If you are a local or visiting this place is a must try.
I made reservations a month in advance, arrived 15 min prior to my 6:30 reservation and when I checked in for the outside table they said they were prepping it and would let me know when it was ready for our party of 8. They never said it was ready so checked again at our 6:30 reservation time only to be told all outside tables were now taken. The manager resolved this and found us an outside table after another 15-20 min wait. The table was in the upper deck in a corner but, at least outside. Our waiter rarely came to our table, other servers had to bring us a second adult Bev. They were sold out of items on the menu and food was marginal. Fined at this rest. for years and this is the first time I’ve had a negative experience.
One of our favorite places to sit outside and relax. The service was terribly slow. It took 20 minutes to get our drinks and then I waited until my soup was cold for a spoon. Everything was extremely slow. Not usually the experience there but the last few times there and at Rocket's Landing have made it so we won't be returning. Just can't overcome bad service on multiple occasions.
Wonderful food! The man at the omelet bar was efficient and friendly!
The Boathouse at Sunday Park is our favorite brunch/lunch place after church on Sunday's. Love to sit on the deck overlooking the water.
The Boathouse is a nice experience. Being able to sit on the water and take in the scenery is great. The staff is very friendly and provide great customer service. Everyone that we came in contact with had a smile and were ready to help. The food was pretty good. My main course (crab stuffed shrimp) was just OK, but everything else (chowder, calamari, salad, shrimp tacos) was solid. The apple cobbler was delicious! My partner and I really enjoyed our time there.
This was our first visit to the Boathouse! We enjoyed the food, service & atmosphere!
Great ambience. Decent food but way overpriced. Poor service.
The food was amazing, however the customer service from the host to our server was not the best. We had a reservation for the deck, and they tried to seat us on the inside anyway. Our server hardly came to wait our table, she may have come three times over the course of two hours. Finally we had enough, and I went to get the manager. The manager was very pleasant and apologetic. The food was amazing, however the customer service has lots of room for opportunity and growth.
Our party of 6 celebrated our friend's birthday and had a blast. We just chatted up a storm and laughed do hard that our cheeks hurt. The food was sooooo delicious, the service the best I've ever had, and all of the employees were so friendly and helpful. We all had a wonderful time and all said that we'd love to come back, and I know that we will. Great place! I have to admit though, I had a bit of a hard time finding this place; somehow I missed the turn onto Milridge Parkway and got totally confused; road all over Brandermill, had to ask for directions but had fun while we searched but we found you.
If I could give 10 stars for service I would. Before we ever got to the restaurant, they reached out to confirm my reservation and when I mentioned that we were celebrating a birthday for a friend they went out of their way to make it special. From the flowers waiting on the table to the birthday card signed by the server, you made my friends special day memorable. Thank you!
The service was very slow. Very crowded but still shouldn't have taken that long to get food and drinks.
This restaurant is located in a very lovely setting with views of the water. The food is good and the service is wonderful.
Terrible wait time for drinks and service. Inside tables were not filled yet wait time on food and drinks was over 20 minutes. Waiter was disinterested. Blamed bar for long wait on drinks.
Visit here every few months and always worth the wait. On nice days they open all the windows and patio.
Love going to the Boathouse. Did not like being located behind the bar and hearing the load music.
I usually love dining at the Boathouse, but the last few times have been a bit disappointing. The quality of the food and service seem to have come down a few notches. On this latest visit, it took an exceptionally long time for the main course to come out, and when it did, one plate was prepared incorrectly. By the time the replacement came, the others at the table were nearly finished eating. I ordered a second drink, and while the first one was perfect, the second was awful - It didn't look or taste the same as the first. On top of all that, the bill for 4 people was nearly $200 with tip. I don't mind spending that much for a special occasion, but this just didn't feel special enough to cost that much!
It was a really nice evening at Boathoise Sunday Park! Great service, delicious food!
Great brunch! Love the omelet station. Waitress was attentive and atmosphere was great.
Waitress was neither attentive nor friendly. She put the pizza order in as an immediate order instead of it comeing out with my husband's dinner, so it sat and got cold. We had to put our finished drinks on the edge of the table hoping someone would notice. We would have easily had two more drinks each as well as desert if we had had a different waitress. Only redeeming aspect for our ten year anniversary dinner was that the food tasted good and the drinks were spot on.
