, neeps and tatties and many other classics.

Our bar area offers a warm and cosy welcome whether your tipple is a beer, wine, cocktail, gin or dram.

And don’t forget we have the most fabulous outdoor seating overlooking the stunning Loch, the perfect spot on a sunny day. We also have a small number of outdoor covered bothies available.

We are dog friendly and serve up a special menu for our four legged friends created by our friends

    It needs a tidy up as we were there 4 years ago and they still have all the same decor although it’s been taken over. Also they still have the same menus up and on the tables although they have a smart lunch menu this isn’t on there website or display anywhere.

    Food was overall really good. However, service was very slow ( though Very friendly). We were there 2 and half hours for a starter and a main. Drink order was taken 15 minuets after being seated, it then then took a further 20 to receive them. Starter arrived an hour after seating, however the starters were delicious. Mains took 1.5hrs after seating to receive our mains. Although the food was great, this wouldn’t be our first option again if in the area.

    Lovely place in an amazing location next to Loch Tay. We really enjoyed the food and the banter with staff was nice and informal. Will absolutely be back whenever we are in Killin for another stay. Fish and chips were delicious.

    The service was fantastic, really warm and attentive, and the settling is spectacular. The food was a bit disappointing unfortunately. The chicken was overcooked, both in my sons kids meal and my husbands starter and the steak pie, whilst the flavour was nice and the meat was really tender, the gravy was beyond watery and the veg was a touch underdone (fresh and crispy is lovely, inedible not so much. It also, weirdly, looked like a mix of frozen and fresh veg). For nearly £18 for a main, I wouldn’t be in a hurry to come back because of the food, but would consider visiting for a drink because the team that served us were so lovely.

    Highlight of our trip to Loch Tay highland lodges for a long weekend. Great food, great staff and my kids really liked it as well and were treated very well. Great after a disastrous diiner out to Falls of Dochart Inn

    Very enjoyable experience overall. Was quickly and politely shown to our table with a great view over loch. Service was excellent and polite throughout meal with our meal arriving in no time at all and well presented and hot. Food was excellent as was service.

    We’re visiting from Canada and came to The Boathouse for my wife’s 40th birthday Sunday roast — it was the perfect way to end a full day exploring the Highlands! The food was absolutely delicious, the service was outstanding, and the location couldn’t be more convenient, just a short drive from our home base in Killin. We couldn’t be happier with the experience. 10/10 . If you’re in the Killin area, this place is a must!