We made a reservation for a “waterfront table” at 5:30
We arrived a little early and the table was ready.
Had a beautiful view while it lasted.
We were siting 2 feet from the window and our waitress was great. Then another waitress vamemiver and said she needed to pull the huge screen down because a diner at a table 30 feet away had “glare in her eyes”.
After we discussed, we decided that we asked for this table and we raised the blind a little bit so it was as high as the one next to it.
About 15 minutes later the same waitress, not ours, came back and lowered the blind again.
We were done at that point and left.
Here’s some advice for the restaurant. Maybe when someone makes a reservation for a waterfront seat you should not let anyone else ruin that.
The other waitress should have offered to reseat the complainer so the sun would not bother them. Or, offer complimenty sunglasses to wear while eating rather than ruin the experience for others who did have special requests.
And for other diners, if you can’t take the sun then ask for an interior seat away from the windows.
I think I've reviewed this before, so this may sound familiar: we like their Sunday brunch omelet bar. The omelets are inventive and delicious. The accompanying "buffet/bar" of sides is delicious: crispy bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, biscuits.... I gave only 4 stars for "value" because I really don't like to pay $5 for a cup of decaf, which was all I really would like to drink. The French Press pot is delicious, so it's worth it, but I'd like another choice. We'll definitely return.
Fabulous. Staff was polite speedy and attentive Food was excellent. oysters Rockefeller were the best I ever had. One of our favorite places for brunch in the area. Highly recommend
We had a great brunch at The Boathouse celebrating our engagement with our families. The manager even went out of her way to congratulate us and offer us a champagne toast. It was such a lovely day!
Once again, this restaurant has been consistently good. It has been a while since we last went here, but the food was great - went for Sunday Brunch. We chose to use the have them make an Omelet with your chosen ingredients - while you watch - and then visit the buffet to get our fruit, biscuits, additional meats - bacon and sausage - potatoes and more. They have a gentleman who plays and sings. He is quite good.
The ambiance is good and noise level moderate.
Great brunch! Great value! Will be back. Food and service was perfect :)
As usual, the service and food were excellent. Always enjoy dining at The Boathouse at Sunday Park. My husband had the Filet, I had the salmon and our friend had the scallops. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their dinner.
Great food! Husband ordered steak, I ordered broiled seafood combination - it was delicious. Seasonal vegetable was asparagus!!!!!
The experience was amazing! Great restaurant, view, and the food was absolutely delicious!
The food was excellent! We’ve eaten at the Rockets Landing location and loved it as well but, Sunday Park offers better views in my opinion. It is especially beautiful at sunset.
My wife and I had a very good dinner and service. Excellent view from the 2nd floor of the lake. The chilled seafood platter was great just as it is at the Rockettes Landing location.
Great service!!! Omg fantastic food
This is a fabulous place with exceptional staff. Very accommodating in every possible way. The food is delicious, the drinks are wonderful and the ambiance creates a very special evening out.
This is our go to restaurant for celebrations or having visitors. My wife usually doesn’t like the menu choices but the chef was able to find her an entree that was GF and dairy free. She loved the Risotto. My other 3 kids loved their meal too.
Great dinner, service and atmosphere. All 6 of us had a wonderful time.
I would highly recommend The Boathouse at Sunday Park
Our favorite place to dine! The best sunsets in the entire Richmond area!
Food was delicious and service was outstanding. Highly recommend!!
My mom and I had a wonderful seafood dinner with a beautiful sunset. She had the special, a grilled salmon over cheese grits and it was divine! I had the whole lobster with mash potatoes - also good. We ordered a bottle of wine and the apple crumb dessert. Our waiter was training a new waitress and everything went perfectly. Will definitely be back when it’s a tad warmer to eat outside and really enjoy the view.
Our Birthday dinner was great! Extra stars to Robin the manager on the Saturday we were there and our server "Sam"!
A party of 4 we ordered: Surf and Turf, New York Strip, Broiled seafood combo, a Cesar Salad w/chicken, a Nice little tossed salad, Calamari, Black out Chocolate Cake, Bread Pudding and a Zookie. All exquisite, with a flavor palette to die for! Hostess and Server were excellent as well, very attentive but not intrusive. Awesome dining experience!!
